Backdrop Designer provides a great new way of creating digital backgrounds for photography and other design mediums. Pick from hundreds of premade backdrops, or customize your own presets. This Photoshop plugin creates beautiful resolution-independent backdrops, very similar to those expensive muslin drapes you may currently have in your photography studio.

Choose a pattern

By using our 'Pattern Generation' technology, Backdrop Designer will create a patterned background at any size and resolution. To do so, pick a 'Texture' from an infinite variation of colors and patterns. Then add a 'Shadow' preset to simulate shadows and distortions, like drapery folds.

Change the pattern

Customize your presets with a variety of simple tools, like color sliders and opacity overlays. You can even create random variations of your composite, for more subtle changes. Then save your new pattern (if desired) and apply the digital backdrop to your photograph. It's as simple as it sounds!

Of course, as with any graphic that is pixel-based, the level of detail in a Backdrop will depend upon your pixel resolution (ppi). Your printed results will also vary depending upon the quality of your output device. Also, Backdrop Designer's render time depends upon the speed of your computer, and the size and resolution of your Photoshop file. Please remember to factor in these issues when you are working on a professional job.
