I want to tell you a story....aaron croft said...

I want to tell you a story. About three years ago I injured myself badly skiing in CO. I was a Breck resident and skiing was a way of life. So was the outdoors and activity. Well, I had a problem called Scheuermann's Kyphosis, along with scoliosis. My discs were shot and nerves were pinched. I got on morphine, followed by Oxy, followed by Fentanyl, you get the story. I still hurt. A lot. All the time. Yet, I had been in a Lazy Boy for 2 years, lost my home in CO, lost my girl of 3 years, came back to Omaha, and I was 50 lbs heavier, and INACTIVE. I decided this was NOT working. I started walking and cut my meds. Slowly. I started walking 1/4 mile, you get the picture. Now, I am completely OFF meds, jogging 7 miles daily, and yes, I still hurt. BADLY. But I lost the extra weight, am active, and don't have the side effects of opiates, which included forgetting the move back to Omaha, not remebering how I lost my girl, my home, and 1 semester of classes, along with 3 years of my life. OPIATES ARE BAD!! KNOW THIS! DEAL WITH THE PAIN, IT WILL MAKE YOU STRONGER THAN YOU EVER THOUGHT POSSIBLE. FIGHT ON!!aaron croftnoreply@blogger.com
