I was simply taking some "poetic license" (maybe mine should be revoked!).

Folks were using post-and-bead sights long before the fictional Matthew Quigley appeared on the screen.

I suppose there is a decent chance that Billy Dixon used one to clean an Indian chief off his horse with his Sharps 50-90 at a measured seven-eights of a mile at the siege of Adobe Wells in 1874.Jock Elliotthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17856044820473990888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18376485.post-85441077445205356852008-08-02T19:16:00.000-07:002008-08-02T19:16:00.000-07:00That type of sight is properly known as a post-and...That type of sight is properly known as a post-and-bead sight, not a "Quigley" sight.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18376485.post-75872704373629347342008-07-30T08:10:00.000-07:002008-07-30T08:10:00.000-07:00Excellent! I also shoot high power and many (other) shooters can hold 1/2MOA or better and that is more than good-enough for FT. The advantage is a consistent POI that is missing in FT.Joe in MDhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06527148424431792327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18376485.post-18031986722871110772008-07-30T02:37:00.000-07:002008-07-30T02:37:00.000-07:00Well, thanks!
