2006年8月19日/20日の両日、東京表参道で「スーパーよさこい2006」が開催されていた。
The BIG Dancing festival "Super YOSAKOI in 2006" took place in Tokyo on 19th/20th of Aug.

「よさこい祭」の本場は、高知。この祭は、いまや日本を代表とする祭のひとつになったが、
もともとは昔からあったわけではなく、1954年に高知の商工会議所が主催して行われた。
まだ50年ちょっとしか歴史のない祭。
The origin of this festival is Kochi prefectuer in Shikoku island.
Now this is one of the largst festival in Japan, but this is not traditional festival.
In 1954, the chamber of commerce in Kochi promoted "YOSAKOI" dancing festival.

片や、同じ四国島内で開催される徳島の阿波踊りは、400年の歴史を持ち、日本の三大祭のひとつ。
「よさこい」は後発の祭であり、いわば現代版の盆踊り。
but then there is "AWA" festival in Tokushima, on the same island.
"AWA" festival has taken place since 1600's and is in the third largest traditional festival in Japan.
"YOSAKOI" is the modern festival.

そのPOPさや、自由さ、競技性などが受けて、今となっては全国各地にその影響の波は広がり、
徳島の阿波踊りに負けない祭となり、日本の祭10撰にも選ばれている。
The rule of "YOSAKOI" dance is very flexible.
The dance is POP and has competitiveness.The "YOSAKOI" style dance national-widely spread.
"YOSAKOI" dancing festival is elected as one of the 10th largest festival in Japan.

その「よさこい」が東京でも開催される。
本場の「よさこい祭」での受賞チームも参加し、全91チームが、各自の「よさこい」を、独自の音楽と衣装で競い合う。

初めて「よさこい」を見たが、その美しさ、そのgroove感に、背筋がぞぞっとした。
特に、本場高知のチームの完成度の高さには、驚かされた。
This was the my first experience of "YOSAKOI".
I was very excited. Especially th dance of team in Kochi is perfect.

まず、今年の「よさこい祭」と今回の「スーパーよさこい2006」で大賞を受賞した
「十人十彩」（じゅうにんといろ）

The "Junin-Toiro" win the original "YOSAKOI" festival in 2006 and this "Super YOSAKOI in 2006" .

高知でも、有名なチームであり、名前だけは聞いたことがあった。
赤（女性）と青（男性）が、視覚的もきれい。ほかのチームとは、全てが違った。
楽曲、踊り、衣装、踊り子の質、全てが完成されており、プロのダンサー集団かと思ったほど。
This team is the most famous team in Kochi.
The visual was so nice. red is lady, blue is man.
Everthing was defferent from that of other team.
BGM, Dance, Costume... everything was perfect like a pro-dancer team.

おそらく、個人個人はプロでダンサーをやっている人だちもいるのかもしれない。
しかし、こんなに多くのプロダンサーが高知にいるとも思えず。。。
よっぽど厳しい練習をしてるんだなって感じる。
Some member may be professional, but this team is not professional.
I seemed they trained hard after work everyday.

一日中踊り続けているにも関らず、ずっと笑顔で楽しそうなことに、
少し嫉妬を覚えたり・・・一緒におどりたいなぁなんて思っちゃいました。
Though they were dancing all day long, they smile happilly everytime.
I was jealousy to them and would like to join them.

次は、一番好きになってしまったチーム。
大会では、準グランプリになってしまいましたが、昨年本大会を制した
「ほにや」
Next, the team "HONIYA" won the pre-grand prix in this festival.
This team won the original "YOSAKOI" festival in 2005.
I love "HONIYA"

楽曲ももちろん、衣装の色、その色を生かした踊り。
十人十彩のような派手さ、激しさはないが、
The BGM is so GOOD. the color of costume is so NICE.
The dance made the most of the color.
"Junin-Toiro" was passinate. But "HONIYA" was elegant.

『雅』
"MIYABI"

と言う字がぴったり当てはまる、そんな踊りだった。
The dance was suited to the word "MIYABI"

目を離す事もできず、言葉を発することも出来ない。背中にぞぞっと電気が走り、目頭が何故か熱くなった。
予期せぬ感動が全身を駆け巡った。
I could not look the other way and say any word. I was moved.

もっとも卓越していたのは、色の演出。日本人独自の色彩感覚がしっかりと表現されており、完全に目と心を奪われた。
昨今、西洋的な色彩が巷では溢れているが、この「ほにや」のカラーは日本人の目に一番心地よく映る。
「雅」「ワビサビ」など、言葉では表現しにくい日本独特の哲学/感情も感じ取ることが出来た。
The color direction is exellent. They express the Japanese traditionak color sence.
The sence made me moved.
Recently The Europian vivid color is popular in Japanede market.
But The "HONIYA" color felt good for Japanese.
They expressed "WABI" and "SABI", the philosopy and feeling of Japanese.

その完成度からか、「ほにや」ブランドは「よさこい」を超え、アパレル業界へも進出している。
"HONIYA" advance the apparel world.

近年「よさこい」が、与えている経済効果はものすごいものだと思う。
そして影響を与えているのは経済にだけではない、
地方では、この「よさこい」スタイルの踊りが、220存在している。
"YOSAKOI" has important role in economy.
In local areas in Japan, There are 220 dancing festival like "YOSAKOI" style.

各地での町おこし、地方活性化にも大きな影響を与えている。
These festival meke the local town more active.

自由で伝統を無視したと思われがちな祭から、次の日本の伝統的なスタイルが生まれていくのであろう。
そして、日本独自の伝統/文化をさらに発展させることも、この自由さがあってこそなのだろうなとしることも出来た。
The flexibirity "HOSAKOI" has and NON-traditional festival produce the new Japanede culture.

本土程にぎやかではないが、ここでもマスクフェスティバルは行われていた。

here in Murano island, venice, italy was famous for Murano glass.

The Mask Festival was taken place here, but not more exciting than on centre city of Venice.

ここは、東京の、日本の台所、築地。
日本全国から運ばれた、一級品が所狭しと並ぶ。

釧路の鮨屋の大将から聞いた話だが、毎晩夜に釧路の鮮魚を築地に注文するらしい。
一番粋の良く、一番貴重で、一番うまい魚は、全部築地にいってまう。
その方が、魚にいい値段がつくから。

せりが始まる前、漁師たちが命がけの闘いの戦利品を市場に並べる。
せりもまた闘いだ。料理人、仲買人、魚屋たちが、もっとも金を生み出す宝物を
経験と、鼻で嗅ぎ分ける。

せりも終わり、一時の休息が訪れる前に、市場の準備が始まる。
競り勝ったお宝たちならべ、裁き、値段をつける。

皆、鼻が荒い。しかし、その活気は、今の日本では、あまり見ることができない。
パソコンの前で、ディスプレーを眺めながら、マウスをクリックしている現代の商習慣とは大きく違う。

そんな命がけの長い長い戦いも終わり、一時市場が開くと・・・
戦士はみな商人になっていた。さっき「邪魔だ!!」と怒鳴られた人から、笑顔で「いらっしゃい」と言われる。
面白い感覚だった。
血生臭い活気はなくなり、笑顔と売り子の声が、また違う活気を生み出している。

この2面性。おそらく、江戸の頃から、全く変わらず、今日まで続いているのだろう。
皆が目を覚まし、動き始める頃、市場の奥は、次の闘いの為、しんっと静まり返る。

ロボットアーチスト「KIMURA」。最近の彼の活躍には、目を見張るものがある。
先日、彼の愛犬エッヂを紹介したが、今回は彼のほかの２作品を紹介。

robot artist, "KIMURA". I'm supprised that he is in full activity recently.
I introduced his pet dog "EDGE" on this blog th other day.
today I will introduce other tow works.

上の写真は、「テレビジョン」。
テレビジョン君は、KIMURAの作品を広告・宣伝する為に誕生した。
彼は彼自身で動き回ることができる。
above is "TELEVISION".
this was created to advertise and show KIMURA's works.
It is able to walk by itself.

彼の名は、「モタ」。「エッジ」の兄弟。
エッヂは室外犬。モタは、室内犬。
動力は、モーター。部屋の中を自在に動き回る。

above is "MOTA", is brohter of "EDGE".
EDGE is outdoor pet, but MOTA is indoor pet.

福島県いわき市の古着屋「FUNKTIQUE」と就活女優「原田かな」とG.C.の共同制作による作品。
「FUNKTIQUE」のオーナーが直接アメリカから買い付けた古着が就活女優「原田かな」を彩る。

these works are produced by collaboration with Used Clothes Shop "FUNKTIQUE" located in Iwaki, Fukushima and " Shukatsu-Actress" a.k.a. Kana Harada and Greg Cameron Crew.
"FANKTIQUE" owner buys the clothes from U.S.A. directly.
these clothes make her UP!!

各々の個性がぶつかり合い、そして、融合していく。
each styles conflict each other, then fusion togather.

そこには古いながら新しいファッションと洋服がその個性を引き立ててくれる大切なツール/表現手段であることがはっきりと示されていると思う。
ここでは、「FUNKTIQUE」が発信する新しいファッションと就活女優「原田かな」の変幻自在な魅力を紹介させて頂きたい。

今朝、パリに留学中の彼から手紙が届いた。
筆不精な彼からの手紙、昨日の電話でも何も言っていなかった。

昔、桜色の染料をとる場合、
桜の花からではなく、桜の木の幹から、その色を抽出していた。

桜の木の幹を、削って煮立てると、とても鮮やかな桜色が取れる。

桜の花びらを染めるために、木の幹は一生懸命、そのピンク色を作って、
枝の先の蕾まで運んでいるから。

はやく春よ、こい。

we made the color like the flower of cherry from not petal, but trunk.

we make the vivid pink like cherry to boil the chips shaved off from trunk of cherry.

cherry trunk makes the vivid pink and carry the color to the cherry bud through itself
to tint th petal with pink.

cherry, cherry, i love cherry.

i hope the spring come earlier...
