Since mercury in vaccines has been tied to autism, is it possible that increased Vitamin D is removing the mercury thereby aiding the recovery?Pam D.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19598651.post-75867711902164602552008-11-05T19:26:00.000-08:002008-11-05T19:26:00.000-08:00I would suggest being very cautious with VD3 suppl...I would suggest being very cautious with VD3 supplementation. I took it for several months myself, 400 IU daily and initially I felt better. Then I started to develop symptoms of toxicity. I became irritable, constipated, started losing my hair and developed a skin lesion on my face. After stopping supplementation, all those problems went away, with the exception of the skin lesion. Thankfully, it is almost gone. I moved from Alaska to California last year and now get my VD by sitting/walking in the sun every day. I'm replying to this because 7 years ago I had a limbic system illness that left me with many autistic symptoms. I am a speech-language pathologist and have worked with many people with autism. Two weeks ago I saw the <BR/>36th doctor in 7 years(director of women's clinic at UCLA) seeking a diagnosis and prognosis and told him my story. He was the first to diagnose my limbic disorder (one of the areas of the brain involved in autism) and prescribed clonazepam and cyprohepridine. Overnight my insomnia, digestive problems, anxiety, attention deficits, pain, and agitation disappeared. After trying every nutritional supplement, herb and alternative treatment, two old and relatively safe medications have stopped my symptoms cold. I continue to take fish oil, B complex, C, multimineral, and occasional multivitamin (I get irritable, etc. from the A and D). I have been a medication snob, but these two medications are worth a try. I feel like I can finally get my life back. Healing the brain is hard work.Tried Everythinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12367182538805373082noreply@blogger.com
