Here's what we're ...You're setting a great example. Here's what we're doing:
We installed an inexpensive solar cover over our pool, which saves a lot of water from evaporation and extends the time we can swim in the pool.
In summertime, we use electric fans at night instead of the AC. When we're at work, we set the AC to 82 degrees. This saves us about $200 per month in summer electric bills.
In wintertime, we shut off the heater before going to bed and just use lots of blankets! savings: $100/mo in gas bills.
We use cold water in our laundry, except for whites.
This summer, we will line dry our laundry.
Our vehicles are not very fuel efficient though (13 mpg for the SUV and 18 mpg for the cars) so we have to do something about that!
We recycle aluminum cans, plastic bottles and newspapers.
We reuse plastic bags.
Hope this helps!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19558528.post-38326034351963102732007-04-22T00:51:00.000-07:002007-04-22T00:51:00.000-07:00Great Job Paolo... amazing what little changes can...Great Job Paolo... amazing what little changes can make a big difference in the world...Kevinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13941816911723376337noreply@blogger.com
