Hey, I too have a windows 2000 server computer i wanted to install an HP officejet 4315 all in one on. Man it pissed me off when the software HP sent arbitrarily decided i could not do it. Thanks for posting your workaround online, i would never have thought to look in my temp files for such a thing. Working great for me also now, i can print from the local computer and over the network.
