Perhaps you have reached a point in your life where you realize that your art, while tremendously important to you, is a touch less important than enjoying dear friends.

Hopefully you will always have your work but we never know about friends and family.

As we all know, people can slip away while we are busy with the every day routine of life.

We miss loved ones when they are gone when we should be enjoying them while they are still here.

You take the best pics of the backs of your kids - say a lot without really showing anything.

I'd guess that for a creative- artsy-type like yourself who works alone that the time with compatriots is very important - I'd bet that the feedback on your work that you get from them - people who know how to work the magic you do with pencil and paint and brush - is really valuable.

The rest of us are just dazzled by it!
