Use it to let your class know about upcoming events, winners of contests or Sword Drills, an upcoming lesson, etc. Keep your eye on the local paper for clippings such as honor roll lists or special awards that can be cut out and put on your board. Simply ask them a Bible related question, usually a person, place or thing. Have everyone who thinks they know the answer raise their hands and then call on someone to answer. Those who knew the correct answer are experts for that day. This ran over the winter months and consisted of a Bible Sword drill and a series of questions on different passages of Scripture. I had a small plaque made with the name of our church and contest engraved on it.I had them divide up into 4 teams. Each team had a captain that was responsible for their team studying. I think newsletters can be a tremendous tool, especially if you are dealing with children or young people. Newsletters work well with just about any group but it’s really satisfying to see a child’s eyes light up as he finds his name in print.I’m a young people’s Sunday school teacher and I’ve been putting out a little newsletter for them for several years now.
