Talk about gaseous up in the night! <br /><br />Gerry Pollett's Heart of America started the I-297 fiasco to raise money for themselves--note the $1M the Initiative would have directed to independent environmental watchdogs! His legal analysis ("lots of legal experts agree") was baloney from the get-go and Gerry knew it. He thought he could bully the Department of Energy because that's what he does. <br /><br />This should be a lesson to all progressives and anarchists that "State's rights" does not trump the Commerce Clause of the US Constitution. BTW, The Judge threw out the entire case because the Washington DEQ's witness flatly stated that the whole point of the law was to stop the importation of nuclear waste from Federal facilities. McDonald, rest his soul, was as far from a judicial activist as they come. Interesting though, that you, an activist, should call the Judge an "activist".<br /><br />The mindless, anti-nuc free love and rock-and-roll religion that you espouse needs to grow up and start doing its scientific and legal homework.
