For high-definition EL displays (1920 x 1080 for instance) all pixels can be updated at 2 KHz frame rate and 4 MHz maximum sinewave frequency. With this approach, many orthogonal frequencies can be sent down each row and column simultaneously, allowing simultaneous refresh.
