Okay, so we sing off-key. We don't have a gazillion programs during the week, and our sanctuary is definitely not high-tech. So why do people come to worship with us? 2007 Gulf Coast Mission Trips

The Christian Church in Northern California-Nevada is very excited to announce that two weeks have now been reserved for Northern California-Nevada Disciples to head to the Gulf Coast once again to work, worship, and share faith with our brothers and sisters.

Week #1... FCC Beaumont/Port Arthur, TX March 25-31

Week #2... Disciples of Grace CC in Covington/Slidell- April 1-7 (Holy Week)

Our goal is to keep the cost around $650 for food, travel, lodging, etc.
We have reserved 20 places for each week. Should we need more, we will go back and try to add to our two weeks or add a third week. If you are interested, contact Ben Bohren at the regional office (925-556-9900)

Annual Meeting

The 2007 Annual Meeting of the Christian Church in Northern California-Nevada will take place April 27-29 at beautiful Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove. Registration is now underway!

Here are some pictures from last year's annual meeting; of the one dozen Fairview Community folks in attendance, several were featured in leadership roles at Annual Meeting. Pastor Danny led singing before Saturday evening's worship, and also participated in a tableau during Sunday morning's worship; Ginger and Allison, members of the Regional Youth Council, helped lead youth events for the weekend. Allison also played her flute and spoke during worship. Johnathon helped serve communion on Sunday morning. Stephen participated in a liturgical dance during worship. Carol & Pastor Danny represented Fairview Community at the business sessions.

Live B.I.G. is our new program for children. Every Sunday after the children's moment, the children move to another room for all the fun & learning. Bring your children this Sunday!

Christmas Offering

Our special Christmas offering will take place December 17 and 24. This offering supports the work of our regional church, which provides support for congregational ministry through summer camp, transformation events, new church starts, Miracle Day, clergy support, and so much more.

Vacation Bible School is June 12-16. To register, call 656-2381 or show up early on the first day. Times are 9:00-12:30.
A Fiesta Picnic will take place after worship on June 18. Please bring food to share. After lunch, there will be a pinata.
Pastor Danny will be at the Summer Collegium in Virginia June 20-July 5. If you have an urgent need for prayer, please contact one of our church elders.

NorCal AIDS Challenge

The NorCalAIDSChallenge made its way through south Sutter County on May 18. Fairview Community Christian Church served as rest stop #2 on the 4-day, 325-mile ride. The 40 riders on this years Challenge raised over $70,000 for AIDS research.

Sharon E.
