Every detail sharp in the sun, so beautiful, and me just standing with my mouth open watching, watching, camera with long lens on it hanging uselessly around my neck. I understand completely why there is still no ivory-billed woodpecker photo. When push comes to shove I just stand there gaping. So I stuck my pinky finger in the puddle he left and it was still hot from his body, and I felt a little closer to him. By now you all are used to my photos of poo. Sometimes that's all you get.
