St. Augustine's Premier Art Festival for over 50 years!St. Augustine Art AssociationFall Art & Craft Festival Local, regional and national artists are invited to enter the annual juried Fall Art & Craft Festival, held Thanksgiving weekend at the Special Events Field in the Uptown Arts District of St. Augustine. Categories include: Painting, 2D Graphics, Photography, Sculpture, Pottery, Jewelry, Fabric, Wood and more. Entry application is $20. Fee for 10x10 booth space is $200. Monetary prizes will be awarded, including $1000 Best in Show. Artwork may be submitted on disc or slides. Thousands visit the Festival yearly, making it a great venue to show and sell your artwork. This Call for Artists is open to all women artists working in the Southeast region. Entries must be original and be postmarked by June 26th 2009. I used pieces of my own seriagraph images and small examples of my clay work created from molds that I also made. Children are my subject matter. These depicted children are in a learning environment. Children are our future and our children need the village to be in place to insure the quality of their development".

This show is a collection of inspired paintings by artist Marsha Hatcher from the mission fields of Africa. The sale of any works or prints directly benefit the 2009 Mission To Malawi. Donations are welcomed and taxed deductible. For a $5 donation you could win one of Marsha's "PLEATED CONSTRUCTS" a $350 value. Drawing will be held on May 3oth. You do not have to be present to win.

Opening reception is Wednesday May 6th 5-9PM@ The Art Center - Adam St. location.

BACKGROUND:
There are many animal lovers in our community who are completely unaware of the pet overpopulation crisis here on the First Coast. The number of pets entering our local shelters is overwhelming. 60-120 adoptable dogs and cats are killed every day simply due to space limitations in overcrowded shelters. This is a problem we can and have to solve!

FCNMHP is committed to ending the needless killing of cats and dogs through the only real solution – High volume, high quality FREE and Low-Cost spay/neuter programs. All monies raised from this event will go toward these programs and directly affect our community’s pets. Join us and become a part of the solution!
