It's tits on toes baby!!! LYLAS is slated to open the 'Laugh your Asheville off' festival at the Diana Wortham stage! This summer, the Laugh Your Asheville Off Comedy Festival returns to downtown Asheville July 17th, 18th & 19th expanding last year's two nights of stand-up into a three-day festival. This year's festival is proudly presenting NBC's Last Comic Standing winner Alonzo Bodden, over a dozen touring comedians, a workshop for aspiring comics, a comedy magic show for kids and three different nights of performances making it the largest stand-up comedy festival in the southeast.
The Festival kicks off on Thursday July 17th with LYLAS, Asheville's first all female sketch comedy troupe. LYLAS will open the stage for an evening of stand up comedy featuring some of the funniest comics on the east coast leading to the headlining act DC's very own refreshingly hysterical Mike Storck.

LYLAS will be performing Saturday, June 21 at 7:30 pm at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium. This will be an amazing conference focusing on women and the strong, powerful beings they are. LYLAS will perform as part of the NC Stage Theatre Marathon!

We will be performing some of our favorite sketches in the 10-11:00 p.m. block of the marathon, but check out the whole schedule of great shows! Follow links below to get your tickets!

North Carolina Stage Company presents an all-day theatre marathon Saturday August 25th, at its theatre in downtown Asheville. This homegrown mini-festival features all local performers, with theatre, dance, sketch comedy, and more. Beginning at 3:00pm, patrons can see a show every hour, on the hour, until 1:00 in the morning. With the statewide Stoneleaf Theatre Festival now on hiatus, NC Stage decided to mount its own mini-festival, presenting twelve companies in one day, all in one venue. NC Stage will also be serving hot dogs and veggie dogs outside the theatre from 5:00- 6:00. In the 6:00pm slot, NC Stage will take over the stage for the Best of NCSC "Alley" Awards. Named after the alley in front of the theatre (now called Stage Lane), these awards will honor the best artists and productions of the past five years.A full schedule of events is available on the web, at http://www.ncstage.org/. LYLAS (an acronym which stands for "Love Ya Like A Sis," commonly scrawled in yearbooks and across the bottom of notes passed between girls), is a collaboration between Jenny Bunn, Beth Keefauver, Emily McClain, Emily Miller and Betsy Puckett. Described as "the Rebelles -- but fatter and clothed" or "Menage -- without the musical talent," LYLAS has an Asheville take on sketch comedy.

LYLAS performances run at 7 and 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday night at 35below beneath Asheville Community Theatre, 35 E. Walnut Street, downtown Asheville.
