tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-203973592009-02-21T02:57:29.224-08:00can you hear me now ...marion e masonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13922600905982134526noreply@blogger.comBlogger1125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20397359.post-1136133988290826402006-01-01T07:09:00.000-08:002006-01-03T21:44:17.963-08:00a new yearit's 2006. i went in search of a new adventure and decided to create this blog. that in itself posed questions of style, name and content. ruminating, coffee mug steaming, i enjoyed the intellectual gymnastics of these choosings. defining most settings came without anguish, but naming this blog required serious consideration. blogs being one of our newest avenues in communication, i pondered that basic need in people.... to simply be heard. <br /><br />since man first made marks on the walls of a cave, we have been trying to tell those around us what we think and how we feel. our paintings and poetry, our music and theater, our babbling and our books, in all their great and brilliant diversity share that simple need to be acknowledged.... to simply be heard.<br /><br />in this era of over-abundance, life seems to be experienced in fast-forward. before we've allowed ourselves to savor the totality of an experience we have moved on to the next circumstance. we find such busy-ness in every corner of our lives. frustration has almost become palpable among us. do our children really hear what we're saying and doing to help and protect them. do our employers listen beyond the dollar sign. do our spouses, lovers, friends give a full ear or has the construction of their response already precluded fully taking in our meaning. do those representing us in any arena truly pay tribute or are they acting on their perceptions of half-heard truths. <br /><br />apathy answers when we beat at the door of deaf ears.<br /><br />so then.... i'm answering<br /><br />can you hear me now....<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/20397359-113613398829082640?l=marionmason.blogspot.com'/></div>marion e masonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13922600905982134526noreply@blogger.com1
