A friendly enough gentleman contacted me in response to my "congratualtions" email and told me that he had been looking for the right bike for the last several months and when he saw my Shadow up for bidding he had a good feeling. His friends encouraged him and he went for it! I wish him the best of luck, safety and enjoyment of this great machine. I'm sure he will enjoy it as I have certainly done!

For your viewing pleasure I had Jamie snap a shot of me before I rode it back to the storage warehouse. I hope to lose a bit more of my "roundness" before riding season in the spring! But for the moment that is how I look! I expect to transfer ownership to the new owner on Friday the 11th of November. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a smooth transaction and decent weather. He will trailer it home but I would still like to see a good day for loading and their drive home!

Dave Newtonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10185924272635087577noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18213649.post-1130119106316141852005-10-23T20:57:00.000-07:002005-11-06T15:42:47.756-08:00First week with the ST1100

Well, it has now been a full week since I took the plunge and bought my "new-to-me" Honda ST1100 motorcycle. A week and a day to be exact! The black 1999 model is my first sport tourer having owned an 1100 V-twin Shadow Spirit, also a '99 model, and previous to that a V-45 Magna of early vintage. This machine is a thrill to ride and has, so far, been everthing I was looking for in a new mount.

Dave Newtonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10185924272635087577noreply@blogger.com1
