DREAM BASKET DESIGNS: We will be attending the Mountainside Lavender Festival in Scholls and will not be at the Saturday Market this week. However, at the market will be Debra Pearce with her felt products, spinning wheel and the walnuts!! Come meet the grower, see her spinning demonstration and her array of products that have proven very popular. When the market is over come visit us at the lavender festival. It will be on Saturday and Sunday from 9 to 5.

'NUTS ABOUT BERRIES' and 'TRILLIUM FARM': Debra Pearce and Janet Tilp will be at the Sherwood market this Saturday demonstrating spinning and weaving. We will have our Sheep and Pygora fleece for spinning. Some hand painted rovings and rolags and hand knitted and felted items. We will also have our organic walnuts, both whole and cracked. So drop by for a Spin. Try your hand at the drop spindle and perhaps pick up a new hobbie.

TOLLEN FARM: Will be at the market this Saturday with our usual eclectic array of goods. We will also have a neat selection of oil cloth available to purchase by the yard. Oil cloth is the perfect thing to spread on your outdoor table for summer time fun, be it eating or crafting. Good sized starts of Clumping bamboo will be our feature plant of the week.

STEELE PLANTS: Will be bringing a variety of colored sunflower plants. Tomato plants and eggplants are almost all gone, please come and see what we have left.

HAND MADE CERAMICS: Hand thrown pottery creatively designed through the art of wood fire, gas fire, and raku. The Pottery is finally back! Please come by and check out new pieces, fresh out of the kiln this week! With new glazes, new clay, and a bit of a new style, it'll be worth the stop. There are several bowls and
planters too choose from. Those traditional ornament leaves are also back so come by and grab one before they're gone! See you all Saturday!

TOLLEN FARM: Will return to the market this Saturday with some new metal garden stakes, zinnias, plants and paintings. You will always find an eclectic array of items in our booth and "zillions" more at the farm. Come meet the donkeys and stroll around the garden and through the shop. You're sure to find a few things you can't live without! See you one place or the other this weekend.

Spinning Demonstration this Saturday - right at the far end of the market - slot 40

I just wanted to let everyone know that Janet Tilp and I will have a booth with sheep and Pygora Goat fibers for felting and spinning. We have some knitted items made from the hand dyed, hand spun fibers. Some hand painted rovings will be available along with hand felted soaps.

We have some very reasonably priced drop spindles that children have an easy time making their own wool with. So come check out your talents and see if you can start a new hobby this Saturday.

The Sherwood Saturday Market is opening Saturday, May 3rd!

The market will open bright and early at 9:00 am and be open until 1:00 pm.

The Sherwood Saturday Market is oriented toward fresh local produce, herbs, plants, flowers, food, musicians and quality handcrafted merchandise.

Vendors and musicians change weekly so there is always something new to discover. Vendors' offerings also change seasonally, so remember to check back often for new produce and crafts!

There is so much to discover at the market. Vendors have offered fresh local produce like walnuts, filberts, salad greens, cherries, tomato plants, fresh berries, and more. Garden goodies like bird feeders, unique plants, peonies and topiary. Quality handcrafted soap, jewelry, ceramics, cards, toys and original art. Yummy food like kettle corn, doughnuts, cookies and fresh squeezed juices. We are also proud to have a Master Gardener who can answer all your gardening questions.

Sherwood Market is family friendly so bring your children, grab a friend, even bring the family dog and come see what the Sherwood Market is all about!!

The date of the next vendor meeting for the Sherwood Saturday Market is Saturday, April 12th at 9:00 am. We will be meeting outside the city hill/library complex, rain or shine, on the sidewalk where the market is usually located.

This will be our last vendor meeting before the market opens on May 3rd, so please come if you can. Hope to see everyone there!

The Sherwood Saturday Market is having it's first meeting for market vendors on February 16th, 2008 at 9:00 am. We will be meeting at the Rebekah Lodge #212 located at 22550 SW Washington St. in Sherwood.

We welcome all our wonderful returning vendors, and if you're thinking about selling at the Sherwood market, please come and see what it's all about! We would love to meet you! This will be the first meeting concerning the 2008 market season and you will be able to pick up a vendor application and have all your questions answered.
