Cano F+ ; terrible head isn't in the game when his role in lineup is lessended @ in bottom third of lineup<br /><br />3B. Arod D+ ;does not get the clutch hit, overswings guesses wrong strikes out in key spots too much<br /><br />SS. Jeter-D+ ;does not get the clutch hit anymore defense has improved from last year<br /><br /><br />LF. Matsui A- injured may not return this season but was hitting .320 and getting on base<br /><br />Damon B- liability in field may hit 3-5 or go 4-4 but go hitless the rest of the week too<br />streaky<br /><br /><br /><br />CF. Melk Man D- ; great defense very little offense in spurts he shows what he can do but to many 0 for 4 performances head seems NOT to be in game as much when hes batting 7th or 8th like he is when @ leadoff<br /><br /><br />RF. Bobby Abreu C- ,showing signs of age and rust in outfield not on base as much as his career .395 mark would suggest way down this year to about in the .320's still is a gamer but in the 3 hole maybee needs to set things off more in this lack luster offense and show more power!<br /><br /><br />Reserves<br /><br />inf- Wilson Bettemit -D+ ; for someone with a beautiful cut and swing he really cant hit!!! may show flashes of power, but is a liability in lineup and to opposing teams a sure out<br /><br />1B-OF Shelley Duncan -D ; isnt a major league hitter! will never hit above .240 may get his 15 to 30 homeruns a year if gets at bats but isn't a major league monster the way he dominates class AA<br /><br /><br /><strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff0000;">Pitchers</span></strong><br /><br /><br />Mussina A+ ; what more can you say he's the professional<br /><br />Wang B+ ; injured, counted on to be yanks #1, but really is a number 2, or three on most good staffs<br /><br />Joba B+ ; too early to tell seems to be he's going to be a good starter NOT great!! but was a great set up man closer<br /><br /><br />Pettite C ; two good starts, one bad....even during bad starts battles a professional<br /><br />Rasner C+ ;end of rotatiom typre starter , doesnt have greatest stuff but is a battler I like him<br /><br />SidneyMonsoon;
