God opened my eyes to the story of adam and eve. i have talked about this before but i am going to say it again. we have been lied to. we believe that a little bit of sin is ok. adam and eve only sinned a little bit. if you think about it, all they did was eat a piece of fruit. yes there were many deeper things at work but all they did was take a small bite of fruit. thats my point. it may seem simple on the outside but there is much more in the heart that has to be dealt with. it has to be dealt with constantly. we cant get comfortable and begin to sin a little bit. a little bit of sin is not ok. God hates all sin. sin brings death. sin destroys families, friendships, ministries, futures, and the list goes on and on.

just remember, a little bit of sin is what brought death for adam and eve. they were kicked out of the garden because of a simple bite of fruit. it was just a little bite
<img width='1' height='1' a long weeki will be honest, i need a break. i had a tough week. the shows were great. we were in mississippi and then arizona and i cant remember but i think it was florida. anyway, the shows were good but i had some dumb things to deal with.
you know how you feel when you are really tired and hungry and things are not going right. i had that this week. it wasnt all bad but i had a few times that i needed a vacation. after many late nights and early mornings in 3 different times zones it began to catch up to me. here is why my thursday was crappy.
first of all i didnt get much rest. then i had to drive back home. no big deal until i got to the truck stop. i began to fill up my tank by scanning my credit card and activating the pump. before i could put the nozzle into the tank something really bad happened. the nozzle wasnt connected to the hose. therefore diesel fuel spurted out like a fire hydrant. i couldnt figure out how to get to an emergency shut off switch. i looked for it and couldnt find it. so i tried to reach the pump without getting drenched with diesel. it was spraying 6 feet into the air and pouring everywhere. i finally got it shut off but i had made such a mess. they had to shut down the lanes and get a clean up crew to clean it up so that it would be safe. im glad i wasnt a smoker or i would have been scorched.
4 hours later i was driving in a parking lot. i realized i was going the wrong direction so i decided to back up and turn around. i looked in my mirrors and put it into reverse. i was driving the big 1 ton dually(which is a very big truck). as i reversed i heard something crunching. i thought it was an aluminum can or something. i was convinced that it was something on the ground. well i checked my mirrors again and still didnt see anything. as i began to back up again i realized there had to be something so i paused. at that moment i saw a lady. yep, there was a car back there. the car had pulled up so close to me that it couldnt be seen by my mirrors. i was so confused about how the car had gotten behing me and me not see it. it was a very small car and i have a very large truck.
anyway, the lady was upset of course and i was confused about why i never saw her or even felt the collision. there was no damage to my big truck but her car was a mess. i still cant believe it.

i feel like it was just one of those weeks. im still alive and well. i am just very very tired. it would be good for me to get a break from people and work, and rest and hit the reset button.

i am so glad i am home. how bout you? tell me some good news bout you
<img width='1' height='1' I wasn't sure what kind of snake it was. I didn't think it was poisonous but after jacob saw the video he said he thought it may be a poisonous snake. That kinda scared me so I decided to research it to find out what I was holding. I know I know, you don't have to say it. My mother has already told me.

I looked at the internet at 1000 pics before I found a picture of the eastern milk snake. I caught an eastern milk snake and it was not poisonous. The snakes are actually good. They eat rats and mice. They also make you want to drink milk. After I held the tail of the snake I wanted to drink milk. I have had 6 glasses of milk each day since. I actually crave to drink milk. Not just any milk, I wanted eastern milk.I guess that's why they call it an eastern milk snake.

By the way I didn't eat the snake. After he tried to jump on me I let him go.

So there ya have it. The winner is lindsay the audio a junkie. She is going to receive a new brock gill "alive on stage" dvd. It will be available to everyone else at the all new brockgill.com on dec 1. That's right, the all new brockgill.com is coming very soon. The greatest entertainer of all time just happened to die on halloween. His influence was and still is worldwide. His name is synonomous with magic and escapes. Houdini billed himself as the king of cards and master escape artist.the thing he knew best was how to do publicity. His public stunts will always be remembered. Magicians and stunt artists have been inspired by his willingness to go all out and perform with greatness. we also saw kids who had never even heard of jesus til i spoke. thats right, they had never even heard of jesus til i spoke. this country is different than it once was. we are a post christian nation we had a big party sunday night here at our house. we had 35 people show up for food fun and a freaky show.
we had our barn set up for the show. the atmosphere was perfect for a spooky presentation. i did a 30 minute show for the group after the finished their bowl of gumbo and/or chili. the show had some shocking moments. the show was something that i would never be able to do on stage anywhere. it was so out of character for me because it was real serious and scary. i will leave it at that.
after the show we had mark stuart speak about the hands and feet project in haiti. we then prayed for him and took up some money for his orphanage. lindsey did her new fire eating routine and it was amazing. then we loaded up everyone onto the truck and trailer for a hayride. we took everyone into the woods for a spooky visit at an old slave house. we then ended up at an old bridge where i told a story that had everyone spooked and then... well something scary happened. we concluded with sitting around the big bonfire eating smores and hangin out.
the party wasnt really a halloween party because it wasnt about that. the purpose was to benefit the orphanage in haiti. we didnt have black cats and ghosts that would make it a halloween party. it was just halloweenish
<img width='1' height='1' thought i knew how to start a carya never know what to expect while traveling. the airports are so unpredictable. ya never know when you will really take off or land. finding food that you like is always an adventure. finding directions to the hotel in every city is another challenge to look forward to. once checked in ya never know what the room will be like. the little things are the things that annoy you. trying to figure out how to use the remote control or the shower or finding the light switch in a hotel room every night is more tricky than you ever could imagine sometime. we dont mind the adventure of it all, it keeps life interesting. the trickiest thing always seems to be the rental car. every car has a different method of controlling the mirrors, and the cruise control, the seat positions, and even the radio. the funniest thing is trying to find the gas door. each car manufacturer decided to do it differently just to screw with guys like me. when you buy a car they show you how to use it. when you rent a different car than what you are used to you may not know where the secret button is to make the gas door open up. i have stood there for 20 minutes before trying to find out where they hid the button. sometimes its under the dash, sometimes under the seat, sometimes they disguise it by making it look like a logo. they get a real kick out of this i am sure.
this week was a definite curve ball. watch this

<param for this election to be over with alreadyfirst of all i am so ready for this election to be over. i am tired of hearing about it every time i turn on the tv.. also i am tired of hearing people argue about it.. friends who disagree politically have a hard time being friends during tough elections. i get angry when i see someone promoting a candidate i am against. what is that about me? its like being stung by a bee, you get mad in an instant. i guess i dont like to disagree with people. there are 2 things that are usually off limits in some arenas. religion and politics are considered the 2 most divisive topics on the planet. i can handle it when someone doesnt believe the way i do when it comes to religion. it usually doesnt effect me or my life. when someone doesnt share my political views i feel like it is more personal. i feel like i am more effected by that. i may be crazy but i am being honest. i am no expert when it comes to politics. i try to stay out of it. i want what is best for our country, and whats best for me i guess. i am ready for this thing to be over with. how bout you? what are your thoughts on the election?
<img width='1' fireplaceits getting cold. i usually hate cold weather but i am starting to allow a little cold weather now because i have a great fire place. i am loving my fireplace right now. i love the way it makes the house smell. i love the way it looks to have a fire going and the lights down. there is something magical about a fire. i think that it is awesome to actually have a fire in my living room. i still love the summers but having this fire going makes the cold weather more bearable.
<img width='1' height='1' will be honest, i am not a big fan of politics. i realize they are a necessity in some ways but i do get tired of it. i get tired of hearing so much talk about it. the media has so much to say about nothing. i feel like i am constantly being lied to. i dont know who is right or wrong. i dont feel educated enough to make much of a decision. i could read about things in the media but who knows if its true. i could read the crazy emails that are forwarded to me but they are not reliable either. i could watch the debates but i dont feel like i get much truth there either. i listen to my educated friends and they are polar opposite. some hate obama and some dont vote republican. my aproach to politics is i stay independent. i just try to find what makes the most sense. i dont want bigger government, i do know that. i dont think i trust the government for anything. have you ever been to the dmv? bottom line, i try to stay away from politics because i find it very divisive so, my policy is to not get involved with politics. i may sound like a hypocrite now so forgive me if i do but here is a funny perspective that i heard today.

today i heard a very interesting perspective from penn gillette. if you know penn(from penn and teller) you know that he has a big mouth. i dont agree with everything he says obviously but i can still listen to him. he stretches me as a thinker and as a believer. penn is a very smart guy and a very outspoken atheist. anyway, i was watching his video blog on youtube today and he shared his opinion. penn said something like this.

if you are into bigger government because you think they are good at it then listen to this. if you honestly believe the government can do more for the poor or help your community than the local charities or churches then here is what you should do. when it is time to pay taxes, pay extra. give the government more money than they ask. if you want a bigger government then give them money and let them save the world. just write a check for an extra $500 and give it to them. i dont think there is a law against it. now if i believe in a charity then i give them extra money. so why wouldnt you do the same if you believe the government is better than the charities or local programs that are working in the community. --penn

ok its me again. i actually agree with what he is saying. when it comes to education or health care or the poverty in my community, i would rather have more control. i want to put money into things that i think will be best.

now the disclaimer. i didnt post penns video because its penn. he is very offensive. and most of you reading this wouldnt like his language. so if you wanna hear it google it for yourself.

so that is my politics. like i said, i dont really like to get involved in politics but since that is all thats being talked about right now i thought i would throw in my two cents.

hope you enjoyed my longest post ever
<img width='1' height='1'
