I'm hoping Obama wins now, because the pastor issue is not going away, and McCain won't have to touch it, the independent groups will do it for him (Swift Boat, anybody?).

I know McCain isn't exactly what we wanted. The simple truth is the conservatives didn't have a horse in this race. But make no mistake, a McCain presidency will be sharply different from a HRC or Obama presidency. And I honestly do think McCain is a good guy, and honest in his comments. He'll make the Bush tax cuts permanent. He knows his immigration bill failed miserably, and he's not going to try it again. It would never get past Congress, anyway.

Most important, McCain will hold the line on foreign policy, will not cut and run in Iraq, will not blink on Iran...tinpot dictators would infinitely rather see a HRC or Obama presidency. I'm practically a single-issue voter this time around, basically on the war/terrorism issue, and on that, I trust McCain fully.

Give him a chance in the general, man. I'm just saying, keep an open mind. And remember what the alternatives are.Kip Langehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01153653933866007874noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18687772.post-24244625112589410822008-03-18T02:49:00.000-04:002008-03-18T02:49:00.000-04:00I'm sure we both love to watch the Dems destroy th...I'm sure we both love to watch the Dems destroy themselves while burning tons of cash during this primary season. May total chaos ensue! Hell, I'm hoping for pitchforks and torches at the convention in Denver. Let's drink to that, Kip, on this St. Paddy's Day, while there's 12 minutes left.

Don't be fooled. Whoever comes out of this mess will be annointed the "hardened candidate" by the lib media and annointed with glitter. Meanwhile the Repubs will prop the corpse of Juan McAmnesty forward, and then wonder why the money isn't coming in like last time. Dems in a landslide... and it coulda been so easy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
