There are so many great new releases this month, but Monster Medical has got to be one of my favorites! I decided to make a "tissue" gift box and matching card. You can use any box template you would like with a lid. Just cut a slit in the top of your box lid and stuff a tissue in the top!

This week's Etsy shop for your inspiration is quiltish. So many fabulous patterns and fabric for your inspiration this week. I was inspired by the colors of the washcloths in the upper left photo.

I {heart} this plaid ribbon from May Arts! It is so soft and the colors and the plaid made me think of school. I used this school house stamp from Unity, and the sentiment is from MFT. The paper is from my scrap bin, so I can't tell ya where I got it! I stamped the sentiment and schoolhouse in tuxedo black memento ink and then colored the school house with my prisma pencils. The school house is stamped on kraft paper.

Hello! I made this card today for the what to use challenge over on SCS, and the Limelight sketch challenge. For the Limelight challenge we were to also use chipboard on our card. My chipboard comes from Colorbok-got it in the dollar bin at Michael's. My base is kraft and I used paper from Making Memories Autumn Splendor collection. I tied some hemp twine through my chipboard buttons. I used the SU sanded BG stamp in black. For the What to use we were to do a faux technique or finish. I used a sentiment from Unity at the bottom of the inside and then tore across the front of the bottom.

Button Wreath Ornament Tutorial

Hello! Emily Niehaus here with a quick and easy button wreath ornament for you! The Paper Maniac offers a wide variety of buttons at a great value. I wanted to show you how to put your buttons to use, and make this easy ornament. My sister made these for everyone several Christmas's ago, and tied them to her gifts. It is a tradition that she makes us an ornament every year.

First you want to start out with 8 buttons of the same general size. If there are small differences in size it is okay. I decided to use 8 of the exact same button for this tutorial. You want to use a thin wire to weave in and out of the button holes, as if you were sewing. This helps to make the circular shape you need for your wreath. I used a 28 gauge wire for mine. You want it to be thin so that you can easily string your buttons on.

After you are done sewing the wire into the buttons, twist the ends together at the top, clip and tuck on the back of your wreath so they don't show.

Now you need some embroidery floss. I chose red. I used a large embroidery needle and sewed through all of the button holes over top of the wire. Make sure you don't knot it and leave a large enough tail so that when you get back to the top you can tie them together for your hanger. Chose a ribbon of your choice, and create a beautiful bow for your wreath! I hope you enjoyed this button wreath tutorial! CAS Cards!!

Hello! I made these cards for the CAS challenge over on SCS. We were to use white and one other color. I have been wanting to ink up this peacock from Unity, and decided it would look great in Pacific Point blue. I added the friendship sentiment from the Everyday Adorable set. I added some white satin ribbon at the top and some punched circles and bling at the bottom to finish it off. My MIL loves peacocks, so I thought of making her a note card set of this card in different colors for Chirstmas.

I also hadn't inked up this Patterned Pines set from my last ever SU order. I paired it with bermuda bay paper and ribbon and use the word window and modern label punch for my sentiment.

Hello! I made this card with one of Artful INKables new sets, Down on The Farm. The fence, chicken and sentiment are all seperate stamps. I love the versatility of this set. You can use multiple stamps to create different scenes. I used some DP from Daisy D's and colored my images with prisma pencils. If you are a Twilight fan, check out the info on the blog about the Twilight blog hop which is open to anyone as long as you use the Twilight stamps from AI.

A Gingerbread Chirstmas!

Hello! Long time no card, huh? I just got done working three 12 hour shifts in a row, so not much time for stamping! I was excited to find this free digi image from Digital Delights over on SNR. Go check it out! My blog bud Lisa posted about it. Thanks, Lisa! I made this card for the Limited supplies over on SCS, too. We were to make a Christmas RAK using only one piece of DP and limit our layers and embellies.

I colored the image with prisma pencils and blended with OMS. I added some glitter to the sucker and the icing drips on the bowl. The DP is by American Crafts that was in my stash. I used both sides, the green and the red and green pattern. The sentiment is from Artful INKables set Holiday Tails and Treats.

edit: Upon closer inspection, I think that what I thought was a lollipop, is actually supposed to be a wooden mixing spoon! Someone just PM'd me over on SCS and said I think you forgot to finish coloring that spoon. LOL! Oh well!

embellish magazine challenge

I made this for the challenge over at embellish magazine. You can find it HERE. This also works for the CAS39 challenge over on SCS today. I am totally in love with this little owl from Unity's October KOTM. So darn cute! I have had this DP from Chatterbox since summer, and it was perfect for the color challenge at embellish! I stamped my owl on kraft and colored him with prisma pencils and blended with OMS. Added some bling to his eyes.

Hello! I just love this little beaver from the Holiday Treats and Tails set from Artful INKables. I decided to make a pizza box that could be filled with goodies for the holidays for a co-worker. These little pizza boxes are soooo quick and easy to make! You can find the tutorial for the pizza box HERE. I colored the image with copic and prisma markers. The DP is retired from SU. Hello! This week at the Paper Maniac, the focus is on crafts for kids. The PM store offers many kits that are great for kids and crafting. I was looking at all of the fabulous buttons from the PM store and decided to make a snowman out of buttons. My son loves to use my cuttlebug, so he decided we should make an ornament. He picked the colors, and it was his idea to add the black kaiser pearls for the eyes. He wanted to use glitter for the snow, but since mom is not into glitter all over the house for months, we decided stickles was a safe and less-messy route! He got a little help from mom when it came to the bow on top, but otherwise did it all himself! I think this would be cute as a gift tag or an ornamanet. What's Moo at Artful INKables?

Hello! Today I have a card and milk carton box from the newly released Artful INKables set, Down on The Farm. This set is adorable, and so much fun to color the images! Check out all of the "punny" sentiments that go with these cute little farm images...check out the set HERE.
I colored my image with prisma pencils and blended with OMS. I used a clean and simple layout in black and white, but added a splash of pink with the buttons on both the card and the carton. I plan on filling this carton up with some malted milk balls as a gift for a friend.
