Syrian-Lebanese Borders, Inside View

I've been along the Syrian-Lebanese Border points for the last two days Since I'm part of the Red Crescent's Disaster Response Team, things aren't good and they don't seem to be getting any better soon.
More numbers of refugees are coming in everyday, some of them can't go in because they don't have any credentials so the only choices they have are to stay at the borders and wait for something to happen or go back to Lebanon....
We ,the Red Crescent, were giving out water and juice and whatever other Foods we Received in the first two days, and a little kid, probably an 8-year-old, comes to me and says: "Please give me two bottles of juice for my younger sisters, I don't want any for me..." I still hear him say it over and over in my mind, war makes little children grow old, it takes alot of things from them that they'll never get back, Damn.

I'm home now but I'm going over again today and I think I'll be on a 3-day shift, more on the refugees when I come back again

Why I'm an Atheist...

I don't like talking about religion much; eventhough, I'm gonna do it just this one time, I know what I'm going to say will make a lot of controversy, but be forwarned that i'm NOT trying to convert or convince anyone with my beliefs, I'm just simply stating why I'm an athiest; for those who would feel offended by what I'm going to say: "please don't keep on reading..."

- The 1st Paradox: God is fair, or is he? God creates a person knowing that that person is going to take actions that would eventually lead him/her to Hell!! I'm not discussing if this person has a choice or not, I'm assuming that he/she has the ability to choose his/her actions. what I'm trying to say is that creating an entity knowing that it's gonna behave in a certain way even when it has free will, then punishing it for this behaviour doesn't apply to the definition of fair. When God creates someone previously knowing that he/she would choose a path to hell isn't really giving him or her a choice now is it??

- The 2nd Paradox: God gets angry!! Anger is a reaction to a upsetting event that we didn't know about earlier, but since God is omniscient and knows everything, how can he be angry about things that he already knew it was bound to happen?? When you throw a rock up in the air you can't get angry because it fell down again because you already knew will happen. So I find the whole concept of God being angry at the actions of humans very hard to understand....

I Could keep on going about this forever if I wanted because the talk never ends, I think I said enough to explain my point. At the end I just want to remind you that I respect everybody's beliefs and I refuse to judge anyone or be judged based on religious beliefs, "Addein lellah, walwatan lejjame3"

On Life Again...

Life is all about the timing, and I'm not talking here about the importance of time mangment, that would just be too boring. What I'm trying to say here is that life is like a radio!! "How is it like a radio?" You ask.
It's because when using a radio if you tune in on the right station at the right time you'll hear your favourite song played, but if you don't know what station usually plays that song or you didn't have a clue at what time it would be played and all you got was silly talk-shows or commercials at that time, that means you missed your oppurtunity to hear that song at that particular time. Of course your might hear it at some other time or at a different station or even listen another song that you might also like, but that's not the point, the point is that at that time you had a chance and you let it slip right through your hands.

P.S. I've never been good with the radio.

Beginners Guide to Body Building

I've been working out regularly for the past two and a half months, so I thought why not write a begginers guide from my own eperience? This is Body Building 101, the good, the bad and the ugly:

Don't think that your body's gonna change in 2 hours of workout, it would take at least a couple of months to get noticable results, consistensy is the keyword.
Losing/gaining weight is also a matter of time don't feel frustrated if it doesn't happen as fast as you want.
There's no need to get on an extreme diet; just concentrate on brotein and try to lessen the amounts of fat and carb.
Never overload yourself with heavy weights, increase them gradually.
When increasing the weight make sure there's somebody close, (getting stuck with 60Kg./132Lb. over your chest is NOT an enjoyable experience)
Always make sure that you're doing your workout the right way, if you're doing it wrong it wouldn't do you any good if not cause injury. When in doubt ask your trainer.
Hip-Hop and Rap music is the best when working out, it gives you a nice boost. [Rock, Slow, Classic, and Fairouz do not work]
"Just say NO." don't take shortcuts by using steroids or whatever, keep it clean.

That's all I could squeeze out for now, would welcome suggestions.

Dream 2#

I thought blogging some of my dreams would be fun, this is one of my really screwed up dreams, It goes like this:

I'm in a room with a girl, we're talking, actually she's talking telling me things - to tell me she loves me, obivously - and she forgets one thing, apparently she has written them down so she tries to unfold the paper to remeber it but I catching the hint ask her to let me read it. she doesn't mind and gives me the paper, I read the paper while holding the girl between my strong arms ,[since I've been working out for the last 3 months :P], anyway now i know that she loves me and suddenly we're in another room of my house sitting on a bed kissing, [she wasn't a very good kisser by the way]. since dreams are always crazy my mom and little sister appear out of nowhere in the room, [spoiling the fun]...at the same time I look out the window and notice the pretty girl-next-door so I ask my mother or sister to close the curtain,[because I don't want her to see me with this other girl], I don't want to ruin my chance with her now do I??!

That's how it ends, I'm in love with a girl but try not to let another one see us, because who knows, maybe something could happen with her too. I don't know the first girl, the one that loves me, but I have a feeling that I know her face, the other girl, well she's just the cute girl-next-door
Come on I know that this is one F@#%ed up dream, I'm not that kind of guy, infact I believe those kind of people well deserve a punch to the face, but I'm saying to my self this is only a dream so it's ok for it to be crazy.

My Studying Paid Off!

All my studying paid off alot sooner than I expected, I found money in my poetry book ;)
When I told mom she remebered that she might have left some good money in some silly place that she forgot about, she went and looked for it and she found about fifth her paycheck lying around in some cabin in the kitchen...
Ofcourse I demanded a percentage ofo of that money because I the reason she remebered it anyway. I got it, I wish all my study would pay off the same speed!

World Cup!?

World Cup, what is it really about? is it about soccer? nahh I don't think so, we've got great soccer matches all the time and they don't get tenth of the attention World Cup gets.
World Cup is all about the festivities, about the crazy fans, hooligans if you like things a bit extreme, the matches themselves are of minor importance the fun is all before and after the game, it's in cheering and shouting for your favourite team till you feel that your throat's bleeding, have of the crowd never even go the watch the game but celebrate with others and prove their allegiance and support to their favourite teams, and most of the time they don't know shit about soccer...

After Brazil's match with Japan, Brazil's fans, me included, crowded up and blocked one of the major streets in the city, Sweida, with a bus and went on shouting and cheering even folk dancing on top of the bus and in the middle of the street, climbed on street lights to hang Brazil Flags, there even was a car parade that kept coming and goig along the street, the cops were helples and all they could do is wait for the whole thing to end by itself.

Windows XP is a strange strange piece of software:

Case No.1 The Politicaly Biased Notepad:

- Launch Notepad and type “Bush hid the facts” without the quotes.

- Save the file anywhere and by any name and close notepad.

- open the file… what do you see?

Case No.2 The Impossbile folders:

Try this, try to create a new folder and name it (or raname an existing folder) to “con” without the quotes obviously, and press Enter, if you succeed, let me know this also works for “com1” / “lpt1” / “lpt2“.

Case No.3 The undeletable Folder:

And here’s another one, Go to the c:\program files folder and find a folder call Xerox, trust me, its there, now try to delete it, also if you succeed, let me know

Now, there is a logical explanation to Cases 2 and 3 and i know what they are, i’m not telling you though, Google them if you wish however i have no explanation for Case No.1, That is just freaky

Hotmail Spam

Recently I've been getting alot of mails on hotmail that says basically the same thing:

This is a message from MSN, forward it at least to18 people or your hotmail account will be closed, when you do this your msn icon will turn blue!! for more information check msn.com

In other versions the letter says that hotmail is going to be a paid service unless you forward this message to I don't know how many contacts and they contain a link to a BBC.com article that supports their claim. I checked that link and the article is dates back to about 6 or 7 years ago (i.e. too freakin' old to be true, Duh!!) this aniquated article is just used to make this spam more convincing. And everybody so damn stupid to keep falling for the same old trick over and over again!!

You should know it's fake for the following reasons:
1. Real messages from msn staff has the butterfly logo on the letter symbol in you inbox.
2. When msn wants you to validate your account i'm sure that they'll be able to think of a way better than to forward a message to a stupid number of contacts.
3. Nothing is on msn.com supports this in any way, but everybody's too lazy to check, they just forward first ask questions later.
4. "Your msn logo will turn blue" how stupid is this??

And the worst part is that people keep sending this like the folks at hotmail got nothing to do but to keep asking you to keep on spamming under the threat of losing your account!! How people keep buying this I have no idea; think people, think!!!

P.S: just after I first posted this I went to check my hotmail inbox, I found the same message again, wait a minute that's not all the sender had a yahoo address!!! WTF? how stupid can people get? AAARRRRRRRRGH!

Password Hacked

While I was going throgh some files on my pc I was surprised to find a MSN Messenger chat history folder in my documents that goes to my baby sister; "something's rotten in the state of Denmark" I said to myself, she has access to my account somehow maybe she hacked my password through that silly hint I had...

Anyway I was thinking wether to snoop in on some of her chats or not. I believe in people's privacy but didn't she invade my privacy when she entered my account? So after much thought I decided to do it having in mind my two sisters' record of using the internet; giving your home phone number to a total stranger that you met in a chat room, stupid!! so I found she's chatting to older guys, much older guys, she's 14 and they're over 20 to say the least, but what I found was innocent so I just changed my password and made the hint say: "Never think of stealing my password again"

After I put more thought into the whole thing I changed back the password to what it was and decided to keep watch a couple of more weeks, if things remain normal then i'll change my password and just tell her that it's not cool if she ever tried to steal my password again, never to mention finding the chat history; but if I found that somethings were wrong I'll think what to do then.

I'm feeling guilty hacking her privacy but you can't be too careful these days, not on the internet anyway.

I had a Dream

You'd think the way things work is: Nightmares make you wake up depressed and feeling bad for the rest of the day, and the good dreams are supposed to make you feel good. well, not with me they don't; Just today I had my best dream ever and it made me wish that I never woke up, I mean now I'm all bummed out and feeling down. Infact, I'm so angry that I could punch through a wall...(metaphorically speaking).
The thing I really don't understand is that this dream wasn't really what I'd call a best-case-scenario, not even close...
