In that repetition, that appear in all stories, is mainly a point of textual structure. <BR/><BR/>In Called to Liberty, he shows how the meaning is to be found between the two texts, like between the two Cherubim from the arche. The fact is that history repeats itself. Imagine a person 1000 years from now reading a history of the 20th century with that same presupposition in mind. The WWII holocaust would be an embelishment of the Armenian holocaust, the second Iraq war would be an embelishment of the first war with Iraq (and even with the same person leading it--Bush--only the second time he actually gets the bad guy!), and the list could go on. I'm constantly surprised that such a speculative presupposition is so prevalent among scholars.<BR/><BR/>Todd, why don't you send in your post on Kh. Qeiyafa to BAR?
