July 20th was my 31st Birthday. Last year, was awful turning 30, I was dreading it up to the last second, and I think even after I turned 30. It did turn out to be a good year though. I had a rough start, but my life switched around for the better as the year went on. I have some really great friends that have come into my life, my family situations are better, the new house actually feels like a home, there's a new baby on the way just to state a few. I didn't know what to expect with this upcoming birthday, I usually don't expect much but I was surprised a several different times with the thoughtfulness of the people I care about. It's nice to know that they care about me too! :)

My birthday morning started out with a little sleep in time and then having Kirk get me some Honey Crullers and a BK Mocha Joe! Yummy! In the afternoon, we had gift time, which is always FUN! Then for dinner, Kirk called some of our friends and we met at Mi Jalepenos for a birthday dinner. I have been craving some Mexican. The servers sang to me and brought a cake and as a big surprise to me and everyone else one of the servers smooshed whipped cream on my nose!! It was pretty funny, BUT we forgot the camera so I don't have actual proof that it happened. Kirk did decide to reenact it on Monday night(pic below).
Monday, Kirk brought home a Reese's PB Cup Blizzard Ice Cream cake, double yum! I had been wanting one ever since I talked to Cait last week. So my birthday got extended to Monday. It's Thursday and the kids still think it's my birthday, haha I haven't corrected them, might as well take it while I can! ;)
I appreciate all of you who made my birthday special, it means so much to me! Thank you!

Whipped Cream in the Face ReenactmentThe Cameronsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18401933.post-26482042530722147002008-07-17T15:29:00.002-04:002008-07-24T15:31:27.077-04:00First Barbie!Brad & Abbey also bought Bethany her very first Barbie Doll! Abbey started watching Brady for us when she was in HS and has continued watching both of them off and on when we need her and her schedule allows. Once Brad came in her life the kids quickly bonded with him too. Going over to Brad and Abbey's is one of there favorite things to do! We appreciate them so much, knowing they are safe and sound when we need to be away is such a peaceful feeling!

So onto the wedding, the kids were the ring bearer and flower girl. They looked so cute! We had such a great weekend. The kids were so excited and ready to go from the beginning. Brady quickly bonded with all the guys and Bethany the same with the girls. Bethany got her hair professionally done for the very first time! She looked so pretty. All curly and sparkly. She loved it! They both did so well during the cermony, it was a Catholic ceremony and last a good hour plus. They walked up and down very good, and sat pretty still(for the most part). I think everyone was very surprised at how well they did. We got several compliments afterwards at how well behaved they were. Made us feel like we are doing something right with this parent thing! :)

They both had a great time at the reception. They both danced their hearts out. Brady can get down with the best of them, and of course Bethany is all about twirling! Kirk says they definately get it from my side! I would have to agree, I have a boogyin' family! :) Brady met a girl, they danced the whole night. They were too cute! It was so much fun watching them!
Congrats to Brad and Abbey!!

My mom recently bought them some goggles which they think are pretty cool. Bethany is really not afraid of just getting in the water(even if it's a bit cold) and sticking her head in. My grandparents came in from IL and Eric, Christy and Abigail came in from PA. It was so nice to see everyone. We had a really nice day, had some good food and played some games. Brady showed everyone up on the Wii, it was pretty funny watching them play. We played some Hillbilly horsehoes and some cornhole. The girls enjoyed playing in the wagon and playing with the new babies and grocery carts Grandma Great and Pappy brought them.

I was happy we all got to spend some time together, especially with the family that we don't get to see that much.

We miss you all very much!

The Cameronsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18401933.post-47201027778412460512008-07-02T18:21:00.003-04:002008-07-09T18:33:33.548-04:00Vaction Bible SchoolWe had VBS the week of June 16th. Brady really enjoyed his time there. I think he learned a lot, he was always excited to go. Bethany was too, although she was too young to go to actual VBS she got to stay in the nursery and play since I was in charge of crafts this year. It was a challenge for me, just because I didn't know exactly what to expect. I had some great helpers and it really went well. The kids seemed to really enjoy them and I got some good compliments from the parents. I think I might do it again next year, we'll see. :)

Here are a couple of pics from the closing night, the kids sang all the songs they learned and because they raisied so much money for missions, Pastor Tim had to eat 3 crickets!

The Cameronsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18401933.post-47212382164335438792008-07-01T16:34:00.001-04:002008-07-01T19:54:34.415-04:00Bun in the OvenWell, we decided we might as well let the rest of the world know that we are expecting Baby #3!

I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow and Monday I saw and heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time. I really wasn't supposed to yet, but after a minor fender-bender while on an outing with friends the Dr wanted to check me out just in case. It gave us peace of mind and made us even more excited for this little one.

Brady is super excited about the baby and pretty much asks everyday how big the baby is and when it's coming. He knows that I've been feeling pretty crummy so he usually asks if the baby is making me sick again. haha He gives me as he calls "gentle hugs" and "he won't step on my toes" just at the right times.
Bethany at first said an adimate "no baby", but has since warmed up a little more and now has a baby of her own in her tummy. We rub our tummy's at the same time and look at baby magazines. :)

Here is a pic of our new little one , now remember this is a 9 week pic so he/she is just a little bean it's the white blob in the middle of the darkness. We think it's a darn cute bean though!

I'm due January 28th!The Cameronsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18401933.post-86686487645807139932008-05-30T09:38:00.002-04:002008-06-13T09:50:49.256-04:00The last day of school

Leave a Kindergartner...

Come home...

A FIRST GRADER!!!!

What a big growing year for Brady! I got to rest and relax! Kirk got up and made us cinnamon rolls in the morning, we went to church, then came back to relax some. Brady made me a Wonderful card, if you come over I'll have to show it to you!! Also, they made Mom's breakfast in bed bags at school, I ate mine later in the day though, they also to me out to dinner to El Campesino's, it was really yummy and I ate WAY too much!
Kirk and the kids also got me a very "unique" gift! One that scared me half to death! haha I unlocked and opened the door when we got home from church and I about jumped out of my skin! I thought a black dog was sitting in my mud room! But no it wasn't, it was a black lion!! I had to laugh...Here's the story...about 2 weeks ago we were all at Lowe's looking around. We went to lawn and garden and we were by the lawn ornamnets. Kirk jokingly said " Ohhh, I found your Mother's Day gift!!" A large lion! We laughed and moved on. Well, SATURDAY Kirk went to run his "errands" with Brady I guess Kirk asked him what he wanted to get me for Mother's Day and Brady started going on about this lion at Lowes. Kirk had no idea what he was talking about, but he was going to go there anyway to probably get some flowers. So they got in the store and Brady marched on over to where the lions where and said "This daddy!" Ohhhh! He was adimate that this is the gift I should get. My son has a good memory!

We have dubbed the Lion "Henry"! So far he's a good protector, doesn't require any feedings, does not go to the bathroom, doesn't smell and just requires a slight dusting every now and then. The Cameronsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18401933.post-27433297085785508152008-04-07T07:36:00.001-04:002008-04-07T09:53:39.149-04:00Another first for Brady!Brady reached another milestone in his life yesterday!!

He lost his first tooth!

I think I was more excited then him! Things have been busy in the Cameron household, but it's been a great busy. Let me fill you in on the happenings in recent months:

We'll start with Kirk. He's still plugging away in Columbus. He enjoys the job. He does miss the kids some days though. He has definately become the city driver and finds himself getting frustrated driving around Marion with all these slowpokes. He has found if he leaves before 6am he can beat a lot of the traffic going downtown, so he trys his best to do that when he can. Next month, he heads to DC for a few days. His first DC experience with this job, should be interesting. I tried to book a flight to tag a long with him but it didn't work-Oh Well, I tried! :) Kirk's been able to play some pick up basketball once a week with some guys at church, so that's been a nice outlet for him. He has also been busy working on the house in his spare time. He's been putting finishing touches on a lot of things.

Brady is going strong in school, he recently celebrated his 100th day! They had a big party to celebrate it. He's starting to read pretty good, he memorizes his sight words and is picking a lot of them out in every day things. His writing is coming a long great! Being a lefty I didn't know what to expect seeing that neither Kirk nor I are; but it's been pretty easy. Brady enjoys playing with his army men and trucks, putting together some simple model airplanes with daddy, watching Transformers and arguing with his sister. Brady's bedroom is looking more like a young man's bedroom now which he is very proud of, Mommy is still working on the clouds and planes she promised him and he reminds her almost every day, it will be done in the next month!!! Brady has lately been singing Christmas Caroles and counting to 100 over and over and over. :)

Bethany is a spitfire! She cracks us up on a daily basis. Her vocabulary is growing, which is wonderful! She loves to watch me fold laundry and she tells me who's clothing I am folding. She gets every piece right! She's a great helper and wants to help cook, clean or pretty much do whatever I'm doing. She still loves to twirl, twirl, twirl! She has added little arabesques to her "routine", she will be twirling then stop stick up her leg behind her and pose!! Too cute and funny. I think I may need to get her in some dance classes soon. Bethany still loves to play dress up and wear her "high heels" around the house. She has jewelry all over! She's a girly girl. Her hair is getting so long, her pigtails don't stick straight up anymore! She's been playing with my old My little Ponies I found a lot. She really likes them. She's also a very good Mommy to her little babies; she feeds them and makes sure that we are all quiet when they are sleeping. She can cook some pretty good grub in the "kitchen" too. She is not potty training anymore, she has refused to use the potty chair or even the big potty, she won't even wear her big girl underwear. We were on a roll for a while then-nothing. She only wants to wear diapers. So as frustrating as it is for Mommy we are breaking and trying later. I'm not worrying about it, there's time. :) Oh, did I mention she really likes to bug Brady!! ;)

And finally me. Life has been really good for me these past few months. It's been so simple in a way, just nice. I think I'm the happiest I have been in, I don't know when. I have been feeling pretty good, my headaches are pretty much subsided. I'm still on my daily medication, which I definately think works. I haven't had a full out migraine in a long time. It's been WONDERFUL!! My stomach issues are better, my tests came back all negative which was such a relief. I can see it act up when I get really upset or stressed so I just try and watch that I keep myself as calm as I can. I have been helping Kirk with the house too, we just finished Bethany's bedroom which I love. It's great when your vision gets to finally get out! I know Kirk was wondering about it when I was telling him but now he loves it too!
I had started going to a Mothering class-sunday school for moms, at church awhile back but my heart wasn't fully in it at first. Well, slowly it HAS been in it and I have met some really awesome ladies! I have to say I was starting to think I would never find that close friendship with anyone around here. But I'm starting to feel that kindred spirit with these ladies. We all have a lot in common but yet have our own different personalities that make it so much fun!! We've been able to go on some outings together and have some R&R time. Bethany and I have also been involved with a playgroup that meets once a week. Bethany has really enjoyed it. Today it was at our house, it was nice to have people over. We haven't got to have too many gatherings yet, and I just love having people in my house. I think that's just what houses are for, you know, what could be more fun!!! Probably one of the biggest things that I've been involved with as of late is MOPS. MOPS is Mothers of Preschoolers, it's for mom with children ages 0-5. Our Pastor really wanted to start a group at our church and I was totally on board with that and a lot of other moms were too! So we all got together and began to get it started. I'm in charge of Publicity on the Steering team, there are 7 of us all together on the steering team. I made up all the fliers and brochures, basically getting the word out to the area. I'm also in charge of the newsletter and eventually the website which I'm still working on. It has taken us several months to start off but we had our first Cornerstone MOPS meeting last Friday. It was awesome!! We had a great turnout, lots of moms from other churches in the community. We even received an email from one of the moms saying that after a long week she came to the meeting and felt so good after she left! That's what it's all about!! An outlet for us moms!!!! I'm so excited about this program, we all are!
So I think that's it! As you can see a lot going on, but it's all so wonderful and exciting! I will try and be better about posting so it's not a big long book of catch up.
We hope you are all well and hope to see or talk to you soon!
Love. The Cameronsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18401933.post-10017140286306242512008-01-28T16:19:00.000-05:002008-01-28T16:20:00.480-05:00Pretty Pink Pedi'sThe Cameronsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18401933.post-54035903985942997762008-01-14T11:26:00.000-05:002008-01-14T11:35:35.430-05:00ChristmasWe were able to spend Christmas with both sides of our family this year and we spent Christmas Eve and Day at our own home, which was very nice.

Some pictures:

Christmas Eve

Putting milk and cookies out for Santa

SANTA CAME!!!

WOW!!

Brady's Loot

Bethany and her princess throne

NYE-watching the ball dropThe Cameronsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18401933.post-47735183918694708972007-12-07T23:38:00.000-05:002007-12-18T09:00:34.545-05:00Brady's 6!Today was Brady's 6th birthday! Wow how time flies!

We had another snow day today, so Brady got to stay home on his birthday.(although I think he was pretty bummed he loves to go to school and they were having a special pizza party for safety town graduation) We had fun though, we went to Mc Donald's he wanted a McChicken and a chocolate milkshake. So we brought that home and watched Shrek Christmas which I had taped.

Once daddy got home then we opened his gifts, which he loved so much-thank you! We sang Happy Birthday and he blew out the 6 candles on his cupcake.

One of the birthday gifts that we gave him was to go out to eat and to go see a movie in Mansfield. He was very excited when we told him! We still had some other gifts to open and he said "Wait a minute, I just gotta give you a hug! Thank you for the movie!" haha

So we hurriedly got everyone ready and we went to Mansfield. He wanted to eat at Wendy's and get a baked potato(he's been on this BP kick for a few weeks) so we treated him to that and then we went to the movies. We saw The Bee Movie. It was a cute movie, Beekeepers are bad! :) It was a good ending. It's a kids movie what more can you say.

So that ended the day, Brady was pretty tuckered out on the way home.
