A+++++++++++++ Ones
1.Homestarrunner. www.homestarrunner.com. The designer is trying to appeal to audiences in a rather cartoony and zany way. The characters are very weird looking, the movements are very cartoony. The designer is trying to make the audience laugh. Not every cartoon on there is extremely hillarious...but only a few. But hey, every site with cartoons has a few bad ones. So, I wouldn't get rid of anything. The navigation is very simple, and there are fun easter eggs that you can look for in various cartoons or still webpages. I never feel lost, because the navigation bar is allways there and there is allways a link back to where you belong. The links are pretty self explanitory, so no description is really required. I wouldn't design this site ANY differently, because it's uniqueness and creativity is part of what makes it such a great site.

2. Happy Tree Friends www.happytreefriends.com. The designer wishes to horrify and frighten audiences in a somehow hillarious way by having cute animals in a seemingly safe situation get horribly mutilated. The designer...obviously hates animals. I wouldn't get rid of anything, because I think anything taken away could make it lose it's strange appeal. I wouldn't change anything either, because it's their thing and I wouldn't dare tamper with it. Navigation is very simple. I never feel lost because there are a lot of links to various places on the site. I wouldn't design it any diffrerently because it's supposed to look like a cute website in order to give the illusion that this is a "kid's" thing.

3. Nanaca Crash http://homepage.mac.com/pockyrevolution/nanaca_crash.html The design wants you to try this game out because of the music and the cute little girl on the bicycle (she looks like she's saying "Follow me! This will be fun!". The designer was obviously on crack when he made this, because of it's weird sense of humor. I'd keep everything about it!! I couldn't bear to change anything about it! Navigation is very easy to follow. You just click "play" or adjust the settings of the game on the homepage, and you allways have an option to leave or change something about the settings while you're playing the game. I'm too busy playing this insanely fun game to feel lost!! Of course I wouldn't change it! I don't know how I would anyway! Though I MAY consider having an in 'english' option, but you really don't need it. Plus, the japanese dialogue so freakin' funny!!

4. Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust official movie site http://www.vampirehunterdbloodlust.com/# The design tells us that this is a very dark, gothic style movie and site. The colors are dark and depressing and the site is very vampirific looking. The designer was obviously concentrating on this movie and using that to design this site. I would keep mostly everything on this site, such as the nav bar, the cool little animations, etc. etc. I would change the flash intro, cuz I thought it was a little weak. Navigation is very simple and self explanitory. I never feel lost there. I'd make the window a bit bigger and as I said before, I'd change the flash intro.

5. Dope Awards http://www.dopeawards.com/ This design is showing some very "high tech" type effects. The sound effects, the font of the letters and the style of the page are very "high tech" looking. The designer probably wanted this to look like some advanced technological device that allows access to a ton of sites...like a really spiffed up links page. I'd keep the cool sound effects and the smooth animation. I'd put description in each of the links before you access it. I was unsure as to what sites were witch at times, plus, a description of the sites would help a bit. I was a bit lost because of the problem stated earlier. I'd put descriptions of each of the sites listed on this site.

The not so good ones...

1. Mission: Kill Xellos http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Fuji/2755/killxel/killxel.html (Please don't go here, I beg of you...This is by far one of the WORST sites on the internet) The design apparently tells us that this kid hates the character Xellos from the anime "Slayers". Well...there's crappy animations of guys pissing and farting on pictures of Xellos...(See? I told you it was bad!) It's hard to imagine the designer "thinking" of anything but human waste and passing gas. I would keep absolutely nothing, except for the fact that this page could serve as an example of what NOT to do when you make a site. There's nothing about this site that I wouldn't change. Navigation? Terrible...plus, I'm still too traumatized from this site to even notice. I don't feel lost...just embarissment for humanity when I think that an actual human being created this site. Re-design this site? I'd take it off, erase the minds of everyone who has seen it and then erase my mind. Trust me, you'll want your mind erased too if you see this site.

2. Peter Pan's Home Page http://www.pixyland.org/peterpan/ The design is freaking me out personally...well...look at it!!! The designer is obviously 100% convinced that he IS peter pan and he wants to show it to the world by making a webpage about it...I would keep....uh...nothing. I would change nothing, because even though it's insanely disturbing, it's still very damn funny. Navigation is allright, but it's the only normal and sane thing on the site. Well...if I'm lost...then sure as heck, Peter pan will come and help me! I would make all the screens black as if you were blind so you can't see anything on the site.

3. Wendell Cam http://pages.prodigy.net/joc/wendellcam.htm There's not much of a design here at all. It's very bland and very blah. The designer obviously didn't care about detail. I would keep nothing...accept MAYBE the giff animation at the front page. I would change everything about this site that I could. Navigation is a little confusing...especially seeing as how every link has the title WENDEL on it with a very stupid and unreliable description at the side. I don't feel lost, because I know I can allways click the back button or the X button to get out of there. I would make this site from scratch and do EVERYTHING differently with more detail and make it appealing to more than people with narcolepsy.

4.Petitions Online http://www.petitiononline.com/ The design doesn't really do anything...accept tell us that the designer didn't really care what it looked like. The designer probably just wanted to foccous on the main objective of the site. I can't think of anything I would keep or anything I would change, to be honest. There IS a problem with the navigation, concerning the words on the screen are sometimes in jibberish, and it's a little confusing when you're trying to get around on this site. I do get lost on this site. I would make this easier to look at (meaning a prettier design) and I would make navigation easier...plus, those petitions never work, AND people make the crappiest and unescessary petitions on there anyway.

5.Hello, my future girlfriend http://www.xsunderground.com/thechilde/ (Dear God...if you love us and the boy in the picture, please let this page be a fake...) The design is apparently supposed to inspire desire or longing in women. The designer was thinking that a beautiful sunset, a charming picture and really hard to read text would get him some action. God, just look at it!!! Would YOU want to keep anything??! Oh NO, I wouldn't want to change ANYTHING...(Obviously dripping with sarchasm) There's only one link to a forum, which is really lazy to me. I feel lost because I wonder what the hell I'm doing at that site anyway!! I'm not even going to answer the last question. It's late. You know I'm probably going to say something hillarious and witty...so why bother? (And NO I didn't run of out things to say...really...)
