I missed all this fun a lot.Meanwhile I have a ton of UFOs on my needles and am always thinking of starting new projects. However one major event changed my priorities: my niece is expecting a baby boy. She’s due in October. So I’m on to baby things now.On my needles at the moment: EZ’s February Baby Jacket, Mason Dixons’s Baby Kimono and Puella63http://www.blogger.com/profile/01078033328966921734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2083695835116737168.post-59305355839967432722007-12-26T13:40:00.000Z2007-12-26T13:41:36.081ZChristmas KnittingIn my Christmas Knitting Mason-Dixon book ruled. I knitted7 ballband washcloths;3 MD washcloths;1 cabin log bath mat.Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures. I was too busy knitting. Now I'm knitting washcloths for me! I found some beautiful cotton in a store near me. I bought a rainbow of colours.I still have some gifts to finish. They're for my nieces. I told them I would give them on January 6Puella63http://www.blogger.com/profile/01078033328966921734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2083695835116737168.post-52228256898351542622007-12-03T18:15:00.000Z2008-12-09T18:58:47.828ZLots of projects, Big and Small.I've been doing several things at the same time. I'm an ADD person and these last few weeks have been a bit chaotic. I finished some things though: the wrist warmers, a head band for my niece, a pair of Griffyndor mittens for my son. This is the band. It's a pattern from The Book of Yarn. Meanwhile I ruined my last pair of socks, accidently putting them in the washing machine. I had promised my son a pair of Gryffindor mittens from the Charmed Knits book. When I finish the second one, I'll post a photo.MyPuella63http://www.blogger.com/profile/01078033328966921734noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2083695835116737168.post-70852847899929809012007-11-01T09:40:00.000Z2007-11-01T10:13:51.178ZFinally!I finally got my Ravelry invite yesterday! I'm Puella63 there.I haven't introduced much yet. Only my books (some of them I couldn't because they weren't in their database).Meanwhile, I've been having too much fun building little socks from the New Pathways for Sock Knitters: Book One from Cat Bordhi. I made the first one, then 2 little Coriolis and now I'm in my second Coriolis for me. I've Puella63http://www.blogger.com/profile/01078033328966921734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2083695835116737168.post-87705500943589757662007-10-24T09:31:00.000+01:002008-12-09T18:58:49.010ZI've got a knitting bag!!!!I saw it at the window of a bags and accessories shop and immediately thought it would be ideal to carry my knitting stuff. The shop assistant looked puzzled when I told her why I wanted the bag but, anyway, it's mine now. What left my needles:the second sock with the Adriafil yarn (their on my feet right now);a mini pair with the same yarn to my one-year-old niece: I used a programme called Sock Puella63http://www.blogger.com/profile/01078033328966921734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2083695835116737168.post-76943427449097485182007-10-18T11:31:00.000+01:002008-12-09T18:58:49.446ZWristWarmers!I haven't posted for some days because I've been ill, unfortunately.Anyway, here it's my "brilliant" technique of 2 socks in 2 circs:It's the French Child sock we're kaling in the Vintage Socks group.I would have finished them by now had I not stumbled upon a pattern for some wrist warmers on Knitty.I've made 2 white ones and one black. I'll cast on for the second one today. Here's the picture:ThePuella63http://www.blogger.com/profile/01078033328966921734noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2083695835116737168.post-55556471853942710792007-10-14T22:09:00.000+01:002007-10-14T22:25:23.443+01:00Better than 2 circs and magic loop?Ok! I've been fighting a real war, trying to knit two socks on 2 circs. I followed some instructions I found online, but everything got so entangled that I just screamed and ripped everything off. Than I tried 2 circs on magic loop and the result was the same.Maybe when Amazon sends me the new book by Cat Bordhi, I'll learn something on the subject.Actually, I don't know if her book has somethingPuella63http://www.blogger.com/profile/01078033328966921734noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2083695835116737168.post-76509620009575325062007-10-11T10:40:00.001+01:002008-12-09T18:58:50.041ZToday's knittingI've finished the Child's French Sock. It's full of mistakes, though. Here is the result:I don't know if I'm going to make another one or if I'm going to frog it. I don't like the colour. I bought these three balls of yarn in my LYS, which is a very small and dark shop. I didn't quite see the "real" colour of the yarn until I arrived home. Yesterday I went to the shop and noticed that they have Puella63http://www.blogger.com/profile/01078033328966921734noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2083695835116737168.post-80760824240066675562007-10-07T22:07:00.000+01:002008-12-09T18:58:50.266ZKnitting BlogThis is my first post.Recently I fell in love with knitting again. Furiously. Really.I bought a lot of books, needles and yarn. And I signed up to a bunch of KALs and other knitting mailing lists. I also subscribed to some very good knitting podcasts. I'll write about all these in later posts.Today I just wanted to post my first knitting photo. It's the Child's French Sock from Nancy Bush's Puella63http://www.blogger.com/profile/01078033328966921734noreply@blogger.com3
