If your test was looking at Total Testosterone and not Free Testosterone then this may be the reason you were not getting much symptom relief. Free Testosterone is what will make you feel better!!! Most of Total T is bound to SBGH and can not be used. Therefore, it is more important to get a Free T and Bio-available T for assessment. The greater the DHEA dose, the greater my testosterone level (measured by saliva test). However, I found no advantage in having the testosterone level of a much younger man.
