I miss the days of the little boy non-sequitirs...I've got to write ours down! We were having a discussion one day about the word man -made. My husband explained very patiently that it is used to describe things that are made by humans and not by natural forces. He said, "Like a tree. Is a tree man-made?" My stepson Max (probably in 2nd grade at the time) said very seriously after a confused pause, "What's a tree man?" :)Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11159011801441243948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19608656.post-83822922017678136352007-09-06T19:27:00.000-05:002007-09-06T19:27:00.000-05:00Heck ya we're cute.*Angelic Giggle*Heck ya we're cute.

*Angelic Giggle*Phoebe [And Liam, in a sense]noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19608656.post-81448853678483306512007-09-05T19:56:00.000-05:002007-09-05T19:56:00.000-05:00Great first day of school pictures and stories. How do you ever stop kissing those sweet faces and let them out the door?

I was often told that I must have been born in a barn, but never had stomach wolves. I'm going to remember that one. Thank goodness.
My daughter's non sequitur was a retort to me as I complained about potholes in the road--she was 4 at the time, and piped up "Only chipmunks have holes." Huh? The first weeks of school are so exciting and so worrisome and challenging for kids. Phoebe and Liam have the best support system on earth: YOU and BILL and CHET.

Those photos are priceless. I've been watching them grow for almost a year.
