In order for the Washington plan to work, we have to assume that increases in wages don't cause a coincident increase in inflation. I feel this is a false assumption. I feel there are better ways to lift the poorest workers out of poverty. The Earned Income Credit is one way. Another would be the a Negative Income Tax, which is a logical extension of the EIC taken to its purest extreme.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
