The young adults will be organizing a game of baseball.

(Equipment will be provided, but feel free to bring your own glove etc. as well)

Just a reminder that the young adults are hanging out at Crescent Park every other thursday for July, which means July 12th and the 26th!! Come out for a relaxing evening of friends, fun and silly things, like dutch blitz on the grass! and finding injured racoons...??! It's an adventure, so bring friends, bocce ball, soccer balls, balls and gloves - whatever you want!

for the month of June:
we will be alternating volleyball/games nights with evenings at Crescent Park!

June 7 - volleyball and games at Church!
June 14 - Fun at Crescent Drive Park (bring frisbees, soccer balls, water guns - whatever you want!)
June 21 - vball and games at church
June 28 - Fun at the Park again!

*please note that if it is raining on the park days, we will be meeting at church as we would for vball and games nights...

LOVE WINNIPEG!

I just wanted to let you all know that our Love Winnipeg event turned out superbly well!!

We handed out free water and pop in Assiniboine Park and had many people wonder why on earth we were doing this, as well as many who thanked us. the drinks went quickly, and we were able to offer free drinks to nearly everyone in the park, and even across the bridge. we were able to bring smiles to many faces and put a little love in the air :)

Thanks to everyone who showed up to love Winnipeg with us!!

This thursday, May 24th, we're having another volleyball/games night at Church of the Rock, in the gym for all young adults! Come at 7:30, ready to play!

Also, coming up, next thursday, May 31st, the Young Adults of Church of the Rock will be participating in Love Winnipeg, by handing out free pop in Assiniboine Park. Keep your eyes and ears open for details!

alrighty, so the weather has been playing with our minds, and the skating for this sunday at the Forks is up in the air.

at first it seemed that everything would be way too melted to skate - but with today's weather and the forecast for below zero till sunday, it may still work.

meet us under the yak after the pie auction/service on sunday and we'll give you the details!

First:
This Sunday (March 11) we will be going out for lunch at Garbonzo's on Pembina after church, we'll be meeting under the YAK (it's hard to miss). If you can't meet us at church, we have reservations for 12:45 so feel free to come and bring some friends.

Second:
There is no volleyball on the 8th.

Third:
There is volleyball on the 15th!

well, younger adults is no longer an every sunday planned event....
BUT!!
we are now having young adults services once every month!!! how exciting is this?? very. i must say so.

our next service is NOVEMBER 18th (SATURDAY) @ 7:00!!!
we're having a comedy club bash following the service! bring everyone out!

YOUNG ADULTS SERVICE

hey everyone!!
we're having a YOUNG ADULTS service on May 27th, 2006 (saturday) at 7 pm!! it will be completely put on and run by our young adults and afterwards we'll have a party in the youth room with food and fun!! chris and myself are part of the worship team, so look for us up there :)

we're having a guest speaker from CMU and it will be incredible!!

VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT!!

this saturday, at 12 noon, (we'll start playing at 1) we're having a young adults volleyball tournament!!!! it's at 190 Frobisher, Maple Grove Rugby Park (on the corner of St.Mary's and the Perimeter). bring $5 and we'll have a barbecue after around 4 or so.

put a team together or come and we'll fit you on a team!!!
