tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-202181652008-09-06T19:55:42.636-07:00The Diary of PahyaI've played FFXI since March of 2004. I met the love of my life there, quit for a few months and came back (as many seem to be doing now, yay!) We opted to start over on a new server rather than pick up where we left off so I created a mithra RP character, which I've always wanted to do :)Mitsubachihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18288498709773620553noreply@blogger.comBlogger19125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20218165.post-80552526213934180842007-11-19T13:44:00.000-08:002007-11-22T19:16:16.520-08:00OOC:

I'm back! I think he's a new trainiee with one of the Minesteries, he asked me to show him wherrre the Saruta gate was. Looking down at this shorrrt little thing who crrrashed right into my legs I wondered how in the world something so small could wanna go out to Saruta. He looked like Yagudo bait and I told him so. Turns out, he's a little scrrraper! Afraid that if I didn't show him the gate he'd start biting my ankles I guided him out and watched him squish any rarab or mandy in his way. Birrrds on the other hand... *giggles*

He's verrry cute, like all taru. And I plan on making him my little dress up doll, if he likes it orrr not.

You'll also notice that I finally brrroke down and cute my hair back to how it use to be. Having long hairrr was nice, but yesh does it get in the way.

((Hachi is an old roleplayer friend of my and Tai's from our WoW days. Sitting in Windurst Naltai asked me what we were going to do that night. I rrran through the things in my head, -Chase goblins in the Jungles? Hunt trrreasure in Gusgen? Pick the pockets of rrrandom passersby? Or... hmm.... clams.-

So off to Purgonorgo Isle we went! Tai had neverrr been and I'd only been once a long time ago so I was excited to show her arrround.

Even just waiting for the manaclipperrr was relaxing, though I had to talk Tai out of poking the Efts to see what they'd do. Swimsuits, while adorable, do not make good armor. After annoying the nearby efts for a while the boat arrived and we were off.

The manaclipper rrride is so much more fun than the usual ferry trip. The waters are just beautiful! It was rrreally hard not to dive over the side, I wanted to go swiming in those crystal waters so badly, patience... not a virtue of mine.

The other neat thing is that there's a tour guide, and a cute mithrrra tour guide at that.

The boat rrride was over too soon if you ask me, but when it ended we were on the beautiful shores of Purgonorgo Isle. Clams here I come!

I gave Tai a short tour of the island, she got a huge kick out of the uruganites. *giggles* Especially since she leaned on one thinking it was a rrrock and nearly knocked me over in a panic when the thing moved. After gathering her wits she squeeled and began an excited babble about how cute they are, which they are .. in a mossy-squid-rock kinda way.

We spent a wonderrrful day on the beaches, fishing and splashing in the water and of course, digging up clams. Best clams in Vana'diel come from Purgonorgo and if you can manage to get them open with your bare hands (thank you claws!) they're very yummy fresh. By the time we were done we had a pile of empty clam shells next to us about a foot high and very happy kitten tummies.

We sat on the beach and talked for a long while, letting the waves wash over our feet and our tails, watching the sun set. I should go on vacation morrre often, if only to give me reason to wearrr this cute outfit.

Mitsubachihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18288498709773620553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20218165.post-1161645186389010082006-10-23T16:12:00.000-07:002006-10-23T18:57:46.233-07:00So busy, whew!

While wanderrring through Jeuno a few days ago I was flagged down by a mithrra named Luto, I was suprised because she was wearing something that I'm willing to bet was made my Naltai. I'm glad to see herrr designs catching on. She prattled on about looking for someone to gather some inforrrmation for her. I wasn't paying much attention until she said the magic word.... trrreasure.

That worrrd always makes my ears perk up, mreowr. I spent some time working on making my feet hurrrt running around for her. On my way back to deliever some inforrrmation I'd dug up I encountered a hume women who was looking for her lost daughter.

I was willing to help, I can only imagine losing my kitten... if I had one. I didn't rrreally need to offer though since before I could open my mouth my new friend Luto volunteered me. I asked arrround town and someone actually saw the little girl heading outside of town. What little girrrle in a right mind, hume or not, would wander out to Batallia Downs?

Least she was outside, so much easierrr to pick up a sent outside of town. I grrrabed Tai, who was also doing some worrrk for Luto and together we head out. After finding the girrrl's trail we followed it to... Eldieme Necropolis. Starrrting to wonder about this little girl's intelligence... mithrrra back in Kazham would call that naturrral selection. But... in we go!

And good thing we did because we found the little girl, AND we found the mithrrra I suppose to be gathering information on. We also found... a very angry dead guy.

((Two deaths for me, one for Tai and five attempts before we beat him once for each of us. But we did this whole quest with a 30RDM/15WHM and 30THF/15NIN. I'm proud :) ))

He, was NOT a happy camperrr! Thankfully Tsuim helped us out and we got the little girrrl back safely. So where's my trrreasure you ask? Good darrrn question! I got no trrreasure, in fact I got another job. Pfft, this time to Sandoria to look for some mirror or something or another that Tsuim and Luto were interested in. Only thing that got me therrre was the thought of all those elvaan men. *grins*

So off to Sandoria... did I mention that my feet hurrrt? After going there somehow, I'm still not clearrr how but I blame Naltai, I ended up looking down the throat of a dragon.

After all that, I still didn't get any trrreasure! But, I did make some new frrriends.

((Finally! I've wanted to do this quest forever! Very glad to finally have my NPCs. And as a bonus, Naltai's NPC looks like my first character, the one I played when he first met me ))Mitsubachihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18288498709773620553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20218165.post-1161396563775255602006-10-20T18:57:00.000-07:002006-10-20T19:13:40.710-07:00Squeeee! Lookit! Lookit!

Isn't she cute?! Look at that little ball of yellow fluff! She's even cuterrr than she was as an egg. I was out of town for a few days and when I got back to Windurst I was verrry excited to check in on my egg. The choco tarrru (who's name I can never seem to rrremember...) met me at the door, grrrabed my tail and drug me back to see what my little egg had become.

She's the cutest thing everrr, and anyone who says she isn't can meet me outside the city gates. I sat with herrr for a while, feeding her bits of carrot paste while I tried to think of a name. I finally settled on Ayu Momo, it means 'cute little one' in Mithrrran. Though I know she wan't be little forrr long, since even as a baby she's nearrrly up to my knee! *giggles*

I registered her name with the VCS and the choco taru told me I should trrry taking her on a little walk. It was so cute watching her stumble up the rrramp and out of the stables. I walked as slow as I could and switshed my tail , old mithrrra mama trick, little ones love to chase yourrr tail be they cat or bird =^-^=

She was so good following me the shorrrt way to the gates, she kept getting distrrracted by things in Saruta, and the she afrraid of the mandies but that's a baby for you. Naltai has an egg at the stables too and I now she can't wait for herrrs to hatch. We're hoping it's a boy so we can brrreed them someday.
Mitsubachihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18288498709773620553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20218165.post-1160733380258502362006-10-13T02:52:00.000-07:002006-10-13T02:56:20.266-07:00((Random OOC rant/sob, deal with it -.-

Am I the only person in the WHOLE world who doesn't have a level 75 character yet? ; ; Evvvvvveryone and their brother seems to have like, three now. It's a chocobo egg, least that what the hume who gave it me said. Naltai says it'll prrrobably hatch into a cute little baby Bahemoth who wants to eat me. I think she's just being silly, the tarrru at the Choco stables told me it was a chocobo egg so I'm gonna trrrust her. I left it there so it's nice and safe and warrrm and I come back a few times a day to check on it. I rrreally hope I'm there when it hatches. Wonder what I should name it...

Anyway, after starrring at the egg and dancing from foot to foot willing to hatch for so long that that choco taru lady starrrted to worry about my sanity, Miss Kortie invited Naltai and I out to Qufim to hunt with she and Jazz. I needed to worrrk on my Ninja skills so I grabbed my katanas and lots of ninjutsu tools and met them there.

While there I learrrned a very important fact. If you stick Naltai's tail in half frrrozen water while she's busy resting she jumps really high! *giggle*Mitsubachihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18288498709773620553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20218165.post-1160432834803654252006-10-09T15:00:00.000-07:002006-10-09T16:06:54.516-07:00

It's been a long time since I stood herrre ...

Figurrred it was about time I returned to Windurst. I've spent the past few days at a neat little pond I found near the elvaan city. I grabbed a bucket, my favorite fishing pole and set up a nice little camp there. I've been fishing not stop for... days now I suppose. Though I seem to have been counting the hours in moat carp... I'm told that some cute elvaan men will give me something nice I manage to give them lots and lots of carrrp b.. but... that would mean I have to stop eating them!

They're so yummy and tasty, Naltai joined me forrr a bit earlier today. She seems to like the fishies raw, "Fresh with the wiggle" she say. I prefer mine nice and grilled.

On non fishie related news I visited Norg a short bit ago. My mother lived in Norg forrr a long time, the pirates there saved her when herrr fishing boat ran ashore off the coast and out of thanks she worked for them for many years. I spent the firrrst few years of my kittenhood running about Norg so though I don't remember it well, everrryone seems to want to tell me about when I was knee high to a rarab, and look how I've grrrown and such.

I was there on buisness though. The tricks of a Ninja grabbed my attention, not as something I would dedicate myself to by their ability to dodge attacks and meld into the shadows would make theivin' so much morrre fun! So I've begun stunding them, though I'm not one forrr taking hits... which everrryone seems to want me to do. Pah.

((Blasted heck! ; ; Viruses are ebil! And people named Weedpimp run past you. I'm having the hardest time finding friends.

Is it because everyone who remains in FFXI are jaded? They've played so long that they don't notice? Maybe all the people who still enjoy the game are all high levels now and so have no contact with lil' ol me? Or did all the people who enjoy a good RPG leave? It makes me so sad.

This wonderful game has so much potential. I wish I could enjoy it in the manner that it is meant to be. I wish I could find a group of people who are happy exploring, slaughtering goblins and hunting rare items because they want to. Not because they have nothing better to do, or to achieve the next level of leetness.

I want to keep loving this game. Coming back has reminded me why I loved it. There has been much training, and doing missions both for Windurst and a few for the other nations as well. I got to know a bit more about the hume lands, and their relationship with the galka.

The realationship here interests me... galka are so strrrange.
We've had a few adventures in Qufim, including poking this big guy...

But the past day or two has been spent collecting keys. It feels odd for me to collect keys, as I have the skills to open pretty much any box I may find but Tai has found some galka who give us an airship pass to our home of Kazham if we chase down some keys for him. Naltai is so excited about going home... I don't know how to tell herrr that I won't exactly be welcomed there.

I did get the pleasure of nabbing a few shiny treasure boxes to keep my mind of things though.

Naltai and I had trained our favored jobs as high as we could before needing to work on our support skills. We decided tonight to trrry to form a party with some of our new friends from a linkshell we joined recently. The party was NIN, MNK, BRD, RDM, WAR (me) and WHM (Naltai).

The party actually decided to take a turn from the norm and hunt in Buburimu Peninsula instead of the usual Dunes. In gathering all of the members together Naltai got the help of a very friendly summoner she had met while farming in Giddeus. Her name was Madlyn and she wonderfully offered to support our hunting party for a bit. What starrrted out as a short party ended up being a long leveling sesson where I went from level 12 to 15. Madlyn was joined about half way through by a frrriend of hers, another summoner of some renown. They were so helpfull and friendly! As nearly everyone we've met on Carbuncle has been!

Naltai and I ended up getting pearrrls to their LS and spent some time chatting with what seems like a really fun group of people! Including a fellow mithra, very exicted to be making friends again. I left so many back in Kazham, Naltai has been my only friend nearby for the past bit. It was so nice to have linkshell chatter in my ear again I felt like crying with happiness.Mitsubachihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18288498709773620553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20218165.post-1136340272785618662006-01-03T17:58:00.000-08:002006-01-03T18:08:14.206-08:00*yawns*

Ohhhh my. Lazy few days forrr me. Naltai and I haven't leveled recently but we did run into a super helpful red mage who helped us get our skull. So we are set for subjobs... as soon as we manage to get back to leveling =^.^=

I recently discovered that Windhurst is very well known for it's silk cloth production and as such, the thread used to make the cloth is in very high demand, after selling a stack I pulled the crystals I've horded in my moghouse out and managed to get my Bonecrafting up to level 6. I'm making arrowheads, which I've been forcing upon Naltai because she made the mistake of telling me she wished to level woodworking >:)

I've also spent the time working on my "image". As anyone who has met Nanaa knows, half of being a thief is style. Firstly, I decided to be a trendsetter and came up with this:

Cute huh? Naltai seemed to like, and since I did it I've noticed a few mithra running about with tail ribbons as well.

I'm also not much of a fan of Lizard armor. For a mithra, who is naturrrally tan who happens to have brown hair, decking myself out in brown armor is just ... blah. So after much shopping I came up with this outfit:

What do you think? It's muuuuch easier to move in too. I can't stand heavy armor.Mitsubachihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18288498709773620553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20218165.post-1136070508840976712005-12-31T15:04:00.000-08:002005-12-31T15:11:34.693-08:00A verrry productive night for Naltai and I!

We again found ourrrselves in Dunes, hunting. The group we managed to get together seemed a bit rocky at first but after the red mage just stopped... doing anything? (-.-) for four fights and was kicked we found the cutest little taru black mage who also knew how to heal. He didn't seem to speak the same language as the rest of us... weird one. But with a ninja keeping the monsters attention we made very nice progress!

I gained nearly three levels in that parrrty, including 15! I learned how best to hit a monster when it's back is turned and worked out a very nice renkei with the ninja with Naltai and the cute taru both nailing magic bursts. The goblins, snippers and flies didn't stand a chance!

Speaking of which... Naltai and I both managed to find a Crab Apron and a Damselfly Worm! Now... if we can only get overrr our fear of undead and snag one of their skulls we'll be set...

The undead scare me though >.>

((We also managed to get two of our VERY dear old friends from our old server to create alts on Carbuncle and goof off with us for a few hours. I haven't laughed so hard in ages! It's been from 6 months to a 1 year since we last saw them and it was just like old times. Gitaroo, Kelanor you guys rrrock my now-mithra socks =P ))Mitsubachihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18288498709773620553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20218165.post-1135908894254343032005-12-29T18:10:00.000-08:002005-12-29T18:15:00.213-08:00(Level 14! Yay! One more level till I'm actually useful.)

Morrre exploring the elvaan city for me again today. I had just stepped out of the Windhurst Consul when I came upon this little elvaan boy crying...

It seemed he'd lost his father, after wandering around the city for a bit I came upon this man in the weapons shops.

What followed was a very not nice reunion!

Took his darrrn fishing pole! I guess not *all* elvaan men are hot.

Poorrr little guy.

After that Naltai and I decided to make the journey back to the Dunes to hunt a bit more. It was a pretty successful run, we both gained two levels and the parrty was mostly nice, though most of them were green. They tried harrrd and that's all that really matters.Mitsubachihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18288498709773620553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20218165.post-1135840738369035942005-12-28T23:17:00.000-08:002005-12-28T23:36:58.106-08:00Grreetings!
I visited the elvaan lands for the first time last night and came to a starrtling conclusion: Elvaan men are HOT.

*ahem*

Naltai didn't seem to interrrested by them but I wouldn't mind tailing one orrr two home. Also, they seem to have some strrrange love for walls. How can you enjoy the trees if you're always surounded by walls? Still, they seem to manage, they certainly did a good job decorrrating for Starlight.

Even their trees are extrrra tall....

Tai dragged me to the cathedral with much protest from me, not that I complained anymore when I rrrealized the place was FULL of elf men. Mrrrowr. One of them gave me some job to fetch waterrr for him. Who knows....Mitsubachihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18288498709773620553noreply@blogger.com
