He is looking forward to using his skills as a pilot to serve other missionaries, the national church and the medical needs of people where access to the Gospel is still difficult. Kevin is also excited to be a part of the evangelistic thrust in Indonesia. “As a Christian, I feel a unique duty/calling to share the Hope I have with the lost. I want to use my skills and my life to build God’s Kingdom.” Kevin’s ministry is a response to Matthew 28:19-20: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Kevin was born in Lemoore, CA. His family served with MAF in Irian Jaya (now Papua), Indonesia, from age six to nineteen. His parents led him to Christ at the age of six. “I understood that I could not spend eternity with Jesus without accepting Him as my Savior.” His parents continued to teach and help him grow spiritually, but his real spiritual growth began while he was a helicopter pilot in the Navy. “I began to pray and ask what He wanted me to do with my life and skills.”

Kevin grew up surrounded by missionaries while living overseas. The Lord called him to be a missionary at a mission’s conference while in the Navy. “I realized He was calling me personally, to become involved and to go as a missionary.”

Kevin attended the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD where he received his B.S. in Political Science. He received his Biblical and maintenance training at LeTourneau University in Longview, TX. He has several licenses including his Commercial Pilot License, ASEL, MEL, and A&P. Kevin has served as a Navy Search and Rescue helicopter pilot and Flight Instructor.
Kevin’s favorite verse is I Corinthians 15:58, “Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” This verse is exciting to Kevin because the work will not be in vain. It speaks of giving all our attention and effort to the work He has given to us - the work of reaching a lost world to tell them He loves them.

To fund the worldwide ministry of MAF, God is faithful in providing loyal, generous ministry support from His most caring people. He has called the men and women of MAF to serve Him in a unique way. He is also calling people like you around the world to play a special role in the ministry of MAF.

You are invited to become a ministry partner with Kevin in this strategic ministry. Please prayerfully consider involvement with him through prayer or financial support.

Kevin Lynnehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17337867800706650624noreply@blogger.com1
