HILL CLIMBING

Just thought I would post these pics they show my hubby Jim

only yesterday reaching the top of Ben Nevis. It was boiling hot at the bottom but in the cloud cover a little cooler he made it in 3 hours. Also shown are Jim and our youngest son Ewan at the top of Creagan Hill behind the holiday park. You can see Loch Creran down below. Not as high as Ben Nevis but the view is pretty good!

At the moment the weather is fab and our boys are catching fish by the bucketful! Have never seen so much whitebait in the loch which of course is attracting other fish to feed on them - not so lucky for the whitebait but the boys are having a ball!

REFURBISHMENT

This winter we are refurbishing the kitchen and living areas in our upper level chalets Badger, Squirrel, Fox and Otter. Not only are they getting a brand new fitted kitchen each (The first one is being fitted 12th November) but also wooden flooring and new Leather Sofas and furniture. Otter and Fox are also getting new bathrooms. We will put photos up as soon as they are fitted and ready. The builders come in January to start on the Railway Carriage so that will be exciting, at the moment the only thing we have managed to get done is fitting of the specially made double glazed windows but at least that keeps the rain out!

THE CREAGAN INN BAR & RESTAURANT APPIN

The Creagan Inn has just reopened after a lengthy refurbishment. It has proved a great hit with both locals and visitors alike and has been very busy since re-opening. It now has panoramic views down the loch and great food and beer. Booking is advisable if you wish to eat. For visitors to our holiday park you are within 500 metres. Train Carriage

We have just bought what is hoped to be the first of a number of carriages which we are hoping to convert into self catering accommodation. The first of which will hopefully be operational by late 2009. The conversion will turn the 50ft by 8ft former Syphon G Milk carriage into a luxury 1 bedroom en suite unit that will be sited alongside Creagan Station. Jim has already started stripping the carriage ready for the local builders Eddie & Charlie to come and work their magic! This is the part I hate - see for yourself there is not much left, but by next year it will be stunning - fingers crossed!
