What motivates your employee and then designing a motivation program is right approach. An employee may not feel got with reward and award but recognition in front of all employee for best and outstanding performance. It entirely depends on employee's dedication towards the goals of organization. A person's dedication and commitment towards team goals, and creating good work also means a lot. If you represent a company and are involved into employee motivation work, you need to be involved with individuals initially. You need to know a person thoroughly and try to know what a particular person is seeking from you. If you plan accordingly, you can easily win everyone's hearts and thus contribute towards profitability of a company.

Most company people make the mistake of applying same strategies every where. However, it is important to note that requirements and needs of every employee differ. Hence, it is better to understand specific requirements and act accordingly. Applying same formula may work with some staff members but in a larger scale you need to think specific solutions that actually work.

The Loyalty Institute at Aon Consulting concluded in its research that employee motivation has mainly five drivers;

Level 1: Safety and Security Apart from physical sense of being, organizations must provide a free psychological environment.

Level 2: Rewards Rewards are the main ingredients of program. It encourages employees to put their best in order to gain from the organizations. Organizations attempt to satisfy wants and desires of employees in the best manner.

Level 3: Affiliation This level is attained after employees feel like belonging to the place. In this level, employees easily learn the difference between personal and organizational values to become motivated.

Level 4: Growth Employees look towards individual growth by participating in various activities.

Level 5: Work/Life Harmony In this stage, employees need to maintain a balance in both work and personal life.

About the Author
Rakhi Chowdhary is a professional SEO SEM expert, web analyst having relevant SEO experience, writing experience in an array of industry verticals. nSpire LLC. a reward incentive company offers corporate incentive solutions, motivation rewards, motivation programs, employee recognition programs.

Successfull Motivation W/ No Hype, I Can Help and, If I Can't..no Worry...."a Friend of Mine Knows"

By request, I wanted to share something I wrote recently in a fantastic forum I am a part of. Not to do anything but to let you know you have others out there who want to help, not just make $$ from you! There are so many people who do not understand the following, "If you help enough people achieve success, then you too will be successful".... not many understand this or practice this concept!

We are all told the same things by so many different people, who do not know exactly how to help others succeed regardless of what business they are in. Most of the reason for this is they are primarily interested in their own success!

A true story I wanted to share...........

I had a conversation with a very successful and very good friend of mine this weekend and, he asked what I was doing now that corporate America had let me down. I told him that I was starting up my own Internet Marketing business, and he said "you don't know anything about computers, do you". I just looked at him and said, YEAH, but a good friend of mine knows. He said really what do you mean? I told him about how I found a program that took me in and guided me all the way, they talked with me, walked with me, listened to me and answered any question I asked about building a business on the internet.

I told them about the Prosperity Based Living Protege Program I was a part of and he was astonished and barely had anything else negative to say. He asked me what if your friend did not know the answers you needed, and I told him my other friends would know. He said how did you meet all these people and I told him you have to come and see for yourself, because you would not believe it.

I went on to say, you would not believe the great people you meet, the great training and mentoring you get and the fact that they pretty much guarantee your success, if you just do what they recommend you to do.

You know what he said next: He said I went through 4 years of undergraduate, then 3 more years of graduate studies , then 3 more years of Law school to get my LAW degree and I never had any friends like that! I told him that I knew how he felt because we were in graduate school together and I had the same experiences he did.

We were and still are best of friends, but I realized while he cares about my well being and wanted to know how I was doing, he just did not understand how being a part of a program such as this had given me hope and inspiration to want more. A program that opens itself up to you, makes you feel just like you would want someone to make you feel, and most of all wants you to succeed just as much as they wanted to!

This is just some interesting things that took place this past weekend that I thought you would want to know..........

For all you new and veteran internet marketers............You Can Do Anything You Set Your Mind to.....And If I can't help you...........

Do Not Worry..........A FRIEND OF MIND KNOWS ~!

About the Author
Dr.Bill Hundley, As a PhD in corporate America this allowed me success as I knew it. Having been caught up in the corporate restructuring and cutbacks,I now help people to overcome obstacles that have held them back from building a successful business online. I now run one of the fastest growing Internet Marketing Businesses in North America.

The Secrets To Success

Og Mandino's Secrets To Success

Og Mandino says the most important secret to success is that....

Life is a game.... Precious, Holy, Beautiful but it's a game!

Who is Og Mandino you might ask?

Og Mandino was a person gifted with initiative, talent, luck and pluck. But before he was a famous inspirational speaker and author with book sales in excess of 50 million copies worldwide, Mandino spent a fair bit of time as a frustrated, hopelessly alcoholic failure.

As a young World War II veteran baffled by the seemingly simple tasks of earning a living and having a life, Mandino spiraled into despair and poverty. But one day, his life took a dramatic turn for the better because of a chance encounter with the work of legendary success experts Napoleon Hill, coupled with Mandino's own willingness to take action.

Slave to Good Habits

Og Mandino quotes; "With the ability to read you can work miracles in your life."

The public library soon became Mandino's haven. He continued his wanderings, but wherever he went, he visited libraries and pored over hundreds of sales, personal-development, motivation and success books.

The new habit of reading and studying gradually replaced Mandino's devastating drinking habit. Over time, he experienced an awakening, a dramatic shift in his beliefs and behaviors.

Here is a list of authors that Og Mandino recommends:

•Norman Vincent Peale
•Napoleon Hill
•W. Clement Stone

Another Secret To Success;

Failures always seem to act as if they had 1000 years to live.

Never, never treat time as if you had an unlimited supply.

None of us have a contract with life. Try to live each day as if it's going to be the only one your going to have.

Another Secret To Success;

If you want to succeed you have got to learn to live with failure.

No man or woman is an island. Success absolutely cannot be achieved alone.

Og Mandino was a man who practiced what he later preached. His own willingness, action and perseverance made him into the greatest salesman in the world, with millions of books sold and lives improved. At the heart of his writings and his life was evident his heartfelt concern for the individual human beings holding his books, his deep empathy for those struggling as he once had. He had found a way up and out of self-pity and failure, and had shared those timeless principles with anyone with the willingness to pull his book from the shelf and put its words into action.

If you would like to view Og Mandino's video you can check it out here: http://video.success.com/from-the-magazine/og-mandino-secrets-success

About the Author
Monique Schlosser is a resident of Saskatchewan whose personal and career challenges were a combination that led her into the world of entrepreneurship.

Press Release: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2009/10/prweb3129354.htm

Instructions to a hassle free weight loss

There are a humpty number of weight loss programs available in the market. Hence, it is important for them to learn and understand the factors that determine positive motivation in the workplace. However, the size of the business matters a lot while making strategies for motivating employees. It mainly depends if you want to motivate all employees or just one of them to perform to the best of his or her ability. Motivation can be approached differently by different businesses and the responsibility of its integration lies with its immediate supervisors of staff.

Employee Motivation Programs: To get success in business interests, employers need to implement result-oriented employee motivation programs at different levels of organizational structure. The best way to select the right program is analyzing and anticipating the requirements of existing business models and programs. Know the needs and choose a good program accordingly. Using considerable loyalty programs inspire people to work to the best of their ability via dividing equal amount of work among team members.

Employee motivation program is a positive approach that involves more than self-interest to succeed. It can be treated as a mutual assistance for both employees and employers. Thus, selection of a program which is closely aligned with the needs of an organization's overall agenda should be considered.

Seeing the growing demands, many companies have stepped into the service market that provides closely aligned reward programs that can help organizations to reach new heights while maintaining a positive and cooperative work environment. These companies offer well-planned employee programs that integrate components of communication and formal & informal relationships at all levels of the organizational hierarchy. Author of the highly praised, best-selling book "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People," Covey knows what he's talking about. Or rather, what he's writing about.

In fact, if you type Stephen Covey quotes on Google, you'll probably stumble across thousands of blogs and Web sites dedicated to this man and his words.

In this article, however, I have compiled a set of Stephen Covey quotes that are specific to a person ready to take charge of his own life. If you want to read something that will inspire you to become a successful person, check these out:

Stephen Covey Quote # 1: "Live out your imagination, not your history."

There is no limit to who you can be and what you can achieve if you put your mind into it. Unfortunately, many people are too afraid to step out of their comfort zone.

If your family has always been in the pizza business, for example, you would find it almost impossible to try doing something else. But that is what Covey is trying to get you to understand.

You don't have to achieve what your parents have achieved. You have the entire world before you to take on. Explore and discover.

Stephen Covey Quote # 2: "There are three constants in life... Change, choice and principles."

Everyone knows that change is constant. But people seem to forget that choice and principles are, too!

And contrary to popular belief, we all have a choice. We choose to live, to die, to betray, to support, etc. Even in a situation where we seem to have no choice, we always have a choice. And this choice is always backed up by our principles.

Stephen Covey Quote # 3: "Motivation is a fire from within. If someone else tries to light that fire under you, chances are it will burn very briefly."

You can't just rely on other people's pep talk alone. If you really want to bring forth 100% of your potential, you're going to have to call out the motivation from within yourself.

Ask yourself what you want to do and why you want to do it. You'll find that doing things for yourself, rather than for others, can fuel you to do the things you never even imagined you could.

These Stephen Covey quotes point the way to super success. Apply them in your life and you'll be halfway through to achieving your goals.

About the Author
To help you achieve your dream in record time, I'd like to give you FREE instant access to some of the best self-help eBooks worth over $2,355.00! Now it is time to get the 'rubber to meet the road'. We have to devise methods to make these goals part and parcel of our subconscious thinking. If you are a very rational person you may challenge this notion, but rest assured: conscious (rational, left-brain) goal-setting on its own is a waste of time. Your chances of success are rather slim. If you are totally honest with yourself, you will have to admit that very few New Year's resolutions last beyond February.

Let's do some quick revision. Our past conditioning (P) leads to thoughts (T), which lead to emotions (E), which, in turn, lead to actions (A), which ultimately lead to some outcome (R). We could write this as P->T->E->A->R. Depending on the subconscious thought patterns that currently exist in our minds, these results may, or may not be, appropriate. In order to change the type of results we've been getting in the past, it is necessary to address the problem at its core and adjust our subconscious programming (P). Way back in the 70's, researchers found that the mind operates very much like a computerized control system. Read Dr Maxwell Maltz's Psycho-Cybernetics for some background in this regard.

It is quite difficult to change our subconscious programming. In addition to new programs, we often have to overwrite inappropriate stuff imprinted there by society, religion, parents, teachers, peers and personal experience over several decades. Sadly there is no shortcut, at least not to my knowledge. You can use techniques such as self-hypnosis, visualization and affirmation, but in the final analysis you will have to find something that works for YOU. I discovered the following method quite by accident during my last school year, but, due to a lack of insight, it took me decades before I could apply the technique at will. This is how you do it.

- Decide what it is you really want. Remember, 9/10 is not good enough. Just as an example I will pretend that you really, truly desire a little Audi TT coupe. I like analogies: imagine you are a 15 year-old 'straight' boy looking at the prettiest, sexiest little girl in class, the one you'd like to be your girlfriend. That's a 10 (depending on gender and sexual orientation you may create your own analogy!). Incidentally, as I grow older my priorities seem to change, but I happen to be a flying fanatic and if a Douglas Dakota (DC-3) pilot shoves those throttles forward and the two Pratt & Whitney radial engines roar into action, I still experience a 10. That's why there's a Dakota on my list of goals. - Back to the Audi. If you have not actually experienced one before, do so. Be bold, take one for a test-drive! Or just get into one and smell the upholstery. It does not matter if you can't afford one now. Before you roll your eyes in disbelief, this is EXACTLY what Sir Richard Branson did in order to find his personal private island, Necker. Go read 'Screw It, Let's Do It' by the man himself.

- Find some nice-looking pictures. If you cannot find a nice brochure, take your own pictures and scan them into JPG format. Or find something on the Web. Just be particular about things such as model, color, and so on.

- Locate a good upbeat song. Rock and Roll, or whatever gets your feet tapping. Download something from the Internet, or use free ripper software to convert a CD song to MP3 format. As long as you don't post your movie on the Internet, it's fine. 'I've got a feeling' by the Black-Eyed Peas works fine for me.

- While listening to the music, use a convenient viewer to 'step' through your pictures. Just tap the space bar or click the mouse. I use Google's 'Picasa' just because it makes my pictures look so good.

- Once you are happy with the result, string your pictures together and overlay the music. Use 'MemoriesOnWeb' (freeware) if you have budget constraints. For a more professional result, use a proper movie maker program such as Corel Movie Maker, Sony Vegas or Pinnacle Studio. You can even use Windows Movie Maker if you can get it to work! I use Pinnacle Studio.

- You can make one 'movie' per topic, or string several topics into one movie. You should consider making several versions with different songs, so you don't get tired of listening to the same tune over and over.

I tend to listen to mine in the evenings before I go to bed. Doing it just before bedtime could induce sleeplessness due to excitement! Goal setting should not be boring! I will make a detailed how-to video and post it on my technical blog, http://deonreynders.info. Oh, and by the way, all this goal-setting is useless if you do not start moving towards that goal. It does not matter what you do, just do something!

About the Author
Deon H Reynders is the CEO of Visionary Marketers and lives, with his wife and an assortment of four-legged and feathered friends, near Toodyay in the Western Australian countryside. Everyone is nervous about their jobs and the managers are very strict because their necks are on the line if production is not efficient. But in the midst of a recession the last thing a manager or employer can do is become strict.

First, understand that everyone already knows that times are bad. Your employees are bracing themselves for the worst. They have mortgages to pay off, children through college etc... The last thing they would want is to have another stress about their performance. What this will do is rather than help your employee focus on the job, this will force your employee to focus on NOT to do a bad job. That will make a huge difference. Your employees will be so busy focusing not to do a bad job that they will end up doing a bad job.

So as their manager, team leader or employer, there are better ways to help your employees through this tough time and come out stronger.

Communicate! Communicate! Communicate!

Talk with your employees about how they feel about their situation. It is a taboo to discuss about job security amidst a recession because no one wants to get fired but at the same time there should be acknowledgement about what could happen. At the same time discuss how your team can work together to over deliver on projects and reduce cost.

The important element here is to get team feedback.

The effects of communication are long lasting. This technique will help your employees share their fears and thoughts on current events. Once their fear is shared with everyone, they will feel a bit more secure and have that sense of belonging. This might sound similar to some new-age-self-help but you have to try this method in order to find out if it works.

About the Author
Hassan has been writing articles for the past 2 years now. It may of been the first time in your life that you spoke in front of a large audience and completely froze. This humiliation gives you the fight to improve yourself, such as become a better public speaker. Something like this is all we need as motivation to improve ourselves. With so many negatives in the world today, how do we keep positive? Here are a few tips to think positive.

1)Achieve your dreams. Don't let the doomsayers or negative people bring you down. Avoid people like this. If you have to, don't read the newspapers or watch the news. It's rarely positive.

2) don't ever give up. Thomas Edison never gave up in he 1000's of failed experiments for his light globe invention. Richard Branson, despite being on the verge of financial collapse many a time in his business life, always came out on top.

3) Enjoy what you do. Work as if you don't need the money.

4)Family are friends are your greatest treasures, don't ever forget that.

5)Ignore the people who want to destroy you. Stay away from these people that will try to bring you down. You don't need people in your life that hope you fail.

6) Just be yourself. The number one key to success is be yourself. If you try to please everyone else, by not being yourself, you will fail.

7) Keep trying harder no matter what obtacles you may face. When a person is truly motivated, a very harsh life will eventually clear away. Again, never give up.

Ok these are my 7 Tips to stay positive and motivated. Most of all stay focused and don't let others steal your dreams.

About the Author
Are you tired of seeing your stained teeth in the mirror. After explaining it in a few sentences, they often knowingly smile, and say:

"Oh, you`re a motivational speaker."

Well, honestly, I believe that is NOT true; nor is it even possible. So I cringe internally, and then generally say a little bit more about our work and then move on.

After all, they will be my seat mate for at least the next hour or more.

The reality that I typically don`t share, but will share with you, is that it is really impossible to "motivate" anyone to do anything (for very long).

Why?

Because motivation is internal in nature - and it is always involves choices. Since we can`t choose for other people, all we can do is educate, inform, persuade and inspire them to make a choice that is in their best interest.

We can`t motivate, but we can inspire.

Once we recognize what we actually can do, we can begin to think about how to do it better, which is the goal of the rest of this article.

Seven Ways You Can Inspire Others . . . through your passion. We all make choices based on emotions, regardless of much we think it`s all facts and statistics. Even the most data driven person uses emotions, feelings and deeply held values to make decisions. If you want to inspire action in others, you must be willing to show your passion, beliefs and emotions.

. . . with great questions. Some of the most inspirational questions are those that require no audible answer, but simply encourage the receiver to reflect and answer internally. Inspirational people use questions in this way. They also use great questions to hear the answers and learn about what is impacting the choices others will make.

. . . through dialogue. You can`t inspire deeply or successfully solely with a great speech or monologue. Since inspiration is about helping others make choices they must be engaged in a conversation - and a dialogue is the most powerful and engaging type of conversation.

. . . with meaningful goals. Have you ever made a choice to do something new? It`s often easy to make that choice once, but it can get harder to continue to make those choices without a clear reason why. Goals themselves are important, but they are far more useful when they are meaningful. The why behind the goal will inspire more deeply and with greater impact.

. . . through guidance, support and encouragement. This is also known as coaching and/or mentoring. Perhaps you don`t think of coaching as all three of these things, but the best coaches do. And they realize it`s their role is to help their protégés make new choices - in other words, to inspire them.

. . . through your actions. This is obvious, but can`t be forgotten. You inspire people best through your actions. Your words and everything else on this list are important, but none will be as effective if your actions don`t align with your spoken messages.

. . . through consistency. Inspiration, by definition, is temporary. We all make new choices every day. So if you want people to make inspired choices you must continue to inspire them, remind them, encourage them, support them and more. Inspiration isn`t a one-time, once-a-week or occasional process. It is required day in and day out - and often more frequently than that.

Much more could be written about each of these approaches. I`m sure a long list of additional approaches could be included as well. Regardless, remember, none them will be perfected today or in one try.

Just as you must constantly think of how to inspire others, you must constantly improve your skills in these areas. But only if you want to become a more inspirational leader, teacher, coworker, spouse and parent.

That choice is up to you.

Remarkable Leaders know that being able to inspire others improves their leadership effectiveness in many areas. Those skills are related to several of the competencies of The Remarkable Leadership Learning System - a one skill at a time, one month at a time approach to becoming a more confident and successful leader. While some would argue that fear of redundancy is one of today's most powerful motivators in the workplace, organisations will always need the most talented individuals to succeed. Whilst keeping them motivated during a recession can be tough - as budgets are frozen and bonuses are slashed - there are alternatives to cold, hard cash to help keep your workforce onside in these difficult economic climes. Psychologists have been studying motivation for decades; from Spranger's identification of individual attitudes in the 1920's to Maslow's hierarchy of needs in the 1950's, through to Hogan's taxonomy of motives, values and interests in the 1990's and beyond. They have reviewed and categorised the values, interest and preferences that motivate us to behave in the ways we do. As business psychologists at Pearn Kandola we understand what motivates people in organisations, so here are our top tips for managers motivating on a budget:-

1. Know your workforce - I'm not sharing any trade secrets when I say that your workforce is made up of individuals - living, breathing people, who all have their own personalities, thoughts and motivations. Rule number one is that Managers should identify individual motivators in their team (aside from money) and target their actions accordingly.

2. Recognition - this has been identified by eminent psychologists such as Henry Murray as a key motivator. The most obvious way to do this is through positive feedback. Although it may be forgotten, particularly in times of pressure and stress, a simple pat on the back can give people a real boost. However, avoid overusing this or being too general - "you're doing a great job" has much less impact than "thank you for the additional work you put in to the report, the board were really impressed with the new ideas it contained".

Otherwise, try including a mention in the company newsletter or acknowledgement in a public meeting. But remember, while some people will revel in the public praise, others will cringe and want the world to swallow them up - so refer back to Rule Number One - know your staff!

3. Power - defined by psychologists as the need for control, challenge and getting ahead, some people are motivated by power. While there may be a recruitment and promotion freeze on, are there any opportunities to motivate your staff by offering them increased responsibility or a high status project that will allow them to raise their profile?

4. Hedonism - other staff may be motivated by opportunities for excitement, pleasure and variety, even at work! The entertaining budget may have been cut to nothing but having a project catch up meeting in an art gallery café, a review in the park on a sunny day, or bringing in freshly baked croissants for a breakfast meeting won't break the bank. Alternatively, to reward hard work without increasing outgoings are you able to offer an additional day's holiday or an enrichment day? Some people may even pick these above a salary increase if given the choice.

5. Altruism - some of your staff may be motivated by a concern for social justice and improving society. For them, if a pay freeze means that their hard work cannot be rewarded with a rise - could a 'community day' be offered instead? This reward would allow someone to take time to help others in their community - it could even build relationships with potential clients! If workloads have dropped significantly, are there opportunities to offer unpaid leave for charity or voluntary work?

6. Affiliation - company and social interaction can also be a powerful motivator for individuals, so don't forget to allow time for this. Where heads are down and people are working hard, there may be less opportunity for water cooler catch ups. However, there may be options for lunchtime 'get togethers'. For example, bring your own lunch for a picnic in the park or, alternatively, after work social activities. These don't necessarily need to be sponsored and paid for by the company. Again, these won't be for everyone (see Rule number one) and should be varied to make sure everyone who wants to be can be included - so make sure it's not always five-a-side football or trips to the pub.

7. Security - at a physical level security is one of the more basic items in Maslow's hierarchy of needs. However, many people are also motivated at a psychological level by a concern for security and minimising risk, otherwise known in the workplace as job security. Those who are strongly motivated by security are likely to find the current climate particularly difficult. Managers can help these people to identify what is within their control to help increase both the performance of the organisation and, therefore, their job security. This could be done by identifying the links between the role and the performance of the organisation. This can also be achieved through feedback - being clear on what constitutes good performance and how performance can be improved. This can help to motivate by giving a greater sense of control.

8. Business performance - some people are motivated by targets and achieving their goals. Current targets might seem unattainable or unrealistic in this financial climate, and have the potential to demotivate these individuals. As a manager, review these targets: there may be no scope to change them but can you put in place additional, more achievable targets for them to work towards? For example, in addition to sales targets, could you also set business development activities targets? Alternatively, are there ways to breakdown targets to make them seem more manageable?

Overall though, the key to motivating people is to treat them as individuals -a 'thank you' bottle of champagne for someone who doesn't drink is about as motivating as a Liverpool scarf for an Everton fan. One of the current challenges for businesses is finding creative and imaginative ways to motivate their staff for minimal outlay. Although some of our tips above aren't necessarily 'free' - an extra day's holiday has a price attached and should be considered as part of the wider context if it is offered an ongoing benefit -they should provide a useful basis for the ways, beyond bonuses and pay rises, managers can motivate staff in these challenging times.

About the Author
Louise is a Business Psychologist at Pearn Kandola. It has been our ability to change and adapt that has made us the most successful animals on the planet. If we were not capable of change there would be no houses, cars, aeroplanes or computers . In times of need Human beings have effected change in their behaviour in order to save lives.

The power of change extends to the external world around us not just to ourselves. We continue to shape our environment in order to make life more safe or comfortable just as our ancestors did. The radical changes of the 20th and 21st centuries have changed our lives so profoundly that it is hard to imagine any other way of living. It is the rapid pace of change that creates new challenges to overcome.

It is also true to say that the rapid pace of change also creates new opportunities for us to embrace as well. The successful person is always willing to adapt and change with the world around them. The really successful person is one who is able to create change in the world around them. An aware and inquisitive mind is a must have. Therefore, the successful person must be sensitive to the goings on in the world around them. A top businessman, for example, needs to be conscious of gaps in the market that they are ready to exploit.

A positive frame of mind will form the basis of a can do attitude. People who think positively are far more likely to see challenges rather than problems or opportunities rather than difficulties.. The positive mental attitude of the successful businessmen means that opportunity becomes a reality ; because they also have the drive and motivation to succeed and make their dream come true . So as you can see there is much to be gained from developing a state of optimism in your character about change.

The problem for a lot of people is in developing it and overcoming bad habits. One of the reasons top businessman are able to adapt and change so readily is because they remain optimistic in their appraisal of change. Rather than running terrified of the unknown successful business people are eternal optimists. A change equals a fresh opportunity, it is no surprise that the most dynamic and successful people are those who change and adapt accordingly to the environment and the situation.

It fits in with what Darwin called 'survival of the fittest' . The most successful species are those that have adapted to their environment and made adaption's to change when necessary. Therefore take confident that change is part and parcel of living. Without it we would become stagnant and boring. Therefore develop optimism- optimists are self-disciplined and persistent in what they want to achieve in their life. Optimists plan and take action to move forward. They constantly learn about how to get better at their skills. Their self-confidence helps them to look for solutions and lead them to success in their goals.

If you are pessimistic it is time you shed your pessimistic attitude and develop optimism in its place. There is no place in the world of success for negative attitudes. Think about what you can do rather than what you cannot. It is certainly true to say about humanity that we tend to regard what we are not good at as more significant than what we are. Appraisals at work tend to provide feedback on areas that require improvement whereas school reports may be full of praise but are always encouraging growth and development in other areas.

Focusing on deficiencies is certainly important for self improvement. But being overly critical and analytical is not. The trick is to find the balance, it is important to remind yourself what you are good at if you are to have the confidence to tackle other things. Having the courage to learn and change may not necessarily make you a happy person, but it will help you negotiate hard times more smoothly and successfully as well as learn from these experiences. Knowing how your brain works helps you know when and how to intervene in managing your mind to make the process of adaptation happen more smoothly and perhaps more quickly. It also helps you monitor both the conscious and unconscious spheres of your mind and gives you feedback about whether you are adapting successfully.

About the Author
For more articles about confidence and overcoming shyness then you can visit my blogs at upbeatandconfidentreviews.wordpress.com or discoversocialconfidence.wordpress.com

Tips for Self Improvement and Motivation

One thing that successful people know is that there is always room for improvement. People that achieve great things are always looking for a better or more efficient way to do things. They are not hindered by a challenge, but instead they are motivated by it. You can learn tips for self improvement and motivation that can be applied to many areas of your life. While the goal may be different, the techniques are the same.

Get Enough Sleep

You may wonder what this has to do with self improvement or motivation, but the truth is that many people stay up late and then have to drag themselves out of bed in the morning. Instead, turn off the late show and turn in at a reasonable hour. Set your alarm clock to allow time for a cardio workout before starting your day.

You will be amazed at how much this one little change can impact your life.

Keep a List

No matter how great of a memory you have, you simply cannot remember everything. Why even try? That just causes more stress. There is the stress of trying to remember and then the stress that comes when you forget something. Instead, just keep a list.

Some people make their lists for the next day at the end of each day. Others keep a running list and cross off items as they are completed. The system does not matter as much as the fact that you enlist some sort of system to help you keep track of all you need to do.

Find Balance

Sometimes, people who are seeking self improvement in one area of their life do so at the expense of every other area. For example, when someone is seeking ways to improve in his career, he often neglects his family, friends and health in a quest to succeed at work. Can that really be considered self improvement?

Instead, one of the best things you can do is work to strike a balance between all of the important things in your life. Many find that by doing this they are more able to motivate themselves to work because they know that, at the end of the day, there will be time to be with the people they love.

Don't Fret Over Your In Box

Let's get something straight. You are NEVER going to be caught up. Stop counting that as a goal. There are only so many hours in the day and more and more people are pressing for your time. Part of your motivation has to be coming to terms with the fact that you are only one person, and you simply cannot meet every request that comes your way.

Instead, you will need to prioritize and then allow yourself to linger in the feeling of accomplishment that comes with completing some of the tasks rather than beating yourself for not completing them all.

Set Goals

Part of self improvement and motivation is knowing exactly what you are trying to accomplish. This may sound obvious, but there are many people who are working toward some rather vague goals. This makes it hard to stay motivated because they may never really feel they have accomplished anything.

For example, a vague goal is "move up at work." Move up to what? Would a raise based on a solid performance count? Is there a specific job you have your eye on? Are there steps that you'd need to take between your job and the goal job? If so, each of those steps should be a separate goal. This will allow you to have a feeling of accomplishment as you work toward your ultimate goal. That's important when it comes to staying motivated.

Self improvement and motivation is simply a matter of setting yourself up for success. This means, in part, not aiming for perfection but instead being realistic in the goals you set and then diligently pursuing them.

About the Author
For more help and information please visit http://www.help4socialanxiety.com

Improve Your Weight Loss Results

If you maintain a proper diet and perform regular exercises it is almost certain that you will lose weight. These two things are all you need to succeed but they require constant motivation, devotion and lots of efforts which means a lot of free time is needed, and also you have to say no to many things you like doing or eating. These are strong enough reasons for many people to seek help or alternatives when on a weight loss plan. The most popular solutions are the diet supplements.

So I will go into details about these three major aspects: nutrition; exercise; diet supplements.

In terms of nutrition the most well known word that represents it is diet. This is a term which is much speculated with and there are so many definitions and types of diets today that it is very hard to decide whether a given diet works and will it be good for you.

Firstly no matter how good or popular one diet could be, you can't rely on it for very long time, not to mention years. You will achieve results but after some time all will remain the same. You wouldn't expect to eat the same things every day and to have constant results. Although many diets suggest a day off once a week, which is very good indeed, you should maintain it for a couple of months, get the most of it and switch to some other eating plan.

Speaking of this based on single-food diets, like the cabbage soup diet, is not the best choice to make. About meal replacements, they can be good for one or two week shock treatment, but relying on them for longer time is asking for trouble. They are too low in calorie content and deprivation on calories for longer periods can lead to some serious health problems.

Generally the same goes for one of the most popular diets - the high-protein, low-carb diet. Yes it offers satisfying results in terms of losing weight but also in most cases it does not satisfy the daily calorie needs for the body. And cutting out rich in carbohydrates foods for long time will lower your overall energy levels. After all you don't want to be slim but feel weak with less energy.

A good advice here is to switch to a cycle of low-carb day followed by high-carb day. In this case you will keep your energy levels high and still will lose weight or gain muscle for the hard trainers.

In terms of exercise the important thing is the same as nutrition. To have progressing results you have to perform progressive training (exercising).

First I want to mention that for beginners it is advisable to start with small gradual changes. If you have never run for long distances before or haven't done it for long time and decide to start running with miles for the first time you wouldn't be doing yourself any good. Any harsh changes can lead to injuries or traumas, and not only you won't benefit from it but this could take you out for long time while you couldn't do any exercises.

If you have followed an exercise plan for enough time to achieve results it is almost certain that you would want to improve your shape (results). Here it is not necessary to look for different routine, as long as you have found good exercises which work for you, you could change the parameters of your training like: intensity; heavier weights; the time for res in between series; the variation of an exercise (you could change the angle when lifting weights for example).

If you are running, one day you could run with higher intensity but for a shorter distance, or could run for about 20 seconds almost as fast as you can, and then run slowly for some minutes to recover then faster again. Be creative and always make changes!

In terms of weight loss products whether you will get the benefit from them or the opposite depends on finding the right ones that can work safely and effectively. When surfing online the great advantage is that you cold find tons of information for almost anything you cold think about. So if you are interested in using weight loss products you can make some research before making the final choice. Here are some of the main things to look for:

1.Customer's feedback - these are ordinary people who have tried a given product and give their independent testimonials.

2.Company reputation - what is the popularity of the product they offer? Are they just pushing a product or offer additional info, resources and customer support?

3.Clinical data - if a given product had intrigued you, this step is mandatory. You have to find out whether there is medically evidence for the things that a diet supplement claims. If it is endorsed by leading doctors, dieticians, fitness instructors and personal trainers.

4.What are the ingredients - are they clearly stated, are only natural ingredients included without additives or fillers. Are their any possible side effects?

Interested in finding more about losing weight and healthy living? It is really easy to get hyped up and join a gym or buy an at home workout program, but when it comes to actually using it and staying motivated, that is where most people fail.

(Step #1) Take tons and tons of pictures. You don't have to share these if you don't want to. These pictures will be for you and you only. Keeping your weight loss motivation is easier when you have pictures to look back on.

Take Day 1 pictures and make sure to take as many angles as possible, flex, don't flex, and do anything you can think of. It may seem silly at the time but when you need weight loss motivation you will be able to look back to see how far you have come.

I recommend pictures every day if you can or at least once a week. Take the same poses every single time so you can put them side by side to see the pounds melt away in time lapse.

(Step #2) Just like pictures will help boost your weight loss motivation, measurements will play an equally as powerful role. You should take measurements at the same time and days that you take your pictures.

Make sure to leave notes for the next time so you know where to measure, whether you were flexed or not, whether it was on your right side or left side, etc. Make sure to remind yourself what you did so you know what to do in the future!

(Step #3) This is the single most powerful method for weight loss motivation when it comes to having something to look back upon. Take out your video camera and just like with your pictures, do different poses and flexes. Record yourself for a good 1-3 minutes doing different things and make sure to get a 360 degree angle.

Imagine being able to actually look at yourself the way you used to be compared to how you look now. Video is incredibly powerful in weight loss motivation because you can see angles and things you may not capture in pictures and measurements.

You'll always have that day one video of yourself to look back on. You of course can keep this to yourself BUT once you achieve some amazing results by keeping your weight loss motivation, there is no doubt, you will want to share this with everyone proclaiming "Look at how I used to look!".

Keep your weight loss motivation intact using these three easy steps and you will soon have amazing results and the proof of where you came from. Document everything as often as you can because knowing where you came from is crucial to getting to where you want to be!

About the Author
See how I Lost my Love Handles For Good and got ripped in 90-days using these 3 easy weight loss motivation tips at http://www.betterbody90.com today!

Jason Croxford aka Betterbody90

Sports Motivational Quotes: 3 Super Quotes To Help You Succeed In Sports And Life

Professional athletes are a great source of sports motivational quotes. No one knows how to beat the odds better than them. They know how it feels to work hard and win. They know how it feels to fall and stand back up again. They are amazingly goal-driven and will go through any lengths to improve their track record.

No wonder a lot of people look up to them as heroes! Even if you're not an athlete, their words will give you a sense of renewed hope, a burning desire to win, and the force you need for inspiration.

If you find yourself in need of extra motivation, look no further. Here are some of the most powerful sports motivational quotes from athletes who know just what they're talking about.

1) "Success is about having, excellence is about being. Success is about having money and fame, but excellence is being the best you can be." - Mike Ditka, former American football NFL player

Mike Ditka has certainly known success for a very long time now. However, the goal to succeed is not the only thing that drives him. He is obviously committed to excellence and knows how to make the most of his potential.

You, too, have to realize that life isn't just about material things. It's about bringing out the best in you and making the most of what gifts you were given.

2) "If you sacrifice early, you'll win late." (Charles Haley, American football linebacker for the NFL)

In life, you have to make sound decisions. They may not always be easy, but that only makes your choices all the more important.

According to Charles Haley, you have to try and keep yourself together for as long as you can. For example, if your ankle got sprained, don't join the marathon this year and risk not being able to walk properly again. Never mind that you've been preparing for it for four months now.

As this sports motivational quote tells you, always consider your long-term goals. Don't sacrifice too early just to win the battle and risk losing the war.

3) "The sterner the discipline, the greater the devotion." (Pete Carill, former basketball coach)

Coming from a former basketball coach, this sports motivational quote makes a lot of sense.

Life would be so much easier if everyone had discipline. Unfortunately, that is not the case. But if you have a goal that you really like to achieve, you have to be willing to personally restrain yourself should temptations appear.

These sports motivational quotes are not just words pulled out of nowhere. They are words that are backed up by experience and wisdom. You would do well to keep these words in mind.

About the Author
Want to succeed beyond your wildest dreams? What many people do not recognize is that there is more to losing weight than just dieting and exercise, as this article will show as it takes you beyond the world of strict diets and tortuous exercise routines!

1. Avoiding negative thoughts.

Negative thoughts can do more damage to your attempts at weight loss than anything else. If you tell yourself you can't do something enough times, trust me, you won't do it. Now read that back carefully; I said - 'won't do it', not can't do it or unable to do it but, won't do it.

This is the dark power of negative thinking. If you tell yourself that you are unable to do a sit up, you will have failed to do one before you have even tried.

The opposite of course applies; you have to instill a positive mental approach to your weight loss efforts, keep telling yourself that you will do something, or you can do something, even if you've never done a sit up before for example tell yourself you can do one, if not today, tomorrow and if not tomorrow the day after, but you will not stop trying until you have done one, that is positive thinking!

Now that was just an example, and what it was an example of was positive goal setting. Setting goals will be your fast route to weight loss success. Your goals should be little steps of success that are easy to achieve, not unrealistic leaps that are crying out to you to fail.

If your target weight loss is 50 pounds, don't set yourself a weekly weight loss target of 12 pounds; because you will struggle to make that and the disappointment will eventually cause you to give up. Set a realistic target of 2 or 3 pounds a week in order to reach your target of 4 to 5 months.

2. Surround yourself with like minded and supportive people.

The right support is essential as this will keep you focused and determined. Without these types of people it will be more difficult to lose weight successfully. You need to enroll the support of friends and family as they will give you the backing you ask for and will be behind you 100%.

The weight loss program you eventually choose has to offer good support to its members as a priority in the shape of a forum or a support group where you can chat to like minded people who will be facing the same issues and hurdles as yourself and also you should find that there will be a sprinkling of expert support and input in there also.

Basically, these are the yin and yang of weight loss, negative thoughts, that will stop you ever losing weight and supportive positive people that practically guarantee success.

So, if you follow these tips you should be able to lose weight, because whatever you believe in your mind you can achieve, and you WILL!

About the Author
For the most successful, effective and popular online fast weight loss program that focuses on the calorie shifting method of losing weight visit: http://www.howmuchshouldiweighnow.com

4 Steps You Need to Take to Motivate Weight Loss

Working out regularly can become difficult for a working mom, especially with the pressures of daily life. I know it only too well as my wife is a working mother. She has always worked, even before we were married. Stress related to work as well as taking care of the family makes it extremely difficult for her to stick to a weight loss plan.

That being said, she is an expert at finding time to exercise, I don't know how she does it! She always says that if we can find time to brush our teeth and take a shower every day we should be able to find time to exercise. My reply to that is that they are things you have to do each day to avoid things like tooth decay and skin infections.

OK, she would say, what about obesity, heart disease and any number of countless problems you may suffer from because you haven't found time to exercise daily. Two points to note here: 1. Never argue with my wife, you will always lose and 2. We should all make sure that exercise is given the same priority as brushing teeth and showering and become part of our daily routine.

Never use lack of time as an excuse to not exercise, you would be right though if you think it may be because you have a fear of exercise, lets face it, it isn't very pleasant when you start doing it; we've all heard the saying 'no pain no gain' haven't we! Or it maybe because you do not know where to start so hopefully the advice we outline below will be of help to you in achieving your fitness goals.

1. Don't workout alone, find a workout buddy:

Working out on your own is not always pleasurable! Working out at the gym with someone else will improve your motivation. Greatly making your exercise routine more enjoyable and easier! Have you ever noticed how quickly time flies when you are chatting; God knows my wife can talk! Sometimes she doesn't even realize she's been to the gym!

2. Listen to music whilst working out:

Not exactly a new idea but one that works extremely well as it eliminates the boredom, sometimes encountered when carrying out a particularly boring exercise routine.

3. Eliminate those exercises that bore you:

You will inevitably have certain exercises that you dislike, replace these with exercises you enjoy doing as persisting with them will result in you getting bored and eventually stopping your exercise.

4. Don't go crazy: Take your time; if you have never exercised before you can do yourself considerable damage by not allowing your body time to adapt and strengthen. Although it will be beneficial to exercise daily you should ignore people who say that you should do right from the start if you want to lose weight.

You should begin with say fifteen to twenty minutes per day, on two or three days a week and as your body becomes accustomed to exercise and your new workout routine, you can increase the number of days you work out and the length of time you work out for!

About the Author
For the most successful, effective and popular online fast weight loss program that focuses on the calorie shifting method of losing weight visit: http://www.howmuchshouldiweighnow.com

Selecting a Home Based Internet Business- Increasing your odds at success

Thousands of home based business opportunities exist in today's internet world, selecting the one that's right for you and one that has a significant chance of success are critical to your selection process. We can make you aware of our specific checklist of components(at zero cost) that will take you out of the group of 97% who fail in their first year of operation and into a group that has a much higher percentage chance of success.

Hi, my name is Rick Clark and while it is true that I have been more successful than I ever dreamed with my internet home based business, it is also true that I had never done anything like this prior to 2008. My mentor in the business helped steer me away from the common pitfalls that are normally "learning curves" in the industry. With his guidance and tremendous experience, my home internet business went from zero per month starting in March of 2008 to an average of more than $130,000.00 per month ever since. That's right, over $2,100,000.00 income in sixteen months as a rookie. What I would like to do is provide you with a guide to help avoid the failure that I was so lucky to avoid. The wonderful person that helped me so much has over 20 years experience in home based internet business and has made his fortune doing exactly what we want to share with you.

First, let's explore which business you should select. We have assembled the selection criteria you can use to evaluate the company itself which typically involves the compensation plan of the company and the products the company is bringing market.

However, don't think that once you've found a good compensation plan and a good product line that you're ready to go. There are several other criteria to add to this process prior to making your decision because once you make your decision we don't ever want to turn back. Make your selection wisely and never, never ever quit. Self confidence, enthusiasm, pride, self motivation and several other personal factors can be boosted to new levels and aid your success because of the research you do selecting the right opportunity.

Finding products that people want is a good place to start but we provide hard line questions about those products that no entrepreneur would inquire without. Which trends (economic and other) are affecting the business and products you are looking at? Are they recession proof? These and several more questions are issues that we bring forth for your evaluations of product and company.

Second, let's explore the company's training & marketing program. Are you out on that raft alone without the resources to stream line your efforts and get you in the game quickly. Scoring a home run like I did, involved simple and fast training as well as an effective marketing program that allowed me to begin making money in my first month. We will give you another checklist to evaluate the marketing program of any opportunity as well as (if any) bonus start up programs the company may have.

As you move through your evaluation process with our hard line questions, you will begin to eliminate the procrastination that exists in many of us when we don't have all of our questions answered. Steer clear of any opportunity when that bad feeling in your stomach still exists. Get the questions answered to your satisfaction or move on. If this is beginning to make sense to you, we invite you to get your hands on our specific checklist of components. Rick Clark. www.rickc1.com

About the Author
Rick Clark is a top income earner at one of the fastest growing companies in America combining e-commerce and the environmental movement. With no previous industry experience just 15 months ago, Rick has achieved success that far exceeded even his own expectations.

Simple Steps to Self Help Motivation

Have you been looking for resources for self help motivation? If you have found yourself bored with your day to day life or find that you have a lack of energy, then finding self help motivation may be the answer for you. Finding motivation in your life will help you rediscover new ways to live it; and, once you discover how to motivate yourself, you'll realize just how creative and exciting your life will become.

A friend of mine used to sit around his house on the computer all day. He shut himself off from the outside world in many ways. The more separate he felt, the less motivated he would feel to go out into the world and find ways to stimulate his brain. Needless to say, this became a self-fulfilling cycle. In the end, he felt hopeless and powerless.

What he didn't understand was that the more he gave into his hopeless feeling, the more he distanced himself from opportunities in the world around him. If you've ever felt like that, then you should know that the best thing to break this cycle is to act against your first instinct.

Because you've patterned yourself into a certain behavior, the best way to motivate yourself and break that behavior is to behave in new and different ways. You can start small if that makes you feel comfortable. Break up the small habits and rituals in your life.

Once you behave in different ways, you'll start to feel different things. You'll start to find motivation to break the same old patterns in your life. You'll discover that inside you is a person willing to take rewarding risks. Once these risks are rewarded, even though it may take time to find the new behaviors that are most successful for you, you'll find yourself easily falling into these successful behavioral patterns.

Find gratitude in your small successes. Find hope in the ability to change in accordance with your will and desires. Be determined in pursuing your hopes and dreams. Every journey starts with a single step, so start small and work from there. But don't be afraid to push your comfort zone at times, because that is how we learn to grow and thrive.

For more details: www.optiminzation.com

About the Author
I am the owner oe this site

Bee Motivation

Bees are motivated.

I mean, bees don't need coaches.

They know what they're about, and they just do it. Honestly, I just don't think they can help themselves. They seem to be wired that way.

I recently saw a bee that had had its wings clipped, apparently by a passing lawn mower. But not being able to fly didn't stop it from getting about its mission. That bee was walking up one blade of grass, down the next, on and on in a straight line. It had a mission, and it was going to accomplish it!

Of course, we're not bees.

But sometimes I see people who seem to be as motivated as that bee was. I mean, they don't let anything stop them, no matter what the odds. They will accomplish what they set their minds to or die trying.

Now unless you're an emergency responder of some kind, I don't necessarily recommend that.

But think of almost any person who has accomplished great things, any so-called hero, and the odds they had to overcome. You don't often accomplish great things without encountering serious obstacles. Obstacles that look impossible.

And yet people do it routinely.

They recover from an illness that spelled certain death.

They build a successful business with almost no resources.

They are a single mother of a handicapped child and get the education and training they need to get a good job and provide for their child.

They all have something about them that just would not let them quit. They had 100% commitment. Once they made up their minds, it was a done deal, no negotiating, no excuses.

Many times they don't even see a way out of their situation. But they don't see quitting as an option, either.

It's as if they have no choice. And in their minds, that's how they see it. They truly have no choice.

The decision they made to push through became a defining moment, or series of moments, in their lives. Once the decision was made they had clarity about what they were about. They became like the bee, wired a certain way.

Only most of them, like us, didn't come already wired that way into the world.

The good news is that we don't have to wait for a life threatening or life changing condition to come into our lives in order to make a life changing decision. We can choose our own defining moment. As soon as we get clear about what we want to accomplish in life, we can have the same kind of single-minded focus and accomplish things we may have thought ourselves incapable of.

But the critical factor is getting clear. A crisis in life can clarify things very quickly and remove all other options. It will automatically rewire us as surely as the bee is wired. If we're going to get clear about our path, and develop the same kind of motivation, we have to eliminate other options.

As long as we think "well, I could always do this, or maybe I'd like to do that," we are not committed, and great things can never be accomplished.

A decision is required if you are going to achieve greatness in any area, be it personal, business, academic, athletic, or any other area. A decision means you cut off all other possible choices. They no longer exist for you. You can't look back. You can't steer forward with one eye looking back.

The problem is that we want to be sure we made the perfect choice. I've got news for you: there are no perfect choices. If you wait for the perfect choice, perfect set of circumstances, perfect anything, you will never accomplish anything.

The perfect choice is the one you make, commit to, and then give it everything you've got.

In other words, a decision. When you come to a fork in the road, you choose one path and you go for it, forgetting all others.

That's the only way you will ever rise above the mediocre and achieve greatness in life.

For more information, go to http://thestressreliefcoach.com/sq

About the Author
Dr. Webb is a Holistic Life Coach. Asking people this question (and I have asked thousands of candidates in my HR Consulting career) will trigger many different kinds of answers, from financial benefits or sheer survival, fulfillment, recognition, status, power, challenges, social interaction, fun, interest, curiosity and personal development, to meaningful contribution, helping others, service and "making the world a better place". It is obvious that we all do have reasons to invest our time, ideas, thoughts (and sometimes physical power) in order to achieve something, to obtain a certain feeling or to gain other benefits.

So what is it we actually want from work? Can the answers be narrowed down to a mainstream set of key factors?

I have worked in executive search in Europe and Asia Pacific for years, and as different as the cultures are, the same applies to the peoples` mindsets. In some markets, and here we need to generalize a bit in order to come to a conclusion, monetary aspects are by far the No. 1 stated reason, whereas in other cultures feeling obliged to serve for a greater purpose or to develop a better society are predominantly mentioned reasons for working.

I have had good mentors throughout my career and have learnt how to dig "deep down" in terms of discovering the real drivers, the core motivation for action. In the large majority of cases the key factors are either held back on purpose (situation: job interview) or not even obvious to the interviewee him-/herself.

Now what is the bottom line?

With very few exceptions (opinion leaders, peace nobel price laureates, artists, discoverers, sports semi-professionals, researchers, Doctors Without Borders et cetera) people work for a single dominant cause: making money. If possible - a fortune. Sometimes people even risk their lives or existence for money.

In the context of work, money, a simple word, nowadays can be broken down into compensation, benefits, company car, housing allowances, stock options, partnership, executive bonuses, severance pay and many others. However, even where other reasons and interests play an increasing role when making a decision for a certain job, seldom do people change employment for the same compensation package or less. You do however see candidates moving from A to B agreeing on a less spectacular title, less power or a company with lower anticipated status - if the money is right. It still remains the most important reason for working.

Modern HR consultants and psychologists would most likely not agree with the made statements; and yes I intend to challenge a bit of contra opinion here! You will find a large variety of - proven - psychological, behaviour or value assessment tools, widely used in the human resources and recruitment industry. But one thing is common to most assessments - the financial security or increase of compensation is taken as a fact, is left out of the equation. Assessments do in most cases not consider the option "if you had to live on a 25% lower budget....". Only few would agree embarking on a lengthy career development path putting personal goals and non-monetary achievements first, with the financial success being projected in the far future.

Recent opinion polls show that the trend of appreciating recognition and other personal reasons over money has gained some momentum. But again, opinion polls do not reveal the true core, as they do not go into deep..

Companies and consultants alike tend to "re-invent the wheel", for various reasons. Of course there are exceptions to the rule. Concerning motivation, most companies would love to have a team of employees valuing hard work, productivity, loyalty and (monetary?) company goals over compensation and benefits. Many have tried hard, but only a few have succeeded in creating a value proposition superior to high income potential.

I would position myself somewhere in the middle. Recognition, status, fulfillment and contribution are some of the reasons for me putting in large efforts to my work. The combination with a very decent compensation is the perfect match. This is what entrepreneurs are looking for.

Ask yourself: What is your motivation?

About the Author
* Studies in International Marketing Management, MBMEA * International work experience in Europa & Asia * Held positions in International Trade, Sales Management, Executive Management, HR and Management Consulting * Start-up experience in Management Consulting with regional responsibilities (VP level) * Leadership and career coach * Author of numerous white papers on career management, retention, HR, etc.
