Questions by the Wayside

In the general bustle of church life it is sometimes easy to push aside the tough questions we have because they are just too hard, or there isn't the set-aside space to discuss them. But all of that is about to change.

Questions by the Wayside is a new event where a Friday night sermon time will every so often be dedicated solely to answering any questions you may have. These questions can be in regards to past sermons or just things in general about God that you have been longing to hear someone in-the-know discuss objectively for a long time.

So . . . put aside the idiom that some things "we just don't talk about", and please make the most of this opportunity by posting your questions in reply to this thread. We will keep you updated about the night on which they will be answered.

It seems like Seamless will be playing this Friday led by Jase the ace, fast-paced, adrenaline-laced, van der Hulst.

Preaching a hole in the carpet is the one and only Symon I'm-never-getting-a-Facebook-page Drake, with part 2 of his Baptism in the Holy Spirit series.

Fire and hail probably will not rain on you and your household if you don't come, but why take the risk?

Flame Deluxe, Arcticly Cool

If you had the privilege of attending Flame Deluxe last Friday (26th June), then you will know that it was a huge success and everyone who went had a fantastic time. It was simply copacetic, laudable, meritorious, sublime. A huge thanks to the legendary Dave Wiggins, Les Boucher, Jamie Garrick, Viewmaster, Buchanan duo, the waffle making extraordinaires and everyone else who worked hard to make the night possible. You guys rock!

If you missed out then you'll definitely need to come along next time, or better yet, come to Flame youth church on a Friday night.

Every so often renewalyouth will be running a deluxe youthchurch service where all our church family is welcome. Flame Deluxe 01 will be held on Friday June 26th (This coming Friday!) and will feature local acts: Seamless, Buchanan, Viewmaster, Jamie Garrick, Lesmond J and special guest Dave Wiggins, NZ's top clean comedian!

The awesome thing about Flame Deluxe is that it is free! It's gonna rock... and I sure am looking forward to Lesmond J!

Revolution Tour coming soon!

Equipper's Church Revolution Tour is coming to Whangarei on Saturday 16th May (7.30pm @ Alive Church). Tickets will be $10 at the door (that's cheaper than a movie ticket ;-). Looks like its going be an amazing night with heaps of performers/bands etc. Be there!

This Friday we are privileged to have Stephen James speaking at Flame Youthchurch. Stephen (Steve for short) is the Youth Pastor at Crossroads Community Church, Whangarei... and does a phenomenal job and is a really really nice guy!

Seamless is playing (intro-ing a new song from The Glorious Unseen), and there will be a couple of surprises also... namely a good cafe and musical item.

Easter Outreach rocked!

Once again the Easter Weekend outreach in the pasrk was a blast! A huge thanks to Prem and Richie (and their awesome team) for overseeing the event and all the hours of hard work they put into it. Next year's Easter Outreach promises to be bigger and better, and is already in the planning stages with some very exciting concepts being talked about...

Flame @ the park this Friday!

Flame will be having an outdoor youthchurch service at Laurie Hall Park (Centre of Whangarei) as part of the Easter Outreach weekend on Friday April 10th.

The service will kick off at 7pm and among other things, Auckland rapper 'Izy Cates' will be performing as well as 'Seamless' band and busking duo 'Viewmaster'.

Will be a great night. Be there and bring your mates!
