But almost as importantly, Carl Peterson announced that the Chiefs have agreed to terms with Branden Albert, offensive tackle out of Virginia. The deal is reportedly over five years but per Chiefs policy the financial terms weren't disclosed.

This is a big, big signing for the Kansas City Chiefs as they head off to training camp today. Over at Arrowhead Pride they were discussing who was more important to get into camp on time Dorsey or Albert. I get a sense that the majority of people would agree that Albert is the most important because of the cohesiveness necessary to success on the offensive line.

The Chiefs have signed 10 of their 12 picks. Seventh round selection Mike Merritt hasn't agreed to terms with the team because of an injury. The team won't sign him until he's cleared to practice.

Glenn Dorsey has long been presumed to be one of the longest holdouts in this year's draft. Combine his prominence with Peterson's stubborn negotiating tactics and you've got a recipe for disaster.Clydehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14031535939434709416noreply@blogger.com
