I also get nostalgic (for New Mexico) when we burn our incense. "Little blue crows" -- I like that description of those pinyon jays. Julie, I love your photos, but especially the one of the birds at the feeder with the orange background. How true the Land of Enchantment is "colorific." Again, a great choice of descriptive words.
