Victoria and David Beckham have stripped down to their underwear in their latest campaign for the Italian designer, Giorgio Armani. Last Summer DavidBeckhamNet had the chance of watching David in San Francisco unveiling the huge pictures that covered Macy´s walls.

The Beckhams are promoting the autumn/winter '09/10 collections of Emporio Armani underwear by Giorgio Armani.

The campaign was photographed by the renowned photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

Like one year ago in San Francisco, the launch of the Armani men's underwear line at Selfridges, in Oxford Street, London, with a personal appearance by David Beckham and a gigant poster on the front of the store, caused huge crowds.

David and Victoria Beckham and their family held a celebration at the Blue Bridge restaurant in Writtle village on June the 26th. The Beckhams were at the restaurant, the former Cock and Bell pub in Bridge Street, for a family celebration for the 60th birthday of Sandra, David's mother.

At going home time, David's car was clipped by a vehicle driven by one of his bodyguards.

And after that celebration it was time for the famous couple to celebrate 10 years together by vacationing on a private Caribbean island, Necker Island, owned by Richard Branson.

Becks is set to win his 109th cap in Saturday's friendly against Slovakia and that means that the Milan player will overtake Bobby Moore's record of appearances - for an outfield player -. The overall record is held by goalkeeper Peter Shilton with 125 caps.

And Beckham knows why he´s going to get this honor: "Obviously being at AC Milan now, it gives me more of a chance to be at that higher level.

"I think it was more about the fitness side than anything else but obviously I've had to adjust my game to the Italian game too."

“The booing, the criticism I’ve had it all before. That side of it doesn’t bother me".

What we don´t know yet is how happy are the people that bought a season ticket in LA in the hope of seeing the star who signed for them play a full season (s).

David Beckham is spending his own money to remain on loan with AC Milan where he will stay through the end of the Italian season, on May 31. He and AC Milan are jointly paying the Los Angeles Galaxy a "multimillion dollar deal" to extend his loan.

The two sides were negotiating for weeks and agreed on the loan extension hours before it was due to expire after AC Milan's game Sunday.

"The obvious - reason for staying at Milan - is giving me the chance to play in the 2010 World Cup," Beckham told SNTV. "I personally have to do everything I can do to be involved in that. Everyone knows how passionate I am about playing for my country and, if it gives me a better chance of being involved in that squad, I'll do anything possible to make that happen."

"We never felt we were losing David; we felt all along he was getting back," Galaxy general manager and coach Bruce Arena said on Sunday.

The L.A. Galaxy midfielder is set to start his loan spell next month and is due to return to the MLS team in March for the 2009 season, but Milan is "looking at the possibility of signing the England international until 2010." - Soccer America.

David Beckham might not be the greenest bloke in the world, but last week he made up a little for his jet-setting ways by spending a long weekend in Auckland, New Zealand and helping some great charities!

On Thursday, December 4th, Beckham spent the evening with KidsCan — a charity dedicated to meeting the basic physical needs of financially disadvantaged children, leveling the playing field for them so they have the chance to reach their full potential. Not only did he attend the event, but he also paid $9,000 for a print of Barack Obama during the auction portion and donated it right back to the auction.

Then on the Saturday, Decemeber 6th, Beckham participated in a game to benefit the New Zealand Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Furthermore, the warm-up match benefited New Zealand-based charities such as KidsCan and Find Your Field of Dreams – a new charity set up by athlete John Walker to make a positive impact the lives of young people in South Auckland by providing them with opportunities to live healthy, active lifestyles and pursue a positive pathway through sport and recreation.

JEEZ! That’s a whole lot of charity awesomeness. Even though we’d like to see Beckham get a little greener, we most certainly appreciate all those good deeds. Keep up the good work!

The new Local Government Minister wants to know what went wrong, after the disappointing LA Galaxy exhibition match which will leave the Auckland Regional Council out of pocket.

For organisers to break even, 19,000 people were needed to attend Saturday night's game at Mt Smart Stadium between David Beckham's football team and the Oceania All Stars. However, the crowd numbered only 16,600 with many taking advantage of the two-tickets-for-one deal which was on offer when it was realised attendance would be lower than expected.

Minister Rodney Hide says if the Auckland Regional Council can afford to promote football matches, it is obviously swimming in cash. He says rates need to be brought under control and ratepayers need to be getting value for money.

The ARC has said ratepayers will not be affected and the loss will be offset by profitable events such as the upcoming Big Day Out and the Iron Maiden concert.

LA Galaxy won the match 3-0. Earlier this year, The Herald reported that the Galaxy's match fee was $1.71 million.

The world's highest-paid soccer player passed on priceless footballing advice to thousands of young fans yesterday.

Jemma Pickstock, 7, from Kristin School, was one of six children called out at random from 6500 in the stands at Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium to join David Beckham and the LA Galaxy in drills at a training session.

At one stage, during heading practice, Beckham bent down to Jemma, the youngest of the group, and whispered something in her ear.

It seemed to work because, having just missed a header attempt, she made firm contact with the next one.

Jemma later said that the soccer megastar's advice to her was "keep your eye on the ball".

Another of the lucky six to spend half an hour on the pitch with Beckham and his teammates, 9-year-old Teaa Tawhi, from Oranga School, said the experience made him want to become a better soccer player.

Teaa said Beckham complimented him on his soccer skills, and the words would motivate him.

"It was exciting and I was very happy," he said.

With the United States Major League Soccer competition in its off-season, the LA Galaxy are in Auckland to play a charity match against an Oceania All Stars selection tonight.

The 33-year-old will arrive in Milan just before Christmas to settle and will start training with his (temporary) new team from January.

"It's important to play regularly if you want to stay in shape," the former England captain said. "That's one of the reasons I decided to go to Milan for a few months.

"He is doing well in his management of every single player and the team as a whole," said the former Real Madrid man.

"He's also doing well for England as a nation because there was such gloom after we failed to qualify for Euro 2008. The important thing is to stay focused and continue to play like this so we can reach the 2010 World Cup. There's still a lot of work to do."

Beckham and his Los Angeles Galaxy team are due to play an exhibition match in Auckland on Saturday. He touched down in New Zealand at 5:30 a.m. local time looking travel weary, standing quietly among teammates as a group of indigenous Maori performed a traditional welcoming ceremony.

Last December, the English superstar drew a crowd of more than 32,000 to their match against the Wellington Phoenix A-League side in Wellington.

While mum Victoria was in London to launch her dress collection, doting dad David Beckham enjoyed some 'boys time' with his sons. The LA Galaxy player treated his sons to a little basketball action.

Brooklyn, nine, six-year-old Romeo, and Cruz, three, were full of beans and clearly excited as they took their seats alongside Becks to see the LA Lakers take on the Toronto Raptors. And as soon as David went off to grab some refreshments the trio were soon indulging in some lively play-fighting, with little Cruz at one point landing a playful punch on big brother Brooklyn.

It was all in good fun, though. And there were hugs and kisses all round as David, who joins AC Milan at the end of this week, returned and allowed the youngest two to clamber onto his lap to watch the game.

Contrary to media reports, David Beckham has not signed a loan deal with AC Milan.

Adriano Galliani, AC Milan vice president, said Thrusday that the two side are close to coming to terms on a deal that would allow Beckham to join the rossoneri in January and remain with the team until next Summer. "The deal is not done yet. We have to define everything with his lawyers and the Galaxy," Galliani told Conto TV Thursday. "I'm confident but it is absolutely not closed."

"We will have time in the upcoming weeks to go over the deal in full agreement with the Galaxy," Galliani said. "We don't want to undermine the Californian club. The deal is underway and at an advanced stage but it's absolutely not concluded. I don't want to be a pessimist but I can't guarantee something that is not guaranteed."

While many Italian clubs are struggling with attendance, Galliani noted that 65,000 fans showed for Milan's home game Sunday with Sampdoria.

"Beckham will bring more fans," Galliani said.

"For me it will be a pleasure," Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti said. "Beckham is a serious athlete, a great professional. If he'll be available for four months with us, we'll be very happy."

Ancelotti also indicated Beckham could play for Milan in the UEFA Cup.

"If he becomes available for Milan, evidently it will be for both in Italy and in Europe," the coach added.

During the MLS offseason last year, Beckham trained with English Premier League side Arsenal to keep fit but did not play for the club.

He quit as England captain after the 2006 World Cup and was dropped from the team by Steve McLaren. He was reinstated to the national team and has been used sparingly by England coach Fabio Capello. He appeared as a late substitute in all four World Cup qualifying victories against Andorra, Croatia, Kazakhstan and Belarus.

Both the Sun and the Daily Mirror said yesterday that a husband and wife housekeeping team at the Beckhams' mansion northeast of London were arrested and questioned by police last week.

The newspapers say some of Beckham's soccer memorabilia had been placed on eBay. Dresses belonging to former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham were also reportedly for sale.

No one has been charged. Police said only that they are investigating a theft. Representatives of the Beckhams declined to comment.

“The house is incredible but the market is in a terrible state right now and the Beckhams have had no offers. A few people have viewed it but prices are plummeting,” the Daily Star quoted a source at the estate agent selling the property as saying.

“They’re going to have to take a lot less than the original price to have a realistic chance of selling the house. It’s a magnificent place with lots of charm, beautifully and tastefully decorated. But even the super-rich have been hit hard by the credit crunch,” the source added.

Becks, 33, reckons he and wife Victoria, 34, find being in the media glare difficult.

But the footie ace, who gave the interview to OK! magazine, revealed their three sons Brooklyn, 9, Romeo, 6 and Cruz, 3, help them relax.

He said: “We have quite a lot of pressure, honestly, as a couple.

“But I think having children around takes all the pressure away.

“Either of us could have had the worst day at work, but it doesn’t matter because then you come home and see your sons smiling.

“There are pressures on us as a couple, but we’ve had that since we first started going out, so we’ve got use to it over the years.

“We have a way of working through it by looking out for each other.”

The star, who has kept his place in the England side ahead of internationals against Kazakhstan and Belarus, said being a father is “amazing” and has changed his priorities.

But Becks is determined to give his children normal lives.

He said: “You just have to try to be as normal as possible – not just for us but for our children. It’s hard, but they’re the important ones.”
