As a framing device, the main character, Ted Mosby, in the year 2030 recounts to his son and daughter the events that led to his meeting their mother, which explains the title and allows for a narration in the past tense. How I Met Your Mother's other main characters are Marshall Eriksen (Jason Segel), Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders), Barney Stinson, and Lily Aldrin (Alyson Hannigan).

The main action took place in "the present," after the twenty something Ted decided to take upon himself a bride after the unexpected engagement of his friend Marshall to the lovely Lily Ted had his sights set on a girl named Robin but there was no guarantee that she would ultimately be the "mother" of the title, not as long as Mike allowed himself to be immersed in the what-the-hell lifestyle of the early 21st century. The American contestants are Bilenda Madison, Justin Wood, Darcy Sletager, Donnell Pitman, Olga Medvedev, Meaghan Cooper, Mary Greenawalt, Ben Hughes, Cathy Nardone, and Andrew Kelly-Hayes.

For the season finale, there are three intense elimination rounds to determine the winner and the receiver of $250,000. The first challenge is that all four contestants must go out into the streets of Tokyo and have citizens do five tasks. The second challenge is a game called Squishy Squishy. The final challenge is Super Majide, which is an obstacle course made up of many things from previous challenges.

Released in anticipation of season two, Grey's Anatomy includes the show's theme. Performed by the London duo Psapp, it suggests a glitchy, pomo update of St. Else where's intro music as well as tracks that fit generally into a category of literate indie.

The film, which has a robot as its title character was released on June 27, 2008 directed by Andrew Stanton, whose previous film, Finding Nemo, won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and was produced by Jim Morris who previously worked for Lucasfilm.

WALL-E is the story of the last little robot on Earth. He is a robot that his programming was to help clean up set way in the future. Through consumerism, rampant, unchecked consumerism, the Earth was covered with trash. And to clean up, everyone had to leave Earth and set in place millions of these little robots that went around to clean up the trash and make Earth habitable again. After centuries of living in micro-gravity, the humans aboard the Axiom have lost considerable bone and muscle mass, rendering them too obese and weak to stand or move without robotic assistance, prominently from hovering chairs. Every task is now automated, including piloting the ship, which is handled by the autopilot, simply named Auto.

He collects items that he finds among the refuse, including spare parts for himself, befriends a cockroach, and saves a seedling plant, which he re-pots in an old boot. Then one day, he meets EVE, a feminine probe sent from the Axiom to find plant life. He falls in love with her upon first sight, but she does not reciprocate his feelings because her only concern is for her directive (though she does show that she's amused by his actions). When WALL-E shows her the plant he found, she stores it inside herself and deactivates. WALL-E goes to great lengths to protect her motionless body until she is retrieved by the ship that delivered her. Distraught, WALL-E clings to the outer hull as it departs into the depths of space.

The film was originally titled Steppin', but to avoid confusion over the 2006 film Step Up, the title was changed.

The film centers around DJ Williams, a college student at a fictional historically Black university who pledges to join a fictional Greek-letter fraternity. The film's central conflict involves DJ's fraternity competing in various stepping competitions against a rival fraternity from the same school. DJ Williams (Columbus Short) is a 19-year-old growing up in Los Angeles. While DJ is at heart a good kid and a gifted street dancer, he runs with a dangerous crowd, and one night an underground dance competition turns into a brawl and DJ ends up in jail. DJ's younger brother has already died a violent death, and his mother, hoping to put him back on the straight and narrow, sends DJ off to Truth University, a historically African-American college in Atlanta.

At first, DJ feels like a misfit at Truth, but when he gets a chance to show off his dancing skills, he attracts the attention of two campus fraternities. Greek life is a major presence at Truth, and each year the fraternities take part in a "stepping" competition, in which the members show off their synchronized dance moves. DJ joins the ONO house, and is eager to help them take the championship away from their campus rivals, but in time he also comes to understand the brotherhood and community service that's a key part of his fraternity's background. DJ also has more on his mind than dancing and studying when he meets April (Meagan Good), a beautiful coed.

The story revolves around a man who was sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit and his brother's elaborate plan to help him escape his death sentence. The series' protagonists are Lincoln Burrows played by Dominic Purcell and Michael Scofield played by Wentworth Miller. Lincoln is a high school dropout and a convicted felon, who is wrongfully accused of and charged with the murder of the Vice President of the United State's brother. Michael is Lincoln's brother and worked as a structural engineer before devoting full-time to his brother's case.

Created by Paul Scheuring, the show is produced by Adelstein-Parouse Productions in association with Original Television and 20th Century Fox Television. The current executive producers are Paul Scheuring, Matt Olmsted, Kevin Hooks, Marty Adelstein, Dawn Parouse, Neal Moritz and Brett Ratner. Its theme music is composed by Ramin Djawadi, and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in 2006.

The show, currently in its third season, was originally only planned to run for two seasons. The uniqueness of Prison Break is attributed to its serialized story structure, a similar format used by Lost and 24, and to its setting, as very few television series were primarily set and filmed in a prison. Its success and recognition as a prison drama revived interest in the genre.

A judge decides that they cannot divorce right away, they first have to try to stay together. The one who does not cooperate will not get any share of the money. The newlyweds devise ever-escalating schemes to undermine each other and get their hands on the money, only to find themselves falling in love.

Smallville is the town where Clark came from where very strange things started happening with his arrival in a spaceship in the midst of a meteor storm of green rocks from the planet Krypton. Discovered and "adopted" by farmer Jonathan Kent and his wife, Martha, and his extraterrestrial origins kept secret from the rest of the community.

The first four seasons focused on Clark and his friends' high school years. Since season five, the show has ventured into more adult settings, with some characters attending college. Recent seasons have seen an increase in the introductions of other DC comic book superheroes and villains.

Clark's only allies were the lovely Lana Lang, for whom our hero carried a secret torch, and aspiring entrepreneur Lex Luthor, whose life Clark had saved. Just as the soon-to-be-villainous Luthor was essentially a comic character here, so too was the young Clark Kent, miles removed from his adult "Superman" alter ego. Indeed, the series executive producers, Michael Tollin and Brian Robbins, prided themselves on the fact that their version of Kent was never seen wearing the traditional Man of Steel cape and tights. Opening to excellent critical and audience response, Smallville ended up as one of the jewels in the WB Network's crown during its first season on the air.

Benjamin Edward Stiller is an Emmy-award winning comedian, actor, film producer and director. The son of the New York comedy team Anne Meara and Jerry Stiller and was born on November 30, 1965. Split into two competing teams of four, each week teams are given different physical challenges, and weighed to see if they reached their target weights. The show is based on the British Version which aired on the ITV Network from 2002 until 2006. In each episode we see them at home or work struggling to maintain their regime. They are also weighed in teams on a huge counterweight scale. In the final show, each member of the team that has lost the most weight across the series wins a grand prize. The panelists of celebrity fit club are Harvey Walden IV who is the drill instructor. Kid Nation was an American reality tv show hosted by Jonathan Karsh. Forty over-achieving kids are given free reign to create their own society offering from CBS network. Forty kids are given forty days free of adult supervision in an abandoned New Mexico town named Bonanza City to build a new world. In the show, the children try to create a functioning society in the town, including setting up a government system. At the end of every episode, the kids have a town meeting. At the meeting the kids award one child a gold star worth $20,000. The program was originally scheduled to air in the summer of 2007.

The show stresses the difficulty in creating a viable society. While each child received $5,000 for their involvement, Gold Stars valued at $20,000 and $50,000 were awarded to select outstanding participants as decided by the elected Town Council. The town consists of four districts, and each one have identity based on color. The red, blue, green and yellow district.

In each episode, the four town districts compete in a Showdown to determine their place in Bonanza. The first place finishers are awarded Upper-Class and are paid $1.00 in Buffalo nickels each, second place earns Merchant and $0.50 each, third place become the cooks, and are paid $0.25 for their work, while the last place finishers become the Laborers, and earn $0.10. If all of the districts complete the task within a given amount of time, the whole town wins a bonus prize, which always consisted of a choice between a fun, entertaining item (such as pizzas and a mini-golf course); or a vital, utilitarian item (like a microwave oven and religious books), with the decision on what prize to take made by the Town Council. Kid Nation is different on other reality tv show since no one is voted out and the host (Jonathan) asks any of the children if they would like to leave.

Gossip Girl revolves around the lives of socialite young adults growing up on New York's Upper East Side who attend elite academic institutions while dealing with sex, drugs, and other teenage issues. Featuring an ensemble cast, the series mainly centers around the lives of former best friends, Serena van der Woodsen played by Blake Lively and Blair Waldorf played by Leighton Meester, and their shared romantic interest, Nate Archibald played by Chave Crawford. As outsiders looking in, Dan and Jenny Humphrey do not run in the same social or financial circles as their peers but are drawn into their lives nonetheless. The series is narrated by a seemingly omniscient character, "Gossip Girl" voiced by Kristen Bell, who runs a blog about her fellow Upper East Siders — consequently stirring the pot and creating potential rivalries in this exclusive and vicious circle of friends.

The series first aired on September 18, 2007 in Canada on CTV before premiering in the U.S. a day later on September 19, 2007 on The CW, following America's Next Top Model. The premiere episode also became available on the iTunes Store as a free download on September 14 2007, four days before the series' debut. The show received the first full season order of 22 episodes of the 2007/2008 television season of the five major broadcast networks when The CW picked it up in October 2007.

One of the few bona fide hits of the 2006-2007 TV season, the hour-long serialized dramedy Ugly Betty was based on the internationally popular Colombian telenovela You Soy Betty, la Fea ("I Am Betty, the Ugly"), with a few dashes of the recent theatrical film The Devil Wears Prada. The series first aired on September 28, 2006, and won a Golden Globe in 2007 for Best Comedy or Musical Series.

Betty Suarez is smart, sweet and hard working, played by the role of America Ferrera. Decked out in the most unbecoming eyeglasses, dental braces, and business outfits imaginable, who had been hired by powerful publisher Bradford Meade as assistant to his son Daniel, the new editor of the high-fashion "Mode" magazine.

Though Betty did not fit in with the standard beautiful-but-vapid employee pool at Meade Publications, Bradford had engaged her services precisely because she was so homely. He was tired of his womanizing son seducing and abandoning every female employee in his path, and figured that the younger Meade would keep his hands off Betty. As it turned out, at first Daniel not only remained aloof from his new secretary, but also did his "best" to make her office life hell, berating and humiliating her at every opportunity. But the resilient Betty was able to survive these verbal assaults thanks to a strong "support group" consisting of her father Ignacio, her sister, Hilda, and her fellow employee and friend Christina, likewise a "square peg" in the Meade headquarters.

Eventually, Daniel came to respect Betty, as her unique skills and intelligence got him out of many a difficult situation. Like most continuing dramas of it ilk, Ugly Betty was permeated with sinister and slightly campy subplots, one of which involved Daniel Meade's rival, editrix Wilhelmina Slater, who might well have been capable of murdering her way to the top.

Heroes on September 25, 2006. is an American sci-fi drama tv series, created by Tim Kring, which premiered on NBC The show tells the story of several people who "thought they were like everyone else... until they woke with incredible abilities" such as telepathy, time travel and flight. These people soon realize they have a role in preventing a catastrophe and saving mankind. The series follows the writing style of American comics with short, multi-episode story arcs that build upon a larger, more encompassing arc. Even with small story arcs that move the story forward, Kring said "we have talked about where the show goes up to five seasons".

Possess with amazing powers, the main casts consists of Noah Bennet (Jack Coleman) who is more commonly referred to as "Mr. Bennet" or "the Man in Horn-Rimmed Glasses", a father who works for the Primatech Paper Company, which is actually a cover operation for an organization that investigates people with superhuman abilities. Claire Bennet (Hayden Panettiere), Mr. Bennet's adopted daughter, a high school cheerleader who lives in Odessa, Texas, and has a healing factor. Simone Deveaux (Tawny Cypress), an art dealer and gallery owner whose skepticism and complicated romantic life are tested. D.L. Hawkins (Leonard Roberts), the husband of Niki and father of Micah, has the power to alter his physical tangibility and phase through solid objects, both organic and inorganic. Isaac Mendez (Santiago Cabrera), an artist living in New York who can paint future events during precognitive trances. He also writes and draws a comic book called 9th Wonders! which has also been shown to depict the future. Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka), a programmer[10] from Tokyo with the ability to manipulate the space-time continuum. Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg), a Los Angeles police officer with the ability to hear other people's thoughts.Nathan Petrelli (Adrian Pasdar), a New York Congressional candidate with the ability of self-propelled flight. Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia), a former hospice nurse and Nathan's younger brother. He is an empath with the ability to absorb the powers of others he has been near and recall them. Micah Sanders (Noah Gray-Cabey), D.L. and Niki's son and a child prodigy, Micah is a technopath, allowing him to "talk" to electrical devices, which gives him control of machines and electronic devices. Niki Sanders (Ali Larter), the wife of D.L. and mother of Micah. A former internet stripper from Las Vegas who exhibits superhuman strength when her alternate personality, Jessica, surfaces. Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy), a professor of genetics from India who travels to New York to investigate the death of his father, Chandra. Through his investigations, he comes into contact with people his father listed as possessing superhuman abilities.

American Dreams is an allusive drama tv series launched on September 29, 2002. The show is set against the memorable music, the cultural conflict, and the Vietnam war during 1960's, as it follows the story of the Pryor family of Philadelphia during the 1960's.

Seventeen-year-old Margaret “Meg” Pryor (Brittany Show) is a dreamer and a romantic person, shedding her “good girl” image as she and her outspoken best friend Roxanne Bojarski (Vanessa Lengies) continue to pursue their dreams of making a difference as they struggle through the transition from teenager to adult.
