This is one of those films. It has some funny moments, like when Jackie Chan tries to cling to the hot air balloon, as the distance flown, but these moments are few and far between. Chan has said time and again in interviews that he wants to be cast in roles different from the usual action and martial arts heroes, who usually plays. Unfortunately, Chan has not yet mastered the English vocabulary. It seems to struggle with every line of dialogue is spoken in this movie. The role requires him to be an action hero, but also requires more "acting" that is used. Chan, stick with your workday. I'm not familiar with Steve Coogan, but I have seen in interviews on "Conan O'Brien", and seems a very fun. Unfortunately, none of his comic skills are put to good use in this DivX film Around the World in 80 Days lame brain. Frankly, I had fun at some of the cameos. The Arnold Schwarzenegger cameo, no doubt, it was fun. Other celebrity appearances, as Luke and Owen Wilson, Kathy Bates and Rob Schneider. Normally, I do not like giving cameo appearances, but no one doubts the reading is rushing to see this Around the World in 80 Days movie anyway. "Around the World in 80 Days" is added to the huge pile of trash that Disney has produced over the years, in the category of live action.</td></tr><tr><td></td></tr><tr><td></td></tr><tr><td>Very unfaithful adaptation of the novel by Jules Verne, but much more entertaining than the tedious and extremely overrated but relatively faithful David Niven version. The Around the World in 80 Days Comedy movie is pleasant and breezy, with some entertaining fight scenes, though it is totally inconsequential. I think it would help to see this DivX film Around the World in 80 Days you have not read the book, because one can not help but think that the extensive rewriting was necessary. Passepartout character Jackie could not have been expanded to many other changes. Phineas changing a Bumbling ridiculous inventor was in fact an attempt to make the DVD film Around the World in 80 Days in another DivX Movie Around the World in 80 Days version of the friend who has been the greatest friend of Jackie in the U.S., but Coogan is outstanding in the role and has no lots of chemistry with Jackie, it really should have made the character as written, which might have made a much more intelligent film. Despite the plot holes and some rubbish but I have enjoyed, at least in that, seeing a DVD film Around the World in 80 Days on TV-on-a-Saturday-morning route.</td></tr><tr><td>This is not so much an adaptation of Jules Verne's novel to the most expensive Around the World in 80 Days Comedy movie Jackie Chan ever. As in his other films, Chan is fun to see the fight scenes in particular. It really does not matter about the argument to go around the world in 80 days. Filius Fogg and his French girlfriend seems to be along for the ride. Fogg was supposed to be a brilliant inventor, but can not find out that your new service is not the French Chan is one of the holes Sillian plot. The other problem with the DVD movie Around the World in 80 Days is, despite the large budget, the DVD film Around the World in 80 Days is false future. The special effects are not very impressive. It is also obvious that much of the DVD film Around the World in 80 Days was filmed on a set and not in place. However, the Around the World in 80 Days movie is watchable and beats Remakes The Stepford Wives. Fortunately, the style changes to keep the viewer on their toes, but the climax is not very satisfactory though. In total, around the world in 80 days is a fun film: Around the World in 80 Days to watch. Has large and not so great moments and can be a little too unconventional for the fans of Jackie, but a good film, however.</td></tr><tr><td></td></tr><tr><td>My son took me out of a Around the World in 80 Days Comedy for Father's Day. He chose this movie: Around the World in 80 Days ... probably not my first choice, but I like Jackie Chan. The humor fell flat on my son, who will laugh at anything, you should have just laughed half dozen times throughout the film. What a boring waste of time! The script was so bad that it was beyond the capacity of actors to do something with it. In one seen a boat captain, played by Mark Addy, who said he had been bitten by a shark and opened his jacket away from the camera to show how he had lost "both" to the sharks. Later we learned that "two" meant her nipples.
