I have been selected to train with Al Gore for his Climate Project, Sept 24-26th, in Nashville, TN. I and 50 others from around the country will be trained to give the presentation that was shown in Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” movie.
I plan to incorporate the presentation into my multi media global adventure show during “Alison Gannett’s Global Cooing Tour” this winter. been getting quite a few questions and comments on the ski resorts that have closed for summer skiing.
I gathered my information from several websites, and the resorts that are listed as being closed or recently closed for glacier skiing are:
Solden – Renttenbach and Tiefenbach, Austria
Alp d’Huez, France
Les Diablerets, Switzerland
Alagna, italy
St. Moritz, Switzerland

The infamous no entry, no prizes, and no map 100 mile underground race took place on Saturday under sunny skies. Here is some of the information I compiled.....
Seven resorts in Europe have closed glacial summer skiing in just the last two years- and blame global warming. The latest UN report on climate change warns that within 50 years over 200 ski resorts may have to close due to climate change. Another European report predicts a 2-4 degree alison gannetthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12208803914887900819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21078852.post-1152208502914984792006-07-06T08:56:00.000-07:002006-07-06T10:55:02.986-07:00160 milesHard for me to get in the patriotic mood this year with all the political bullshit going on right now, but our parade was sure fun. i particularly enjoyed the float with our mayor, Alan Bernholtz, and the Monkey's downhill mountain bike team.
