Both me and my husband suffer pain. He deals with cancer-surgery/pain, and I deal with pain from 13 years of D.M./Lupus plus Cushings syndrome &amp;fractues caused by the prednisone. <BR/><BR/>Currently, docs are scared to give us what we were used to taking because a clinic here just got shut down for over prescribing. ALSO Oxy ER is no longer avail. due to abuse and HUGE price hike.<BR/><BR/>Coincidentally, I was recently assigned by my INS to a a &quot;case manager&quot; who told me I was Over medicated and HAD to take MUCH less... After being at the same dose for several years, I knew it would not be easy, but I agreed to try. <BR/><BR/>THEN: I SHARE THIS AS A WARNING: I went to the store with my new prescription and the med. in question was simply &quot;drug not covered!&quot; When I called my nurse case mngr., she finally agreed that she didn&#39;t know they had dropped it from the formulary!!! Though she said we should have been notified by mail- we didn&#39;t see anything, and she herself didn&#39;t know- as well as the doctor!<BR/><BR/>So, we were fortunate enough to have some money to BUY IT OUT OF POCKET. But we cannot do that again. Ihad a motor cycle reck alittle over 6 years ago and remain in constant pain from the brain stem all down my back into by butt and back &amp; side of my legs. I have been through MRI&#39;s. The surgeong say there is no ssurgery that will help. I have several ruptured disc and one is inflamed and presses against my spinal fluid sack. I just weened my self off methadone because I was depressed and wanted to die and I slept all the time and never felt like doing anything, no enery. I saw my pain doc today and received eight shots in the lower back and top but, still in pain. He has now put me on opana and I will start it tomorrow praying it works for me. I&#39;m a christian and I&#39;m on a direct prayer line for complaints of pain and pleading for relief without meds. and it has not happened so maybe this is my answer, opana. But, my bigest problem is being hooked on a drug instead of believing that God can heal me. I really struggle with that, but I have come to realize I also have no life struggleing with pain. What you are trying to describe is called "real physical pain". And as sure as God IS real, real pain kills! If your pain is as bad as most of you claim, you would consider...how shall I say... a way out. My belief in THE LORD is my one and only reason to continue opana therapy{by the way, which works well for me}. You may consider these words of advice bold, or perhaps drug induced. Nothing could be furthur from the truth. I am a proud father of beautiful girls, thank the GOOD LORD they look like their mother, and two great grandsons, and I really mean great! And I have a beautiful wife to share all of these gifts of GOD with. We have been together since 1974 and will enter HIS KINGDOM together someday. All in all, of all these great things I have to live for, GOD is my one and only reason,...for being. So I just keep on keepin" on with my opana and HIM. "REAL PHYSICAL PAIN." ask your physician. Calif. My questions is did anyone else fell that this holiday was the one where you felt more in pain, then any other? I asked my Pain Dr. he said yes he felt the most painfull this yr then any other,was it the wheather or what? But this season was the most painful I went threw, in all my 30+ yrs of Chronic Pain, which started at 10yrs old,I had a break durning my teen yrs,even though many days I crawled around the house, In my early 20's I saw my first M.D. who said...'LEARN TO LIVE WITH IT'Which I have.
