Please contain your excitement.Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.comBlogger114125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18715041.post-10242706129990544472008-03-23T20:04:00.002-05:002008-03-23T20:08:20.741-05:00I Never Write HereSo, I realized today when commenting on someone else's blogger blog, that I never write here anymore. I guess I found my new little blogging community too much fun and left you all here in the dust. Maybe because this blog, like MySpace, had too large of an audience that I knew in real life. And that's not fun. There are only so many things I can write about before pissing real life people off. Of giving more talking points in real life than I care to give. Questions about previous blogs are endless at times.

I'll try to maybe come back, once a week or so, and post something entertaining. I'll try to think about it at least.

But for now, just know that I'm not dead. Just busy leading my life at a new blog and in real life.
Come back in a month or so, maybe by then I'll have a drastic exciting update. :)Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18715041.post-686239410367971212007-10-31T23:52:00.000-05:002007-10-31T23:54:59.319-05:00PumpkinsI'm too tired to actually write anything. So... Look what I made!

It's a yarn pumpkin with knitting needles!!! Yay.
That's all. I'm tired.Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18715041.post-87181354058910401492007-10-26T09:01:00.000-05:002007-10-26T09:04:56.155-05:00Las Vegas! We leave in just 30 minutes for the airport.
How excited am I?

So excited.

I have $20 to spend on gambling. I hope to win it all back, with maybe a little more, and then spend my winnings on yarn, haha. My boss laughed at me when I told him yesterday, "We're going to Vegas. I'm going to play $20 on my favorite arcade game, and then I'll win $150 from that. I will then take the $150, and go buy some yarn. I even have my suit case only half packed, to account for said yarn."

He just laughed and walked away. He thinks I've lost it, I'm sure, but I'm pretty confidant.

So, I'm off. Enjoy the weekend, it's 30 degrees warmer in Vegas that STL... :)Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18715041.post-65253342120732163802007-09-17T20:38:00.000-05:002007-09-17T20:46:12.019-05:00Buttony Progress!!!Oh snap (or should I say button?) - the body of the sweater is done!!! It's a bit off because of my super-bust, but I like it and am quite happy. It looks like it will button more to the size where my bust is the biggest and then come back a bit after, but I'm okay with that. I may knit in a little extra to compensate, but I feel pretty happy either way. I think that I should have cast it off a little looser, but I wanted it to look clean and OCD. :)

So, with all that said, take a look:

Here is is on my couch - it looks so tiny!!

Here I am stretching it over to show where it will button...

I think this is my favorite picture of it so far - I think that it will be quite flattering when the buttons are in and the sleeves are done. :)

I think when this is done I will make another, but with contrasting raglan sleeves and adjust better for the bust on the other side.

But regardless - TA DA!Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18715041.post-65236271989597581782007-08-08T19:49:00.000-05:002007-08-08T19:59:13.065-05:00Massive UpdateThis will be mostly pictures because I don't feel like writing. It rained and was humid the first day we were there, but after that it was the most beautiful place I had ever seen.

Michigan kicked ass. This is the beautiful view from out hotel room. I sat there for a few hours a day and just knitted and took it all in. It was a cool 85 degrees all week (not like the 102 degrees it was in STL today). There was a breeze, and it was just like being on the ocean.

The beach and pseudo-ocean.

The bride and groom! Well, sort-of.
I woke up (not by choice) at 8:25 am and couldn't go back to sleep.

So, I did some design-y stuff and then went to my parents' house and sanded a dresser/chest thing that I'm bringing to my apartment and made some strong attempts to paint it, but went through 2 cans of spray paint and ran out. Didn't expect to need that much...

So, then I went and got a hair cut and looked at some yarn but was really dissapointed when I finally gound my yarn to find that it didn't have the feel I was hoping for. Life goes on, I guess.

Then I went and had late lunch with my parents and painted a little more on the dresser. 3 cans down. That's all I could take. It's as painted as it's ever going to get.

After that, I went to my sister's house and we made cupcakes! And that is why I'm writing. Because I took beautiful pictures of them on my beautiful cupcake booth that my dad and I made. And so, here are the pictures:

Here's my favorite one alone, the "pink fortune fondant" cake.

A juicy shot of my three favorites. You can see the bench fabric and then my 1950s teal walls. :)

And then, all three again. I drool just looking. :)

Other than that, Scott is in the US!!! EEP! We talked on the phone today - TWICE! So I got about an hour and a half of his voice today. Oh my. Tuesday is sooooo close I can hardly take it.

I have tomorrow and Monday filled, so work on Tuesday had better be damn busy to make it go by fast.
YAY!Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18715041.post-20799939377905983962007-07-19T21:40:00.000-05:002007-07-19T21:41:26.411-05:00Some things. So, went to the grocery store today to get the staples (milk, bread, diet A&W, sherbet ice cream in raspberry and lime...) and saw something that disturbed me just a little bit:

Makes me wonder what they could have put in here to make them not melt, along with just how good it can be for your system...

Also, Scott's cousin sent me pictures of him and the graduation yarn-erous that I made him. It was very exciting. Here is one of them:

It's very happy.

That's today's update. Oh, and Scott comes home in 5 days! Eep.Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18715041.post-73285711582383014832007-07-15T20:50:00.001-05:002007-07-15T20:50:53.302-05:00Paddle With Your Pooch! So. Jess, Kyla, & I went to the 4th annual Paddle With Your Pooch even in Forest Park today. It was hot. But exciting.
We had a great time, and paddling is a lot harder than it looks. I figured it would be, but wow. Towards the end, we had to switch it up, my legs couldn't take it, so Jessie saved the race! Here's a few pictures and movies:

Here we are getting announced (not sure why they only said my name...) and loading into the boat:

And steadily paddling into the dock, almost there...

Here we are after "landing" at the dock:

Then, Scott's parents went. (We were in the 2nd race, they were in the 3rd.)
Here they are being announced:

And then here they are after getting to the dock:

So, that was all. It was excellent. I am exhausted. Nightnight.Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18715041.post-66490598525487461362007-07-05T18:10:00.000-05:002007-07-05T18:11:43.992-05:00Best Apartment Ever.
Seriously. Air-conditioning AND firework watching? Holy shit.

In other news, Lola & Penelope's (posh pet shop in snazzy Clayton) has pet caricatures this weekend! My little sister and I are *so* going. I cannot wait.

In sad new, Scott leaves for Switzerland tomorrow morning, and I'm going to be very lonely. Anyone got plans for the next 3 1/2 weeks?
Anyways, I don't have time to write this blog, I have to go smother Scott in love for the next 14 hours while I have him.Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18715041.post-48737482132436815062007-06-30T16:54:00.000-05:002007-06-30T16:59:33.325-05:00Accomplishments!!!Okay, so actually this is really a blog about yarn. Sorry to have tricked you.

First, I finished another Grrr washcloth from this edition of knitty. Here are a few pictures:

Here it is on my couch, that's a pillow it's on, so you can tell it's pretty big.

And here's a close-up. Perfect stitches? Oh yes.

And here it is resting on my kitchen sink. Not that I'd ever actually wash dishes with it... It's for a friend of Scott's that just had an adorable baby boy. Who, when we visited last time, I had contemplated stealing, but decided not to. :)

Also, because I'd used most of my cotton yarn on the washcloths, I needed to go to the Hobby Lobby to re-aquire some. It was just my luck - there was a massive yarn clearance - skeins for just 71 cents! So I got a few that I didn't need, and then the cotton yarn was on sale too, so I got about 15 of those, and ended up spending $21 on 19 skeins. Not bad at all.

So, two wins for the day, and Scott comes home tomorrow! I can't wait.
For now - off to make a few more washcloths. :)Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18715041.post-8169806784406550342007-06-14T22:27:00.001-05:002007-06-14T22:28:22.177-05:00Hey! Let's play Frogger, Make Arsen, and paint the town Red!What? You haven't read the news stories in St. Louis this week?
Let's see... Two people have decided to try and cross our highways by foot - in rush hour traffic of course. Then an angry union member decided it was a good idea to arsen a newly built apartment building a few blocks from work down because half the work was non-union. (As a result, they also burnt down my awesome Arby's that I never actually ate at, but it had a really great old-school sign and was entirely vintage - huge disappointment). Then today, a semi painted the highway with red, reflective paint over a three mile stretch, only stopping because the paint appears to have run out. He's still at large, but I'd like to thank him. I think it adds a needed sense of humor to the highways.

In other news, it appears that they are going to let me keep my foot. Scott took me to the ER last night (mainly because my foot had turned black and blue, was swollen to 2.5 times it's size, and -oh yeah- I couldn't feel it anymore). They didn't believe me that it was just a sunburn. They were like, "We're going to take you to radiology..." I kept telling them it was just a sunburn, and everyone always asked, "Yeah, but did you hit it with anything?" "Uh... No."
Broken bones don't heal sunburns, and even if they did, no thanks.
So, I was basically told to keep off it and not walk if I don't absolutely have to. I still can't really feel it because the swelling is compressing my nerves (sounds safe, huh?) but apparently I'll get over it.

And now, for the most important new of all:
Everyone MUST watch 20/20 on ABC tomorrow night at 9pm central time!!! They're doing an episode about "making your own luck" and my Scott is one of the stars! They came to STL and followed him around for a few days and it was great. I may even be on there too! So, everyone, be sure to set your TIVO/MOXI/VCR or sit your bum down and watch my wonderful man on TV! Then, be sure to go to his MySpace page and say how great he did, and then leave me comments of jealousy about how absolutely fantastic my man is. :)

I'm so excited, I really may pee. I'm so excited.
...and also so damn tired and ready for a break.

I've been way more than out-of-touch lately. Some of it's on purpose, some because I'm just so busy. School is out and I'm picking up what I was spending at school at work and then some. My job still kicks ass. There's a girl that needs to be fired really, really badly. I hope for it to be done soon because she's an idiot and I'd like to kick her in the face. Several times.

Scott's gone this weekend, but he gets home tomorrow and then it's just TWO days until the Mexican vacation. Seven full days of vacation. Luxury and no cell phones and a change of scenery.

Have I mentioned I'm excited? Because I am.

Ali & I knitted today. Excellent. I'm starting my cardigan tonight. I officially finished Scott's sweater this afternoon. By finished, I mean I had it done and just had to cast off the hood and sew it to the body. I feel a little lame that it took 15 minutes and I'd been putting it off for like, 2 months. Whatever, I logged at least 65 hours in that sweater, I can do it when I want. :) It's cold out this week anyways.

Other than that, I'm too tired to blog. I thought I wanted to, but it's not true.
I just want to sleep.

Nightnight.Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18715041.post-45753123919920797602007-05-22T19:48:00.000-05:002007-05-22T20:26:33.186-05:00An Update Seems To Be RequiredLet's see... I've been told by a few that I should write more. People are checking on me to ensure that I'm still alive and well.
What's new? Well, I finally got my passport! It arrived last Friday, and now I can finally relax and plan my exciting vacation! We leave in just 15 days. I seriously cannot wait. It's going to be so much fun. I have researched the flight rules for knitting needles, and it appears that I can knit on the plane if I bring the correct kind of needles. I think I can manage that. :) I will begin my cardigan, and it will be stellar.
Went to watch Scott play volleyball with his buddies last night, and they were terrible. But, I mean, in a good way. Scott had more than a few good saves, but I was a little distracting, I think. The bugs distracted me. They are everywhere, just waiting to eat away at my skin (I'm a dead giveaway - I glow in the dark!). I itch just thinking about it.
New subject.
If I'm good, I get to go to Vegas this fall. Since I was already good, I get to go to Memphis in August. Michigan before that. Mexico in just two weeks. I never got to go anywhere when I was growing up. And now, I'm going everywhere. It's pretty exciting. My passport has a picture of the moon in it. I guess it's valid there too, pretty exciting.
In other news, school is finally done. I have two years left now, even though I only need 21 credit hours. My "senior seminar" needs to be taken with nothing else, so I'll have two semesters with just three credit hours. Kind of sucks because it seems like a waste of time and money, when I could so easily finish 21 credits in a year. So easily. Stupid UMSL. Yarg.
Let's think of other things to cover.
Work is still excellent. I put in 58 hours last week, because Scott was out of town Tuesday - Friday. He left again this morning, to come back Friday, so I think I'll put in more hours tomorrow and Thursday too. I just need enough to have my 40 and pay my bills. Exhausting, but a kajillion times better than any other job I've ever had.
La la la.
I'm losing it.
I think this is the end. I'm off to lay on the couch, eat M&Ms, and watch an endless stream of Law & Order.
Love.Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18715041.post-11764968152047595382007-05-06T20:42:00.001-05:002007-05-06T20:42:33.479-05:00Woah. Scott was out of town -again *pouts* - and so I was left to my own devices. Let's take a look at what I accomplished:

✓Woke up at 9am
✓Worked for 2.5 hours
✓Went to the parent's house
✓Got my eyebrows waxed
✓Fixed my car doors
✓Finished the cushions for my breakfast booth (pictures soon!)
✓Installed the new bumper
✓Changed my oil

Okay, well, actually, I did all but the last two. What kept me from those? You guessed it. I set up the Wii at my parent's before dinner, and yeah. Me, my mom & my dad played it for almost SIX hours. I think I'm gonna be sore in the morning.

So, I'm going back over tomorrow to finish my two errands and hopefully get some laundry done at Scott's and work on my website for a little bit too. He gets home at 9 tomorrow, because airplanes are stupid and so are airlines and everything that deals with planes. I love his job because he loves his job, but I miss him sometimes. It'll get better later on, I just hate not having him on the weekends...

In other news, Americone Dream makes me very happy still. I should be asleep right now, but I just had to have some.

On a not-so-light note, yet one that I need to address:
An acquaintance in my art history class was murdered last weekend by a drunk driver. She was only 21 and was currently serving as the designated driver for three friends. She was the only one that died. That is hard to grasp. "Designated driver killed by drunk driver" - that's really freaking lame. It's for this reason that I hate people.

On that same note, it's been made official that the St. Louis Cardinals player, Josh Hancock, was driving drunk when he drove into a tow truck on the side of the road that was *flashing it's lights WITH the tow truck driver HONKING to warn the driver (Hancock)*. According to one of the articles, "The pitcher was drunk and talking on his cell phone at the time of his accident Sunday, and marijuana was found in the sport utility vehicle he was driving." They lowered the flags to half-staff in St. louis for this so-called hero, and that pisses me off something fierce. If you are in a position of influence, ESPECIALLY one of influence over children, you should know better. Actually, if you are *anyone* you should know better. They say he died almost instantly after impact. I realize that this is going to sound terrible, but that's really too bad. Something about suffering would make it better. Why were we worried about his comfort? Does he not deserve this? I believe he does. Just like everyone else that makes this decision, the only thing that could make me wish worse would be if he'd hurt someone else. Something I'd like to petition for?
You get caught drunk driving, you get arrested and tried for attempted manslaughter. Your accuser, who you have a right to face in court? The citizens of America.

I think that would make people think twice.Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18715041.post-291939767406063382007-05-02T22:56:00.000-05:002007-05-02T23:08:10.262-05:00What Can YOU Do In 13 Weeks?I'm writing out of being a little more than pissed off tonight.
It has been THIRTEEN WEEKS since I applied for my passport. It has been TWELVE WEEKS and FIVE DAYS since the post office cashed my check for processing. It has been ELEVEN WEEKS and SIX DAYS since the Gov't Travel Agency cashed my check for processing fees. I have IN WRITING that the passport processing for new passports was taking 5-6 weeks when I submitted my passport.

I leave for Mexico is just FOUR WEEKS. When I applied, I could have had my passport there and back THREE TIMES. So, why bother to pay more to expedite it than what the passport itself costs?

I have tried to call the Gov't number several times in the past few days. Tonight, I actually got through to hold without an automated disconnect after a "reassuring voice" told me not to worry and that they were trying to make sure no one misses a trip. *Trying* to make sure? I was more than early on the application. So, I'm told to wait for a representative. Then, I get another set of messages with options. Only, there's one small issue... They're in SPANISH. Now, I took 6 years of Spanish in school. I'm a pretty good Spanish listener too. And, let me tell you, I tried. But they were speaking too fast. So, maybe I pressed the Spanish option by accident. 2nd attempt: same damn thing. I wasn't selecting Spanish, they were giving it to me to make me go away. I'm not standing for it.

I did a lot of research online about options to try and figure out where my passport may be and find if I'll ever get it. Apparently, people have been contacting their local congressman. And, since I'm of voting age, and everyone should want my young and lively vote, I made a list. I'm calling everyone I can tomorrow to try and see where the hell this passport could possibly be.

So, my question to the worldly readers out there is this: Got any suggestions?Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18715041.post-32447541667313320162007-04-16T22:31:00.000-05:002007-04-16T22:56:15.043-05:00I Have A DreamToday was nearly the worst day in the history of all time.
I wake up on time, shower, eat breakfast and head to work.
I look down at my gauges two lights away from home and see that my temperature gauge is reading "H," as in "I'm going to boil over." Get going again and it drops back down to normal. Repeat this at every light. (Keep in mind I only live 2 miles from work, so it really wasn't that many lights.) However, get to work, let it cool off thinking it was a fluke because the weather here has been crazy and it was fluctuating a lot on my 2 mile drive.
Leave work a bit early to get on campus early to study for my test I had tonight. Car does it again, but this time it's all furious about it. Pull over at the closest exit. Leaking coolant... FUN. After trying to get the damn cap off for about 15 minutes a very nice gas station employee helped me. With a pair of pliers. Which made me feel like not such a weakling.
Another employee came over to look and was like, "Looks like you have a hole in your radiator..." (What he was seeing was the overflow of my shoddy pouring job into the coolant tank). I think I really just have a loose hose, but I'll get it looked at tomorrow. Anyways, the radiator comment got me thinking. If that comment was made 6-8 months ago, I'd have wished it was a hole. "Gee, if there's a hole in there I might as well get that after-market front mount radiator setup that would get me one step closer to that turbo and inter-cooler..." Haha. If it really was busted now, I'd still prolly go after-market, but that's not the point. I just thought it was funny that the first thing I thought of is how now that I'm "grown-up" it's not fun to buy unexpected after-market parts, even if they are shiny and neat-o. It kind of sucks.
However, back to the story:
Fill coolant, get to school *barely* on time. Not that it would have mattered if I was late, because I failed my make-up test hard core. Then I took the test for this section with the rest of the class. Pretty sure I didn't do so hot on that one either.
So, by then I'm feeling pretty down, only to realize that the teacher is actually lecturing after the damn test. He made us stay. What the hell. That is *not* how I roll. Lame.
So, I sit through the lecture and make a list of things I need from the grocery, since he's covering the laws on censorship, and I have a criminology class that covered it last week and he's citing facts wrong and not actually knowing the outcomes of important cases, which was irritating to say the least.
So... On the way home my car seems to be not nearly as hot as it was earlier. Still warmer than usual, but under the halfway, which is good. So, I detour to the Schnucks on Ladue and 170. Get a cart and wander a bit through the pastries, saying I don't need them. Get my bread, sandwich bags, Crystal Light, and POM Wonderful juice. Walk through the ice cream isle, just, you know, casually, and there it was: The Americone Dream.
The very last Americone Dream.
And it was mine. All mine.

My night was instantly revived, making the whole day worth while.
And so, my dears, here I am, living the Americone Dream:

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_Z0DEq6AFzJg/RiREjBP9W0I/AAAAAAAAAEg/KH0I2AdqtUc/s320/DSC_0004.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5054240050238020418" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_Z0DEq6AFzJg/RiRFEhP9W1I/AAAAAAAAAEo/xB38k0TsCo8/s320/DSC_0003.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5054240625763638098" />

And so, for those of you still on the search: don't lose faith - it's out there. And when you finally get it, it will be so worth the wait.

"And then sometimes it feels okay, just to fall in love with the everyday"Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18715041.post-13641451991419949142007-04-14T22:46:00.000-05:002007-04-14T23:20:24.704-05:00Omigawdasheep!I have just been made aware that there are such wonderful things as lighted knitting needles. Oh yes.
LIGHTED KNITTING NEEDLES.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_Z0DEq6AFzJg/RiGg-hP9WzI/AAAAAAAAAEY/mwuAkz_leL8/s320/knitlite2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5053497252824046386" />
Holy oreo milkshake, Batman.
Does anyone other than me *realize* what this means???
Think of the places I can now knit. If you can't, I have made the following list for you:
*Movie theaters
*Car rides at night time (road trips?)
*Closets
*In bed! Without disturbing you-know-who!
*Dark alleyways
*Concerts
*Under the bed
*When the power goes out at night
*Cities that have darkness for days at a time (Antarctica?)
*Under the covers
*In a top secret tent
...and a number of other excellently dark places that now have a whole new appeal to me.

Absolutely amazing.

Today had quite that air of accomplishment.
I woke up early. I died my hair pretty colors.
Went to Kinkos to visited Linz on her last day and printed my new business cards.
Went to Anna's (Scott's brother's fiance) wedding shower, which was a good time. Got to visit with people I have only met a few times, which was cool. Also got to chat with Scott's aunt Vicki, who is my "twin"'s mom. Carrie comes home from China next month. We're totally excited. I can't wait!
Went to work for 4 hours, got vinyl cut and a little more done for the St. Louis Muny tees. Their art is soooo bad. It needs to be done Monday, and it's making my head bleed something fierce. Cleaning up old ass 25dpi art isn't my definition of fun.
Came home, played online a bit, then painted my bedroom (finally). Everything is done except the trip on the ceiling/tops of the walls. It's hard work to paint a room with 9ft ceilings all by yourself when you've been running all day and happen to be 5'2" tall. I'll finish it in the morning. I needed a corndog and some tasty trail mix anyways.

And that gets me to here. Sitting on the couch, watching A&E "American Justice" and eating trail mix.
Scott comes home tomorrow. I am more excited about that than the light up knitting needles.
I miss my Scott.Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18715041.post-80693173010832593062007-04-13T21:22:00.000-05:002007-04-13T21:29:54.401-05:00Easter Eve, A Week LateMy boyfriend is a genius.

Friday he came up to my work for a tour and then took me out to lunch at crazy bowl delicious. While eating a rice crispie treat, we decided it would be fun to make some for Easter at my sister's house.

Went to the grocery Friday night, and spent $30 on crispie ingredients (read: sugar).

Woke up Saturday, messed around, went to the mall, had lunch with his folks, and then...

The fun began. The above photo makes me drool.

These weren't just any crispie treats, these were Neapolitan crispies with all the fixins. There were cocoa crispies, regular crispies, and my favorite, fruity pebbles.

One more reason he's perfect and all mine.

When we were done, we had created the most amazing thing ever:

And it was more delicious than any food I've had in a very long time.
Our love makes beautiful things. :)

In other news, Easter went well and was barrels of fun. There was a lot of sugar to be had, which is just the way I like it. I'll have pictures of Easter and other stuff in the next few days. But, for now, I hear a spicy chicken sandwich calling my name from the cafeteria... And, *shameless plug*, Scott's new book (Make A Name For Yourself) is out!!! YAY FOR MY ACCOMPLISHED MAN!Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18715041.post-39251253281560035582007-04-04T22:27:00.000-05:002007-04-04T22:29:37.500-05:00My TV Speaks Spanish To MeI could change it, I guess, but it's like having some extra culture added to my day. Everyone loves a little culture.

Today, on the way home from school, the Jack in the Box sign was begging me to come closer. I told it no, and it was all, "But we've had so many good times together, and I'm so delicious and now that Wendy's is gone, I'm all you have..." And I said, "Listen, JitB, we did have some good times, but that statement you made back there had really awful punctuation. I also seem to remember that time on my 21st birthday eve when you sounded good and I got really, really sick." JitB made awful excuses, and I had made my decision to have Raisin Bran Crunch. And, it was wonderful and did not make me sick.

Work has continued to be more excellent than ever. I am so busy all day long and the day flies by in no time. I'm dedicating the next few days to a new organization system. I feel like I can turn a lot around there, and we all know I love a good organizational challenge. There will be color coding and happiness all around. It will be great after it gets going, and it shouldn't take long.

Last weekend was the most excellent weekend ever. So many really great things happened. As a highlight, I was introduced by Scott as the "love of his life" which made me want to leap around and giggle. (Though, I may have done this later when no one was looking.) I love him so much. There's no one I'll ever be with ever again. He's all mine.

Weeks have been flying by, I can't believe it's April already. It's just been so cold the past few days. Scott will be able to wear his sweater on Friday though... That will be pretty happy. It looks like it will be 50 degrees on Easter though, which is not so great for me. Kite flying will be soooo cold.

Anyways, time to veg out and read a little more "Infamous Serial Killers."
I sure know how to have a good time.Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18715041.post-24044525944956394202007-03-23T20:27:00.000-05:002007-03-23T20:46:40.405-05:00Word VomitOh man, I've been suffering from some serious build up of thoughts here lately. I've been so. damned. busy.
Let's cover all the things that I've been intending to cover for weeks:

• I quit my job and NJC. Yep, after three months of being bored enough to stab myself in the face, I called it quits. Today was my last day, and they were a little shotty about it. Oh well, that's the end of a bridge I'll never need again.
• Since I quit my job, I obviously had another one lined up. I'm now working for a screen printer just two miles from my new apartment - on the same street! I may get a bike and ride to work. It'd be efficient. Anyways, back to the job: I've been working there half days this week (I started Tuesday) and so far, I've designed 7 shirts that have been approved and printed! I have 7 'published' designs! It's so exciting.
• Today, I decided to go work out after work. There's a fitness center in the three buildings down (owned by the same management company), so I changed, grabbed a book, and headed over. ...Only to find that my swipe card didn't work. Tried the other door... Nothing. Called the landlord, no answer. Damn it. Headed home, and decided its be 'fun' to jog there and then run up the nine flights of stairs to my apartment. I'm still not sure what I was thinking here, but I accomplished that and then decided to drop my book, head down the flights and then back up. I barely, barely made it. Walked the majority of the second flight up. But, I did it. Then, took a warm bath.
• On a list of stupid things that I've done lately, I'd like to unwillingly admit that I fell asleep with knitting needles in my hand last night... And tore the hell out of my gum. It woke me up quick, with my mouth bleeding... Good news is, it wasn't my eye and my gum will probably heal. That's the last time I sit on the floor while knitting.

I felt like there was a lot more to say here, but it seems there might not be half as much as I had thought. Well, glad that's taken care of.Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18715041.post-29091362045404351472007-03-19T18:04:00.000-05:002007-03-19T18:25:37.577-05:00Oh, The Happiness! Here are the pictures of my finished rooms. I still have the bedroom to work on, but I'm not too worried about it today. I'm *exhausted.*

Here is the view that you'd see when you'd walk through my front door. You can't tell there, but the couch by the window is aqua, the other is brown.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_Z0DEq6AFzJg/Rf8ZEwuuIoI/AAAAAAAAABQ/vlMcTwVASrQ/s320/DSC_0107.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5043777677269279362" />
Here's the view from bedroom to living room before it was painted (and during the day, so it's a bit brighter). Like the shelves there in the hallway? They are *excellent* and the only ones in the whole building. :) I'm elite.

The view into my living room from my bed room after paint. Much more my liking.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_Z0DEq6AFzJg/Rf8YgguuInI/AAAAAAAAABI/XsEDWbiDRDM/s320/DSC_0120.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5043777054499021426" />
Here, as promised, is my yarn cabinet. Oh, lovely. The kitchen's still a mess, I'm not quite organized in there yet, so ignore the background mess.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_Z0DEq6AFzJg/Rf8ZiwuuIpI/AAAAAAAAABY/HNSJ-kqUmHM/s320/DSC_0108.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5043778192665354898" />
And, of course, the view from all of my windows. I can see the arch through each one, even from my shower window!!!

Today, I did some fantastic things, like go grocery shopping and buy extensions for the cable and outlets. I also bought a DVD player, but the TV I have doesn't have inputs for anything other than cable.... So, I'll need to get a different TV or die. :) Scott's parents have one that they said I could have, so that looks like a good path for me. I do, however, have the Super Nintendo hooked up, because that uses the cable hookup. So, at least there will be Mario Kart and Donkey Kong tonight.

That's all for now. Off to attempt to lax a bit with Scott.Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18715041.post-30736867768358080462007-03-18T00:13:00.000-05:002007-03-18T00:31:56.312-05:00Homeless No More!Signed my lease last night. I feel like my stellar skills are being wasted running presses, and so, alas, I had a few interviews and have made my choice. I'm pretty damn excited.
The issue, however, is trying not to sound too horrid in my reasons for leaving. Mainly, I've been cut more than eight hours -just this week- and that cannot fly, since I'm signing on my apartment next week. That's a total deal breaker. Also, new place is just 1.7 miles from my new home. Seriously, can you pass that up? I sat in traffic for over 45 minutes today to get the 14ish miles to work. Yeah, when I move I won't deal with the same roads, but they are shutting down the main highway in St. Louis in just a few weeks (yeah, I don't know who's bright idea that was) and so highway 40 is not going to be an ally here, it's the enemy. Plus, it's a dollar more an hour. And I make my own hours, so long as they add up to 40.

I think I'll let new job know on Tuesday. Tomorrow is premature, and I have Monday off since I have a doctor's appointment and cannot be fighting bad traffic and retarded drivers all damned day.

Man, life is looking pretty good right now.
I should sleep though, I just wanted to write it all down.

The big move is next weekend, I hope to write before then, but we all know how it goes.Jackiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00687391151338370591noreply@blogger.com
