Hindus and Muslims coming to Jesus! Now leaving to jungle mission by faith...

Dr. Jorge,

    God is so good and amazing in our first outreach. We are very much rejoinging in the Lord to share with you that our first outreach was very much sucessful. We could preach the purpose of Jesus' birthday on this earth. Many taxi drivers, poor lepers,widows,AIDS people and politicians attended to this Christmas outreach.
   It is your prayer and support that enabled us to share the gospel to more than 350 people yesturday at small town called 'Tadepalligudem.'
   Two taxi-drivers gave their lives to Jesus. Praise God.
   One political leader namely "Someswara Rao" has given his life to Jesus. He is very much interested to know about Jesus. Our Orphanage boys could present very nice gospel dance in front of all the Hindu people.
   Praise God for such a wonderful mission we could have in spite of many financial struggles. Our enemy has been ashamed to see this first Outreach. Praise God.
   Of course, we have to pay some bills for sound system and tent-house and lighting. I have requested all the people whoever I suppose to pay for, to wait till our jungle outreaches are finished.
    OUR JUNGLE TRIP HAS BEEN POST-PHONED TO COMING SATURDAY AFTER NOON. BECUASE OF TWO REASONS: WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH FUNDS TO BUY FOOD,BLANKETS, AND DRINKING WATER.
        SECOND THING IS WE DON'T HAVE ANY VEHICLE DUE TO CIVIL WAR- STRIKE. OUR OLD VAN IS NOT YET FIXED OUT DUE TO NO FUNDS FOR THAT.MOREOVER OUR DAUGHTER AND TWO OF ORPHAN BOYS ARE SUFFERING FROM CHICKEN POX.

On Friday, December 4^th, I was awakened early in the morning with a burden to pray as I considered the consequences of abortion being mainstreamed into the national healthcare system if the senate healthcare bill is passed.

The Threshing Floor

I turned to 1 Chronicles 21 where the destroying angel was standing between heaven and earth with his sword drawn at the threshing floor of Ornan. David was commanded to erect an altar to restrain the angel of death. In obedience and repentance, he offered up burnt offerings with broken prayers and the Lord heard, the angel sheathed his sword, and the plague was ended.

God's Intervention

With all my heart I believe we have come to the point where the angel of death can be restrained on this new threshing floor, the floor of the Senate. If the Church, like David, will cry out in united urgency, God may intervene and restrain this healthcare bill that has tax-funded abortion at its very core.

An Esther Moment

Immediately I changed my plans that morning and flew to Washington DC to fast and pray for 3 days during the Senate debates. In what I believe was a divine appointment, I met with Tony Perkins and some of his staff. There we determined to call the nation to prayer for such a time as this, an Esther moment appealing to the throne of heaven to overrule the thrones of earth.

The Hyde Amendment

"Now we face not a military crisis but a moral one. Every day thousands of precious unborn lives are lost, and their mothers misused, by the abortion industry. While nearly 50 million unborn children have been destroyed since the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973, for three decades the Hyde Amendment has prevented federal dollars from going to pay for abortion except in cases of rape, incest and the life of the mother. Decision to create new Indian state sparks protest

By NIRMALA GEORGE (AP) – 21 hours ago

NEW DELHI — Protesters took to the streets Friday, setting public buses on fire and clashing with police, in anger over India's decision to carve a new state out of the southern region of Andhra Pradesh.

The conflict highlighted the tensions that underlie the vast array of ethnic and linguistic groups bound together in the massive Indian nation.

The country has allayed some of that friction by giving substantial power to its 28 states and creating new states to empower still more ethnic minorities.

In a surprise move, the federal government agreed Wednesday to give in to a 11-day hunger strike by a senior politician, K. Chandrasekhara Rao, who demanded the creation of the new state of Telangana out of the vast state of Andhra Pradesh.

As Rao's condition weakened, his supporters stepped up protests and threatened to storm the state legislature.

Telangana supporters have complained their area in the north of the state was underdeveloped and ignored by powerful politicians from southern Andhra Pradesh. Demands for a separate state have erupted sporadically since the 1950s.

The government's decision to create a new state led to counter protests. A mob rampaged through the streets of Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, Friday in anger over the government's decision. Under the proposal, Hyderabad would be located deep inside Telangana, though it was not clear whether it would be part of the new state, the old state, or serve as a joint capital.

The crowd lit a bus ablaze and threw rocks at vehicles, while police tried to disperse them with batons.

The decision also stirred anger within the ruling Congress Party, with more than 130 Andhra Pradesh legislators resigning from the party to oppose the division of one of India's largest states.

Already, the government appeared to be backtracking. Andhra Pradesh chief minister K. Rosaiah said the government would move ahead with the decision only if a broad consensus was evident among the people of the state.

The government's initial decision has given hope to ethnic minority groups across India who have been pushing for states of their own for decades, including in the remote northeast, where long simmering separatist demands often boil over into violence.

"If Andhra Pradesh can be divided to create a new state, why not Assam? Our demand for a separate Bodoland state for the Bodo ethnic group is more than two decades old," Hagrama Mohilary, chief of the autonomous Bodoland Territorial Council, said Friday.

Meanwhile, critics said the government did not properly study the ramifications before announcing its decision on Telangana.

"The decision was taken in immense haste. It wasn't thought through. The party's own legislators are rebelling against this," said Pratap Bhanu Mehta, political analyst and head of the Center for Policy Research in New Delhi.

He said activists' demands that large states be divided along ethnic lines to empower the minority groups has merit.

"India has four times the population of the United States, but far fewer states. A demand for smaller more representative states is justified, but this needs to be done within a constitutional framework and not by giving in to political agitations of this kind," Mehta said.

There are also movements calling for the break up of at least six other states besides Andhra Pradesh.

On Friday, leaders of the Gorkhas — a group of ethnic Nepalis living in West Bengal — called for an indefinite strike to push their decades-old demand for the creation of Gorkhaland.

Many young people are being killed in the reginal disputes and many public and private properties are being destroyed and ruined and set on fire.
   As a result, for past two days we have been having strike in our state. No public transporation to travell around now. Private vehicle are allowed now. This strike today and tomorrow. Since, we don't have any vehicle, we are facing a big challenge and bitter experience today to go around in order to prepare for our forth-coming outreach on 15th of December.

Torricos Update From Bolivia

Cochabamba, December 2009

Dear co- workers on the Vineyard of the Lord:

May grace and peace of the Lord be upon each one of you.

Let's praise the Lord together for his wonderful blessings, even with political difficulties and limited resources; God has been good to us, giving us the opportunity to spread his Word. In certain occasions doors were open like in the best times, and what we were lacking was time to reach all the places, even when we tried to be the minimal amount of time at home.

On the same way the Lord is providing more opportunities for Jaime Jr. on conferences. We pray that God will use him as much as he used Gaby and me through these almost 39 years at his service; we believe that the time has come for Carola and Jaime Jr. to share a major part of the responsibilities in the ministry.

Some of the places where we have been preaching are: Chapare, Aiquile, Palacios, Challapata, and of course in the city of Cochabamba and the small missions in the high valleys.

After a while, many churches have remembered to put focus on evangelism, thanks to the Lord in this way it was possible for us to guide hundreds of souls to the Saviors feet, but even like the double of that amount, were the number of believers doing reconciliations with the Lord, especially those that were mislead by the policies of the current government.

On the other side it's a special blessing to distribute Bibles to the teachers of rural areas, as time permitted; we were able to reach with this material the teachers that work on remote areas away from our cities. Many of them accepted Christ on their hearts. This on the other hand leaves the doors open to be able to preach on their schools on the future.

It seems that our government has given instructions to put obstacles on the regular mailing in this month, or we don't know maybe just until the elections on this December are finished (this is very strange for us). We apologize that this year we may not be able to send our holiday greetings as usual and since Christmas is getting close, we take advantage of this opportunity to wish you from our hearts our greetings and blessings in this season, may the Lord will fill your lives with his richest blessings during these holidays.

The Oak Weekly Letter - Dec. 02, 2009

Dear Jorge Parrott,

Now that Thanksgiving is over, that does not mean that we should stop thanking the Lord! Eternity will not be long enough to thank Him for all that He has done for us. What an awesome, wonderful God we serve! Because we are told in Ps.100 that we enter His gates with thanksgiving, being a thankful person is how we can enter His presence every day.

Let us thank Him that we live in a country where we can still openly worship Him. Even though this freedom is under increasing pressure today, this greatest of freedoms that has been a chief pillar in the building of America has weathered furious storms and to date still stands. This is because of people like you who have joined The Oak Initiative and other similar movements now arising in the land. To join something like the Oak you have to be an aware and proactive person, willing to get engaged in the important issues of the times.

The Signers

The story of each of the signers of The Declaration of Independence should be studied by every American. During that time of crisis, a group of extraordinary men arose and stood up for their convictions in the face of the greatest possible personal risk. As soon as they signed, they knew they would be hunted down by the armies of the most powerful empire in the world. As soon as they signed, they knew that they would be guilty of treason, a hanging offense, and that their estates and property would likely be confiscated or destroyed, but they resolved to hang rather than suffer under tyranny.

This would have been a remarkable story if those who had signed had all been poor and so oppressed that they did not really have much to lose, but that is not the case. Those who signed The Declaration of Independence were almost all very wealthy, having great fortunes, large estates, or large businesses, but they loved liberty more than they loved their fortunes. Many had been offered large bribes by the crown to turn and swear allegiance to the King. Every single one resisted. Many of the signers then actually lost their great fortunes, had their estates burned, and some laid down their lives for the cause, but not a single one ever wavered from their resolve, and freedom was won.

History often only recounts the most exceptional or glorious events, but the five years of The Revolutionary War were some of the most trying in our history. Foreign armies ravaged the land and the people, burning, raping, and plundering. The fourth year of the war was very devastating and discouraging, and then the next year was even worse. It seemed the most hopeless of all just before the victory that secured American independence. The patient endurance and unwavering resolve of the leaders we now know as the Founding Fathers provided one of the great heroic stories in history.

Immediately after their victory, they had to go to work rebuilding a war-devastated nation based upon principles that had never been tried before. No one but the founding fathers thought that these new principles had a chance to work—the most basic principle being that government should serve the people instead of the people serving the government.

It is probably unique in history that such a revolution would be led by the elite class who had the most to lose and the least to gain from it. They all seemed to believe that their fortunes, their educations, and all of their abilities were given by God for this purpose, as their writings indicate. When years went by and they suffered the loss of battle after battle and had their beloved land ravaged by an intractable enemy, they endured and did not give up. They did not even consider how to get their fortunes to another country where they would be safe—but they used them to help sustain the cause. One of the wealthiest of the founding fathers was Robert Morris, whose credit was better than that of the whole Continental Congress. He borrowed under his own name to sustain the army, even personally funding the Continental Army's march to Yorktown and the defeat of the British Army under Cornwallis.

Where Are the Patriots?

One of the questions I get asked the most is where people can put their money so that it will be safe or what other country should they move to since this one is becoming so hostile to Christians and to people of means. We may right now be experiencing one of the biggest flights of capital from our nation in history. Wanting to preserve what you have worked so hard for is understandable, but we are in need at this time of those who will resolve to stay and fight with everything that they have been given for what is right—resolving not to lose all that has been handed down to us without expending all that we have been given to try to preserve it.

A few months ago, I was having lunch with a man who had lost a great fortune in the stock market crash of 2008. He was not an unhappy man, but he said that it was worth it to come to know Christ. He only lamented that he had not known Christ before so that he could have given his fortune to the cause of Christ instead of just losing it in the market. I don't know whether this man will ever make his fortune back, and he did not even seem very concerned about it, but he just wanted to make an honest living and do the Lord's will. I know many others who knew Christ when they made their fortunes, and I heard them say often they were given what they had for the purpose of the kingdom, but never seemed to get around to really investing in the kingdom. Their sorrow will be greater than those who have lost all. As Jesus said, "Those who seek to save their life will lose it, but those who lose their life for My sake will find it" (Matt.10:39).

If you are wrestling with these same questions, I ask you to consider that maybe the great fortunes, talents, or other resources you have been entrusted with are for such a time as this. You may be able to send it to another country and preserve it for a time, but the whole world is in crisis. If America falls to the enemies that now threaten her, no Christian or fortune is likely to be safe anywhere. Why not take our stand right here, right now, and resolve like the greatest souls throughout the centuries that we will not retreat before the enemies of the cross, and we will not surrender a single acre of ground to those enemies.

The Oak Initiative has already made itself odious to some powerful people. Those people are supported by multi-billionaires who are now in control of much of our media and many of our politicians. We don't have any such benefactors yet. Of course we would like to have such benefactors, or even one, so that we could build a world-class media and accelerate our grassroots organization. However, we are resolved to do all that we can, whether it is with little or considerable material resources. What we do have is far more valuable than material resources—we have strong believers coming together in unity. This gives us a greater potential than all of the world class or state of the art resources in the world can—we can call on our God and He will hear us. The main thing is to be sure we are doing the Lord's will, and if we are, and God is for us, then it does not matter who is against us, or what resources they have.

Going Viral by the Holy Spirit

Last summer when I was on vacation I received the brief from Matt Staver of the Freedom Federation on what was in the proposed health care bill. As I read this brief I was not only shocked, but a great burden came upon me that I could not shake until I had written a Special Bulletin. Both the research and bulletin were done very hastily because they were seeking to ram this bill through congress so quickly no one would have a chance to read it, much less study it. Even though both the research and the bulletin may have been done poorly because of our lack of time, that bulletin went viral immediately. I was told there were 4th generation copies within 24 hours. Though I did not see the stories, I was told that major newspapers had accused me of supplying the talking points for the town hall meetings that stunned and helped awaken the nation last summer. I don't know if that is true. I would be happy if it did, but my point is that we have a Holy Spirit who can trump any media in the world and use the weak and foolish of this world to do it.

Technology is wonderful, and we should appreciate great equipment and resources, but far more than that, we must put our trust in the Holy Spirit. Our resolve cannot be based on how much support we get, but on the righteousness and justice of the cause. Even if we do not see the ultimate victory, as many of the founding fathers of the nation did not live to see their victory, we must have the simple goal of wanting to hear the greatest of all words on that great judgment day—"Well done good and faithful servant." Therefore, our goal must simply be to be obedient.
In our present struggle, we may have some very dark times ahead. We cannot quit—ever. Like in the first American Revolution, it may look the darkest and most discouraging just before the ultimate victory, but victory will surely come if we do not quit.

Presently, we can have great encouragement because what is needed for our victory, and a victory that will last is for God's people to wake up and get engaged, and this is happening now. But even if this was not happening, the greatest souls will stand for truth and not waver, even unto death. That is what has fired the birth, spread, and victory of the truth since the first century, and will do so until the end.

A couple of years ago, I began to say that it would take the same kind of boldness, courage, and endurance to save our country as it did to found it. When I first began to say this, it did not seem that our country was in quite that much jeopardy, but soon it became obvious that this was indeed the case. We are in great need of great souls who are resolved to stand for their convictions without wavering, and with great endurance, even if they have to stand alone at times. We must resolve to stand even if it becomes unpopular or dangerous. We must stand because we love the truth. Loving the truth is more than just having the truth. Anyone will quit except for those who love, which is why we are told in II Thess.2:10 that it is not those who have the truth who will not be deceived, but those who have "a love for the truth." Those who love the truth will also make sacrifices to find the truth. They will search, and search deeply, having a strong foundation for their convictions.

Honoring the Fathers

About 3 years ago, I was given a dream in which I was told that if we would honor our fathers, the Lord would bring revival to America within 6 months. With a friend, Paul Keith Davis, we hosted a conference on "Honoring the Fathers," that some felt may have been one of the most important conferences we have ever hosted. We were shown that it was by the dishonoring of fathers and fatherhood that one of the biggest gates of hell had been opened into our nation. A "gate of hell" is a doorway for hell to enter through. This attempt to dishonor fathers and fatherhood has swept our nation and is a dominant theme in movies, television, books, and the media since the 1950's. It has been a very purposeful attack to undermine the core strength of ours or any other nation—the family.

Since then, I have tried to share the message of how we must honor our fathers and mothers everywhere I go. This is the only commandment with a promise which is found in both the Old and New Testaments. The promise is that it will go well with us and that we may dwell long in the land that the Lord has given to us. As we should have learned by now, winning political campaigns is not enough to turn our nation around. We need another Great Awakening.

The First Great Awakening set the spiritual genetic code of our nation and gave birth and definition to the principles that the nation was founded upon, and which have enabled us to become as strong and prosperous as we have. The Second Great Awakening gave birth to a resolve to see one of the great evils of those times, slavery, confronted and defeated. Both victories were at a terrible cost, but they were worth it. The deadly threats to America at this time are not less terrible, but actually far more so. Our most basic freedoms, and the very soul of who we were created to be as a nation, are under the most deadly attack yet in our history. One of the reasons why it is so deadly is because it is so obscure and confusing, coming from some of the most seemingly well meaning people.

You cannot defeat an enemy you cannot see. We need to have a clear vision of what we're fighting. It is not people, but ideas, philosophies, and even religious convictions, on the extreme right and the extreme left, that may seem so benign, and even well intended, but whose history makes clear that their true nature is never manifested until they are in control. These we will address in much more detail in the weeks to come, but for now we need to be concerned about what will attain for us the favor of God.

The Power of Reconciliation

It is noteworthy that nowhere in the Bible that we are given the commandment to honor our fathers and mothers does it say that we are to honor perfect parents, or even good ones. There is only one perfect Father, and He is in heaven, but every father on earth is deserving of honor, regardless of how bad they were, simply because this is a commandment. If we had poor fathers, or even evil ones, we can have an even greater reward for finding any way that we can to honor them, even if they are dead, or as the case with some, we do not even know who they are. Finding a way to honor them is one of the most powerful things we can do to be free ourselves from yokes of bondage that have kept us in chains.

John Kilpatrick shared a remarkable story about this with our congregation a few months ago. There was a young man in his church that he could never get close enough to even meet. He seemed to dress and carry himself in a way that would purposely repel other people, but he would come faithfully and sit in the back of the church. Then one day he showed up, shaven, clean, well dressed, and with a remarkable new confidence. This time he did not avoid John but actually came up to him after the service to talk. John was obviously interested to know what had happened to him.

This young man came to thank John for his message on blessing. He had taken it to heart and returned home to try to get his father's blessing. His father had been cruel to his son his entire life. Even at the sight of him at his door, he raged and told him to get off his property. The son held his ground and said he would leave if his father would do just one thing for him. The father, caught off guard, asked what he wanted. When his son said that if he would just give him his blessing, he would leave and not come back, the father, obviously stunned, asked him how he was supposed to do that. The son said that if he would just pray a simple prayer of blessing over him, it was all he wanted from his father. To make a long, but wonderful story short, this led to a remarkable reconciliation between the father and son and the transformation of both of them.

In the last two verses in the Old Testament, Malachi 4:4-5, the Lord says, "Behold I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the Lord. And he will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the land with a curse."

Right now, there are many such seemingly impossible divisions in the country, but probably the most devastating is the one between fathers and their children, especially with all of the broken homes we now have. The ultimate purpose of God in the earth is the restoration of the earth and mankind from all of the consequences of the fall. This restoration includes redemption and reconciliation. Could it be that the restoration of the hearts of the fathers to their children could help us heal many other divisions among us? Could it be that this is the curse that we have been smitten by that can only be healed if we go to the root by healing the divisions between fathers and their children?

It seems that this is at least one reason why the Lord could so honor King David so as to establish for him a throne that He promised would last forever. As ruthless, cruel, and unjust as King Saul was toward David, he never dishonored Saul, but rather did the opposite even after he was dead. One of the most remarkable things about this relationship was how David referred to Saul as his father. David was not even treated very well by his own father Jesse, but he never complained about it, he just rose above it. True greatness comes from overcoming problems not from not having them.

Whether we accept it or not, our personal problems are not the result of bad potty training, or anything else bad that happened to us, but are probably much more the result of how poorly we reacted to them. We are promised by the sure word of God that He causes all things to work together for good for us, so how could we possibly complain about anything that happens to us? Everything that happens will either make us better, or bitter, depending on how we react to it.

Honoring the Founding Fathers

On July 4th, 1776, fifty-six representatives of the thirteen colonies adopted The Declaration of Independence, which in effect was signing their own death warrants for treason against the crown. Many of the signers paid with their fortunes, and some with their lives, but none lost their sacred honor. Because of the proximity of the occupying British troops to their estates, some of these men knew that the moment they signed the document, they had doomed their considerable fortunes and would be left destitute. They signed anyway. What would cause those who had so much to lose to be so willing to pay such a price? There are some things worth more than any earthly possession.

Another factor may be that this was a remarkable gathering of some of the most extraordinary men. One of their company, Philip Livingstone, a lover of the classics and the great thinkers, made this comment about The Continental Congress: "I must declare and affirm, that in all my reading and study... and having admired the master spirits of the world, that the solidity of reasoning, force of sagacity, and wisdom of conclusion, under such a complication of circumstances, no nation, or body of men, can stand in preference to the General Congress at Philadelphia." When you read the notes of the dialog, their wisdom was stunning and profound. It almost seemed to be like a council of the greatest minds and thinkers of all time. This brought a remarkable synthesis and strength that would endure the fire.

It was reported that when Napoleon read the Gospel of John he declared, "Either Jesus is the Son of God, or the one who wrote this gospel is, because I know men, and no man could have made up anything like this." Not to in anyway compare the founding fathers to the apostles, or their documents to the Scriptures, but when reading them you simply have to conclude that the hand that guided them was the same—the wisdom contained in them is simply beyond human genius.

America is not the New Jerusalem, or the kingdom of God, but it may be one of the great examples of a nation that has been touched by The Great Commission, to make disciples of nations, not just individuals. It has truly been a light in the world, even though far from perfect, but so has this been the case of every great soul who has been a light—the glory has been entrusted to "earthen vessels." Because even the greatest vessel is imperfect, it is not the vessel that gets the glory, but the One who deserves it.

Though the United States has had many flaws, and made many mistakes, including some bad ones, there has not to date been a more powerful, prosperous, and benevolent nation in history. When America could have dominated the world as the lone possessor of nuclear weapons, she refused to even dominate her conquered enemies, but rather helped to rebuild them, and then set them free. When even our sworn enemies are struck by natural disasters or other crises, American relief is almost always the first on the scene with help. There are many, many reasons to be thankful to be Americans. Now, at what appears to be the closing decades of this age, we cannot let this great nation be lost on our watch.

The Oak is Growing

Thanks for all who are wanting to start OAK chapters in your churches, businesses, and neighborhoods. We have been pressing ahead with a few of these to learn how some of our basic strategies for starting these chapters would actually play out, and to date it has been most encouraging. We felt that since we are in the holiday season, we should keep most of our communications more foundational in regard to our beliefs and principles, but we will hit the New Year running. As every oak tree must put down some roots before sprouting upward, we are building a strong foundation so that as we branch out, we can not only do this fast, but with strength.

Starting the first of the year, these weekly letters will change and emphasize much more practical strategies for building. We are already storehousing some great resources that will help in this effort. 2010 may be one of the most critical years in our history. I was told by a Chinese friend that the word for "crisis" in Chinese is the same word for "opportunity." This may be the greatest opportunity in our lifetimes to do good. Enjoy the holidays, but get some rest, too. We are going to need it.

Dear friends & partners,

This season has made us increasingly aware of the need for more supernatural healing to take place and help us be more committed to God's agenda (i.e. "destroy the works of the devil"). The Healing Rooms have been a major blessing to those that have come to receive as well as to those who have been on the ministry side. We had to deal with such cases as breast cancer, heart conditions, arthritis, asthma, sore throat, kidney problems, diabetes, headaches, sinus condition, etc. Wow!! It's amazing and breathtaking to see how many people have been healed, blessed, relieved from pain, and cured of all kinds of physical conditions. However, we have also been ministering to broken hearts and have noticed that in the process of wanting to see God touch people's bodies we were often dealing with broken lives and souls needing inner healing. In fact, a majority of the people we prayed for did sense the love of God engulf their souls during ministry time.

We are so blessed to see the hunger of some believers who have encounters with a powerful and loving God that does want to connect with our hearts and cause us to live seeking His Kingdom first. Seeing God at work is definitely causing a much greater pull for knowing Him and becoming more passionate about His need to see more hearts finding Him and surrendering their lives to Him. This is what has been happening during our once a month Treasure Hunt outreaches in downtown Papeete. Seven or eight of us have been taking the challenge to go out after a short time of sharing the purpose of Treasure Hunt and receiving some guidance from the Holy Spirit. The results have been astounding with hearts been awakened to the reality of a loving God in pursuit of those that He wants to draw to Himself. During the last outreach we saw how this lady who was singled out through the words we had received previously in prayer became so turned on by the accuracy of what we were sharing to her that she cried each time she realized that what we were sharing with her was accurate. Her boyfriend was violent to her and she was very worried about her life and the life of her 7 months old child. It did minister to her to realize that God heard her prayers and her cries for help and that He had sent us to her to reach out in love. We left her full of hope and determination to do what was necessary to protect her life and her baby's life.

OUR LAST MARAMA NIGHT (Nov. 14th, 2009)

The Marama Night outreaches we have organized since January 2007 still draw the attention of the youth. We have a threefold purpose for those outreaches which are FUN, FRIENDSHIP & FELLOWSHIP. Marama Nights encourage the expression of talent in all its artistic variety, while providing a secure environment free of drugs and alcohol and keeping youth away from trouble. It is of course an attempt to offer to those who perform and to those who are watching the opportunity to have a personal encounter with God since part of the content of Marama Night is geared toward the Gospel and believers are encouraged to reach out on an individual basis.

During our last Marama Night we had the contribution of various groups of different backgrounds. It was so special to see the dances performed with such amazing passion. The message of Jesus' love is always at the center of each Marama Night and can be expressed in so many creative ways.

We are welcoming a minister from France, Thierry Kopp, who has been our guest in 2008. Part of our calling is also to provide a platform of expression for ministries coming from overseas. We believe it is going to be a very blessed time and we hope that it will bring a clearer vision to many as to the direction of the Lord but also an opportunity for healing and salvation in the lives of people.

Thierry Kopp began to share with the leaders of various ministries about Reformation, how it will change the dynamics of Church life and how it should lead believers to have a significant impact in the world. Up to now, we've lived very exciting times with people having encounters with the love of the Father. Even the vice-mayor of Papeete was touched by God in one of the meetings and cried profusely during prayer. We believe this is a time for many to receive inner healing and discover their true identity in Christ through God the Father. - Thierry Kopp who is visiting Tahiti right now and for a refreshing over believers and ministries;

- the greater sense of unity among Christian leaders during our once a week prayer meeting;

- Aline's opportunity to have a teaching contract to help students of a public school;

- the amazing provision for our family (including our daughters studying overseas).

Dear beloved Rev. Jorge,

Greetings to you in the precious and wonderful name of our Lord and saviour, we are doing fine by the grace of God. How are you doing? Well we have started Bible School and Classes are going on well. Well we are planning for graduation in month of January last week or February. So I have talked about this with Pastor David White and Roy. Hope they both would plan with you about India. We are hoping their presence for our Bible school graduation. please plan together and let me know your plans.

I am very delighted to let you know that our ministry in TRIBAL area is wonderful. Pastor DAVID RAJU whose wife is recently passed away is doing very well in the ministry at place called TANK BEDU among fishermen families.

Recently Pastor David Raju is ministering to FISHERMEN FAMILIES. He and fishermen families could build prayer THATCHED SHED with Pam leaves, which is very beautiful. Well the poor fishermen families are very special loving people. They have made their prayer shed beautiful way and they have decorated Prayer Shed with color papers and it is looking very beautiful.

Well last week on 18^th Wednesday day, I and my wife Shara and father Pastor Gabriel, Abraham and family went there and could INAGURATE, prayer shed for the glory of God. Well really those poor people words and love have touched my heart so much. They also offered me food where we sit with them on floor could eat food. It is very special thing to dedicate prayer shed in that area for the work of the lord.

We ask you to please pray that many souls to be added into the New Church.

Update on Ugandan Construction Manager Stoned and Beaten

Dear Precious Friends,

Thank you so very much for all of your prayers. We greatly appreciate them. They have been impacting our lives in Kyenjojo! Christopher was released from the hospital Friday afternoon. He is recovering, but he is still in an incredible amount of pain. We need to continue to pray for his total healing. His back is causing him the most pain. The bricks and stones inflicted serious injuries on that part of his body. He is also experiencing pain in a number of other areas. He needs the touch of the Lord. We thank God that Christopher survived this event. We know that it was only by the divine intervention of God that he is alive today. I praise the Lord for his delivering power and faithfulness!

We need to continue to pray about the resolution to this situation. We need justice to be implemented in this case. Please continue to pray for the hearts of the policemen and the other legal authorities who will be handling this case. Pray that they show complete fairness and do not act corruptly.

Finally, continue to pray for the protection of all of us. The workers have still been receiving threats from people in the town, but we know that our God is able to bring calmness and reconciliation to this situation. I am praying that the people who convicted the crime will have hearts that are remorseful and will turn to the Lord. I long to see the salvation of their souls!

Obama 'Reaches Out' by Naming 'Devout' Muslims to Security Posts

(Israelnationalnews.com) U.S. President Barack Obama continues to "reach out to Muslims" by appointing them to key security posts amid charges he wrongly ignored internal Muslim terror. One recent appointee was harshly criticized for appearing on a British-based television station whose host is a member of a radical Muslim group.

His "reaching out Muslims" speech in Cairo last June has been followed by action, the latest being this past week's swearing-in of a Muslim rights advocate to the Homeland Security Advisory Council, shortly after the Fort Hood massacre. HSAC members are involved in expertise on national security.

The new member is Syrian-born Kareem Shora, who was the national executive director of the Arab-American Anti-Discrimination (ADC), which previously has called on the United States to stop providing Israel with weapons because of alleged "atrocities" against Arabs. Her background for her new security post is having been a legal counsel and advocate for Muslim civil rights.

She also has been a frequent guest on the pro-Hamas al-Jazeera satellite network.

Shora, who has been described as a "devout Muslim, joins another devout member of the faith, Arif Alikhan, who was appointed as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development in the Department of Homeland Security. His qualifications for the job were listed as having been in charge of public safety in Los Angeles during his term of deputy mayor. One of his actions was to remove the plan that tracked Muslims in the city who were suspected of terrorist activities.

Americans have been jolted by several lethal attacks and confrontations with Muslims over the past year, including a plot to attack synagogues and down U.S. military aircraft, the manufacture of bombs, an alleged attempt to explode a Texas skyscraper, a plot to blow up malls in Boston, and last month's Fort Hood massacre by a Muslim psychiatrist who was an officer in the army.

A desire to avoid the appearance of labeling all Muslims as terrorists lunged out from the shadows last month after President Obama faced criticism for not taking seriously the threat of Muslim terrorism within American society as well as in the Middle East, Asia and Africa.

Several months ago, President Obama appointed Dalia Mogahed, a "devout Muslim," to his Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. She quickly came under fire for appearing in a telephone interview on a London-based Muslim television station, whose host is a member of an extreme Islamic group.

She said was unaware of the affiliations of her host, whose program included questions and comments favoring the implementation of Islamic Law ("sharia").

Mogahed explained that she did not hang up the phone in the middle of the interview because "I assumed that very few people would watch this show but that doing something more dramatic would bring more attention."

In the current issue of Newsweek, columnist Jacob Weisberg, citing former Secretary of State Colin Powell, wrote that "Obama's [Muslim] heritage feeds a broader suspicion that he is too casual about the threat from America's Islamist enemies."

The journalist added, "With the massacre in Texas, Obama now confronts something that George W. Bush did not face in the years after September 11—not just a major act of domestic terrorism, but one struck from inside our security apparatus…. America does not face a threat from the perversion of faith in general. We face a threat from the perversion of one faith in particular."

Reaping the harvest among "Mutrasa-tribe".... four souls winning... pictures

Dr. Jorge and CMM family,

    We are so much rejoicing in the Lord for opened yesterday among "Mutrasa-tribes".
    This village name is "Parimalla-village". There are 200 people living in the huts. They are very poor people. They don't have proper houses. They live in huts road side. They are idol worshipers. Both men and women drink together. Most of them are sick due to malnutrition.

    With God-given burden LLM, yesterday, myself and brother Elisha went to the village in order to share the gospel and pray for sick.

    These people are very much for hunger for God in spite of they are utterly living under poverty.

    I could share the gospel to these people. Miraculously 4 people gave their lives to Jesus and got water baptism. Priase God.
    Now, LLM has a great burden to send one missionary in order to do follow up these people.

   So, we want to place brother Elisha among these people. Please do pray that God will use brother Elisha with His anoiting. Now, our burden has been increased to reach whole of this village. We don't have any place to conduct worship and any other meetings.
    Please do pray that we will have a proper place or shelter to have fellowship. And also please do pray for brother Elisha and monthly support as we send him as missionary. He needs some financial support to live among these people.
        God has been using us and our team powerfully in these last days in spite of many challenges and oppositions.

Orphanage Worker Beaten, Stoned in Uganda

Dear Fellow Laborers in the US,

I am kindly requesting for you to say some extra prayers for our team here in Kyenjojo, Uganda. We have recently had some events occur that have injured some of our workers and friends. Yesterday our contractor, Christopher, was the victim of a mob mentality and was severely beaten and stoned. He was taken to a hospital in a nearby town for treatment last night. We have received a report today that he is improving and that he had no serious internal injuries. We really give all of the glory to God for the protection that was given to this precious man. He does have some phsycial wounds on his head and body and has swelling in certain areas. He has faced much pain over the last two days and definitely needs our prayers. We are thankful that he has shown great improvement from yesterday, but we are still believing God for a complete recovery. The doctors are hoping to release him from the hospital tomorrow.

Secondly, please pray for justice in this situation. We have filed a report with the police, but corruption among policemen is rampant. It is many times difficult to find true justice being served. We pray that everything will be settled in the correct legal manner.

Thirdly, pray for the continued protection of our construction workers and other staff members, including Victor and I. There have been events that have been happening in Kyenjojo and Uganda at large that threaten to encroach upon our safety and security. I know that God is in control of each and every situaiton, but we need to really dedicate these issues to prayer. Some of the people of Uganda desperately need to be given new hearts of love and compassion to replace their hearts of stone. God is able to transform lives and bring peace and reconciliation where there is hatred and war..

I want to close by giving God all of the glory and praise for watching over us and delivering us from harm. I know that there are many situations in our lives where we do not realize how much worse the situation could have been if God had not sent his angels to protect and deliver us. Often times we do not even realize we were in danger because of the mighty protection of the Lord around us. I look back at my time so far in Uganda and am truly grateful that I have not personally been the victim of serious crimes. I know that God has been holding me safely in His arms and will continue to-as I endeavor to folllow His heart to an area where I am unfamiliar. I finally want to thank the Lord for his peace that overwhelms my heart when overwhelming situations arise. It truly is amazing to see how God strengthens and comforts me throughout these situations. Instead of panicing or obsessively worrying, I find myself resting under the shadow of His wings where I always find refuge. I want to encourage you that no matter what situation you are facing, God is there waiting for you to rest under his arms and take refuge. He can give you peace in the midst of chaos. He can give you rest in the midst of unrest. He can give you hope in the midst of desperate situations. He can give you strength in the midst of weariness. He will prove Himself faithful, if you only give Him a chance. Keep drawing closer to His heart, and you will find more comfort and encouragement than you could have ever imagined. It is my prayer that you will experience the true joy and peace of the Lord no matter what storms arise in your life. As long as we live on this earth we are bound to face face trouble, but as long as we have Jesus in our hearts, we never have to face it alone. We always have our "Big Daddy" beside us to offer strength and protection.

Dear OAK Members,

The Oak Initiative continues to grow daily, so I especially want to welcome all of our new members. Many are joining after being introduced by present OAK members. Thank you very much for all who are sharing about OAK with your friends and relatives. This is the evidence of leadership emerging at the grassroots level that is the hope of this initiative.

Update on OAK Chapters

We are working hard on our home base infrastructure and organization so that after the first of the year we can begin working in earnest on the field organization, opening chapters and recognizing the leadership that is emerging in the field. I have heard from a number of churches that want to host OAK chapters, or field offices. As the basic mission of OAK is to help wake up the church, and strengthen her to be all that she is called to be in these times, to have chapters hosted mostly in local churches is our hope. Not only do we hope to get the present church members engaged as a voice to the important issues of their times, but we also hope to start drawing many of the Christians who are not in fellowship back in and engaging them in the life of the local church.

What will these OAK chapters be like? They will first of all be a fellowship of Christians who are resolved to be the salt and light they are called to be, and to helping mobilize other Christians to do the same. Obviously numerical growth is a basic goal in any mobilization, but we want to grow deeper in knowledge, leadership skills, a sound biblical worldview, and most of all Christian grace, as we grow in size. We are working hard to gather the materials and other aids to support local chapters, and to develop teams that can be sent from strong OAK chapters to help other chapters.

We are encouraged by the momentum and strength of OAK that is building around the country. It is obvious that The Oak Initiative will help mobilize large numbers, but we will always especially appreciate those of you who have the prophetic vision and faith to join even before we have gotten fully organized, and in some ways even fully defined. You also have a special opportunity.

OAK is not yet fully defined on purpose. Since we are not just trying to build an organization, but a living force made of people, we have to know what kind of "building materials" we have before we can fully know what we can build. In this way we must leave room for the leadership that emerges from the grassroots to give much of the definition to what OAK becomes. With core values that are fastened strongly to a biblical worldview, we want to be a living organization that is also flexible and resilient, able to take action, and when needed, react to this fast changing world.

The strongest and most effective OAK Chapters, Bases, or Field Offices will be those built on an uncompromising devotion to the truth, and to a biblical worldview, and yet be free to be creative and flexible in relating to your local region or place of operations. The Truth we serve is a Person, not just facts or principles, and our success will be determined by how closely we follow the King.

Our Creator so loves creativity that He makes every snowflake different, and every person different. He even makes every tree, and they say every leaf on every tree, different. There are no two oak trees that are exactly alike on the whole earth. There are not even any two oak leaves that are exactly alike. There are certain characteristics that are uniform to all oak trees, but they are each unique in many ways too. This is what we expect of The Oak Initiative as well. We will have some guidelines, but also the freedom to enable the leaders raised up in OAK to be free to lead.

This balance of having strong convictions, and guidelines, while also promoting liberty has been very difficult for almost any organization to develop, and yet it is basic to Christianity from the beginning, and is one reason for the success of the spread of the faith in such an unprecedented way around the world. This could be compared to the way the tracks that seemingly confine a train really set it free to be what it was created to be so that it can move forward boldly. The basic Christian guidelines are meant to set us free to be all that we were created to be, not to inhibit us. Therefore, the stronger our foundations are, the greater potential we have for growth.

These weekly letters are now mostly visionary, to state our basic purpose and strategy. Between now and the 1st of the year you will notice a gradual change, and they will become much more devoted to a discussion of current events, strongholds we're facing, and practical strategies for both addressing these and for grassroots organization.

We are also putting together a basic field manual for the field operations in The Oak Initiative. This should be available by our first OAK Congress, which is tentatively planned for this coming February. You will be hearing more about this soon.

Principles of OAK

The Oak Initiative continues to stir such interest that it does have the potential to be one of the great mobilizations of Christians. That Christians are mobilizing and coming together in unity is itself major news. This is stirring up both great hope and great consternation in many. We will certainly begin drawing fire soon, and probably be accused of many things that are not true, which is how the Lord purifies His people and strengthens what He builds. As the apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians, every work of God must be tested by fire. This is evidence of our calling, not rejection. This also reveals the true character like few other things can. Are we doing this out of selfish ambition, seeking recognition in something that looks like it is going to be big and successful, or are we doing this out of principle, seeking to serve the Truth we have resolved to follow at any cost? This will ultimately be tested in every member, and should. Those who cannot take this kind of fire would only weaken the rest.

Gathering large numbers of people is not our main purpose, but is a means to our main purpose, which is to stir the body of Christ to be the salt and light we are called to be in our times. Our goal is to raise up and empower Christians to be proactive and effective in shaping our culture. Ours is not a liberal or a conservative agenda, but a kingdom agenda. The Oak Initiative is called to be a special fellowship of those who are committed to an uncommon depth, and to having an uncommon impact with their life. We are seeking to be a strong company of those who seek to walk in Heb.10:23-35:

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering,
for He who promised is faithful;
and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,
not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some,
but encouraging one another; and all the more, as you see the day drawing near.

    First we want to be those who hold fast to our confession, never wavering in or compromising the truth we have been entrusted with. We want to serve faithfully the One who was faithful to us.

    We are also called to encourage and stimulate one another to love, and to the deeds He has called us to, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together. This assembling is much more than just attending meetings, but it means to be assembled together as the living, functioning body we are called to be. As we become joined together as we are called to, we must then keep on encouraging each other "more and more" as the day draws near. The pure waters of encouragement are going to be most precious in the times ahead, and we are called to be a wellspring of encouragement for the body of Christ.

Without apology we are seeking to help release the most powerful force for good the world has ever seen—which is to help the body of Christ, the Church, to become all that she is called to be, and to see our Savior receive a bride that He is worthy of. Even in its weakened, presently divided state, the body of Christ is the most powerful force on earth—by far. With unity this power and authority is dramatically increased.

A fundamental purpose of every OAK unit will be to seek ways to wake up the church in their region, if that is needed, and help empower her to be the salt and light she is called to be. The salt speaks of flavor and preservation. In biblical times, salt was also used to make covenants, and to be the salt we are called to be we should reveal through our lives all of the benefits of the New Covenant we have in Christ. The light speaks of showing the way through the darkness. To be either of these we must have depth of character and knowledge, as well as the wisdom to apply the knowledge correctly to the times.

To have a voice to our times we must have credibility that is based on truth, accuracy, and consistency. For this reason our goal is to see all Christians become an oak of righteousness as described in Isaiah 61, with a root system as deep and wide as their branches, or outreach, that is both high and wide. As we develop the media instruments of The Oak Initiative, we must be absolutely devoted to truth and accuracy, even when it may reflect negatively on us. The Bible is a credible witness of the truth to a large degree because it does not refrain from revealing the flaws and mistakes of even its greatest heroes.

The most esteemed and honored news anchor of all time is still Walter Cronkite. He was very liberal in his personal views, but no one ever knew this until he retired because he was so devoted to telling it "like it is." We are going to have to rise even higher, being unapologetically Christian, devoted to a biblical worldview, and still being so absolutely devoted to truth and accuracy that our integrity cannot be challenged.

One of our goals is to mobilize and train OAK Members to be reporters. We will quickly have the largest media team by far, and be able to have people on the scene in virtually any place at any time. Information and knowledge are considered the most powerful forces in our times, and we intend to use them for good. We will endeavor to establish standards of truth, accuracy, and depth that will compel others, who seek to mold society through media, to measure up to.

A current event reveals our level of deception

The tragic terrorist attack at Fort Hood highlights just what I am talking about. Do you think that for one minute this would not have been called "a hate crime," and a terrorist attack if it had been done by a conservative Christian? With the exception of Fox News, it took most of the media several days to even use the term Muslim in its reporting of this event, and some at this writing still have not used it. Why? Political correctness, which is what killed those 13 soldiers at Fort Hood, and will result in many more deaths until we wake up.

Neither did much of the media ever speak of the fact that the DC sniper was a Muslim, or the man who drove his car into the students at the University of North Carolina. Why? Do you think the same would have been true if these had been conservative Christians? Not a chance. In fact, the Department of Homeland Security basically accused all conservative Christians of being potential terrorists (all who believe in the end times prophecies of The Bible), as well as all veterans. This infamous memo from DHS should have offended every American who believes in freedom, and who appreciates the great sacrifice of those who defend it, and yet the media hardly touched it.

Recently the U.S. participated with several other nations in counter-terrorism exercises, and guess who the terrorists were they practiced defending against—right wing conservatives. When was the last terrorist attack by a right wing conservative? Where have all of the terrorist attacks come from in recent times? At best this is foolishness, and at worst it is both discrimination and persecution by our own government against the largest block of citizens in America—evangelical Christians and conservatives.

Post-modern relativism and political correctness are the main weapons that the enemies of democracy and freedom are using against us. The way that these are being used against us, and their deadly effectiveness should be apparent to all, but the blindness is that deep now. However, the truth is more powerful than any lie, and will ultimately prevail. We just cannot compromise our devotion to truth and integrity, or our power will be lost.

We are going to examine the important issues of our times in a bit more depth each week. The Fort Hood tragedy is full of revelations that we must grasp, and we will discuss this in much more depth later. However, as we do we must keep in mind the basic truth that "love never fails." We do not just want to attack Muslims because Satan will not cast out Satan, and evil responded to with evil will just multiply the evil in the world, but rather we want to grow in a love for them, and all men, so that we can deliver to all men a truth that will set them free.

Elections of 2009

What did the elections last week mean? If you ask the losers, they did not mean anything, and if you ask the winners they meant everything. Of course the truth is somewhere in between these, but where?

Recent studies have shown that if we put America on a 10 point scale, with extreme liberal being a 1, and extreme conservative being a 10, the nation for the last few decades has been between a 5.9 to a 6.5, which is a decisive leaning toward the right. The most recent study tagged us at 5.9, and that is exactly the margin of the Republican Governor's win in Virginia—59%. Virginia is an important state to watch because it had gone so strong for Obama just a year ago that it was projected to be a blue state, or Democratic state for decades to come. For it to have swung so far back to the right in just one year is a very strong indication of the trend.

For New Jersey to have gone Republican, after intense campaigning there by the President himself for the Democratic candidate, going there three times in just the last two weeks of the campaign, this is a very strong rebuke of the President and the Democratic Party. There is simply no other way to spin it, though they certainly have tried to. The country is very obviously rejecting the kind of change that the Obama Administration has been trying to impose on it.

Certainly the Republican Party has a lot to be encouraged about from these elections, and should be allowed to celebrate for a day or two. After basically being counted dead just a few months ago, there is definitely a strong resurgence going on in the Republican Party as the country resists the administrations radical turn to the left, and is already turning back to the more conservative Republican Party. Will this translate into a major shift in next falls elections too? Perhaps, but a year is now considered an eternity in politics.

The Democratic Party candidate for Congress in upstate New York won in what also has to be a serious message to the Republican Party. A high percentage of Republicans are still upset with the party they feel has abandoned many of its basic principles, and this is a clear message that it will lose if it does not run candidates of high quality who are in line with their principles. The candidate the Republican Party ran in that district was more liberal than many Democrats, and finally dropped out since she was running so far behind in the polls. To prove her true values, she then threw her support behind the Democrat. The conservative candidate almost pulled off the upset even without the Republican Party backing him. There is a lot of talk of a third party emerging, or a move for strong candidates to run as independents. Many people think this is not possible, but they forget history. Our present dominant political parties were once third parties.

We also have to note that the elections last week had very little to do with conservative social values, and was almost entirely a referendum on how the Administration is handling, or mishandling, the economy. The number two issue was health care, and this also had to be interpreted as a strong rejection of the direction the Democratic Party has been going on that. Did they get the message? Apparently not, but just continued to reveal disdain for public opinion that is clearly against this agenda.

Many Christians question if it is right for the economy to take such precedence over the crucial social issues of our times. It may not be right for the economy to trump such important social issues as we are facing today, but this will likely be the case for the foreseeable future, so what do we do? We also need to consider that for the economy to be an important issue is certainly not wrong. It has been estimated that between 1/3 and 1/2 of the biblical teachings on morality in Scripture have to do with stewardship—how we manage what the Lord has entrusted to us. For Christians to be the salt and light we are called to be this also must be something we have the heart of the Lord on, and it could well be the main issue that carries the elections for some time to come.

In military strategy if you have to fight a battle it is very important to be able to choose the field you fight on. The field of battle can have big advantages, or disadvantages for a military force. However, there are times when you do not have the ability to choose the field of battle, and have to adjust to what you have. It is almost certain that the economy is going to be the main field of battle for the 2010 elections. The only issue that seems to have even a possibility of eclipsing the economy as the main issue would be defense, if there is a major terrorist threat or attack. That chilling prospect seems off the radarscope of most these days, but it is a very real threat to quickly change our focus, just as the Fort Hood shootings prove.

The Oak Initiative has a much bigger vision than politics, or affecting elections. However, there are few barometers that reveal where the hearts and minds of the people are more than politics or the economy. Every Christian can and should know how to read these barometers. It is important for us to be able to lead our families and churches, and to be the light we are called to be in these times for our neighbors; this is about more than evangelism It is also about having answers for the world's pressing problems, and/or wisdom for surviving through them.

Even the Old Testament prophets had a remarkable grasp of these issues, not just for Israel, but even for distant nations. They gained this remarkable depth of knowledge without the Internet, Fox News, email, or even mail. We may tend to think that the Lord just dropped this knowledge on them supernaturally, which to a degree is true, but it is also obvious from their writings that the prophets were educated with an amazing expanse of knowledge of their times and the nations. About one of the greatest prophets in the Old Testament, Daniel, it was said that he and his associates showed "intelligence in every kind of wisdom, were endowed with understanding, and discerning knowledge" (Dan.1:4). This is what we are desperate for in our times.

It was also a basic devotion of Daniel and his friends not to defile themselves. We also have a desperate need for the example of those who are devoted to walking uprightly before the Lord, and who keep their vessels pure from the corruption of the times. These are the ones who will likewise be trusted with the great treasure of true knowledge and wisdom.

A basic deception

Both politics and the economy can seem too complex for the average person to understand. They are not. Any person of average intelligence, or even less, can have a very good understanding of either of these. The reason most politicians dumb down their message to platitudes and clichés has more to do with their own lack of depth and understanding than what the American people can understand. With very little effort we can have a very good understanding of these, and a sound basis for making our own judgments about what we are being told. One of our goals for The Oak Initiative is for every one of our Members to be devoted to depth of understanding, and to have a sound basis of understanding the important factors and issues of our times. As we become deeper in our understanding we will not be blown about by every wind of change, but we can lead with wisdom, clarity and confidence.

The real issue of our times is a void of leadership on every level, and in just about every field. The most successful people in any field are those who do the basics best. We will therefore seek to lay the strongest possible foundation in the basics, first in our knowledge of the Lord and His ways, and then in the important factors and issues of our times. Then we want to sink our roots deeper as our branches, or influence, grows.

As we discussed last week there are other threats to our nation, and possibly the biggest of all does not seem to be on anyone's radar screen at this time. We are going to try to put it there. When we come out with this you will understand why we had to wait, and why we have to be so careful with how it is presented. However, the strength of this threat is mostly because it is not on the radar screen, but is hiding in darkness, mostly because Americans have been made to believe it is something they cannot understand anyway. Do not ever buy that lie about anything. If you are a Christian and have been given the Holy Spirit, which is our seal, the One who created all things lives in us, and He is devoted to leading us into ALL Truth.

A Trumpet for the Truth

Two of the other The Oak Initiative board members, Lt. Gen. (ret.) Jerry Boykin, Lou Sheldon, and myself met with about a dozen members of congress a few months ago, and I was especially impressed with several of them, one being Michelle Bachman, Congresswoman from Minnesota. She was sharp, clear, bold, and had an uncommon depth to her that was most encouraging. I felt immediately that she is one to watch to be a voice of truth and clarity. I just wanted to share just a few quotes of hers from a recent press conference:

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann released the following statement as the House of Representatives approached a vote on the Democrats' health care reform proposal:

    "The American people spoke loud and clear at town hall meetings all across the country throughout August. But, it would appear that Congress didn't hear a word they had to say. The Democrats' latest health care proposal unveiled late last week may be packaged a little differently, but it's the same old bad bill as before.

    "This bill is a trillion-dollar, budget-busting, government takeover of our health care system. It will put bureaucrats between people and their health care. It will lead to rationed care, hurting the most vulnerable amongst us first. It will break the bank, leaving our children to pay the bill with diminished freedoms and dwindling prosperity.

    "The American people need to stand up again and make sure that Congress hears them this time.... This is gangster government at its worst."

This is an excerpt from her call for Americans to come and make "a house call" on congress, which amazingly resulted in about 20,000 responding almost overnight. The bill was still rammed through, much of the work and negotiating done through the middle of the night, and in secret. However, this is far from a done deal as it must now pass the Senate. This is probably the most important piece of legislation in our times, and will profoundly change America. It will not only strip us of more of our most basic freedoms, but has a very real probability of destroying our basic economic strength. We cannot let this happen on our watch. We will rally with many others to send the strongest possible message to the Senate, which you will hear more about in future letters.

The Future of the Rising Asian Global Impact by Jorge Parrott

The Church must adapt. The Message is the same, but our delivery is rejected if the recipient does not accept our package. Change is rapidly leaving the western church in the dust. The Lord is sending a wake up call to America and western thought to see and understand the forces of change, some good, some bad, yet all are influencing our effectiveness. The work of the Father is to believe. May we believe the way God desires us to believe.

If we want to obey His call to change the world, we must "study to show ourselves approved" in surprising and 'mind blowing' new ways. A picture comes to mind of a 1950's business man walking up to a bank door to go in and make a withdrawal and an electronic card reader's sign says to 'insert your ATM card to gain access', and he does not even know what an ATM card is, let alone how to use it. He rattles the door to the amusement of the new multi-cultural staff inside who do not know what he wants. They sit on his funds until our 'past' oriented friend understands how to unlock the door.

We will quickly become 'obsolete' as nation changers if we do not know how to discern the times. While not compromising the Gospel, we must see that clinging to our past 'peak' God encounters won't gain us much favor with a world that sees us as irrelevant relics of a bygone era, similar to sweet Amish folks in their horse and buggy dropping off their children at the airport to jet away and never return.

Technology can be a tool for the Great Commission but we must understand how to use its keys, its economy, and 'language' to communicate with the future. A prophetic vision allows us to see ahead of the current times and now we must challenge ourselves, by faith, to see the rapidly changing world economic scene with prophetic vision.

I will share some recent statistics from Asian markets so you, with prophetic insight and gifting, can pray strategically about a future that we may or may not like or understand, but one which we must engage in and see with clarity and ask the Lord how do we stay aligned with His heart and move forward, taking the Land for the Kingdom. Get ready! Holy adaptation is entering the prophetic economy of the Kingdom. Just as Abraham left the Ur of Chaldees, obeying the Lord to enter a strange new land, by faith, so too, are we being asked to step out into a new economic landscape with prophetic insight and wisdom that unlocks the doors of nations, governments, and business.

The Global Middle Class

In the November issue of Asian Tigers magazine, Dr. Bernardo Villegas writes of the explosion of the 'global middle class'. 1.7 billion people today are considered to be middle class, making between $6,000. and $30,000. adjusted for PPP (purchasing power parities, a measure that is accepted globally for adjusted nations comparisons). This figure is likely to grow to 3.6 billion by 2030. As much as 85% of this global middle class will live in the BRIC and N-11 countries. BRIC is Brazil, Russia, India, and China. N-11 is the Next 11, includes S. Korea, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, Turkey, and Vietnam. Consumer oriented enterprises know the middle class is the most fertile market and modern technology makes affordable and available.

In China nearly 60 percent will be considered middle class by 2015, while Brazil's share will equal 52 percent. In Russia, 20 percent will have incomes above $30,000 by 2015. Growth rates in India and Vietnam average almost 20% per year, Indonesia 10%. Out of the 14 nations that will dominate the global economy, according to Villegas, 80% will be in Asia. Villegas calls the 21st century the "Asian Century".

Next, we move to Michael Wilson's article stating that the world's three largest banks are Chinese banks. These three Chinese banks are about three times the average value of the next 15 largest banks in the world. In 1999 eleven of the world's top twenty banks were American. In 2009, only three make the top twenty. What has happened?

Of course, the Chinese government lifted $3 trillion of bad loans between 1999 and 2003 from the big banks, so that potentially is a time bomb waiting to explode. Massive revaluations or new currency risk is very real and not just in the US. God's grace indeed holds everything in its place. This fragile life, the economies and kingdoms of this world, and every precious breath, and all of creation is groaning for the Lord.

The Depreciating Dollar-What The Big Picture Looks Like

The US national debt is now approaching $12 trillion and US private debt is is near $18 trillion. When you add in unfunded liabilities under Social Security, medicare, and prescription drug programs the total debt burden of the USA is near $108 trillion dollars and with our government's speeding desire for massive health care reforms, without addressing tort reform and pharmaceutical companies turf, will dramatically increase this almost unimaginable debt load.

Our total asset value is estimated at $75 trillion dollars. If that is accurate, then we may figure that there is an asset gap of almost $100,000 for every person in America. One wonders if we had not aborted 40 million babies, how much that would change that number? Of course, a human life is beyond estimation of value, especially to our Father. With the new health care bills, we have not had many in government listening to us as we are now going to allow the government to mandate insurance company forced payments for abortions. How long oh Lord? How long?

China's investment in the US economy presents a powerful argument for the preservation of the dollar to protect its $1.4 trillion dollars it holds in the US.

China's rising high income class makes up almost one third of high end homes ($1 million to $ 4 million) being purchased in Australia.

We are challenged to study, pray, and ask the Lord how we can make a difference in the nations for the cause of Christ. Americans are reminded that at one time in 1980's and 1990's 85% of all funds in Christian hands were in American Christians' hands. We don't know what that number would be today. We are also reminded that American Christians make up less than one percent of all Christians in the world today. We know we are blessed to be a blessing.

These startling statistics seem to suggest that while the American economy is changing in dramatic ways we are not powerless nor without hope in a bright future, because God is who he is, and His will is going to be done, with us or without us. So, let us choose now to align ourselves with His Kingdom economy and seek breakthroughs and a fresh release of holy entrepreneurial skills, ideas, and marketing breakthroughs for us as children of the most high God.

We declare now that we seek to possess the prophetic wisdom and the mind of Christ, in unity and humility. We choose to be capturing the excitement, freshness, and renewed minds that are our promises from our Creator for the days ahead. DL Moody once said, "If God be your partner, make your plans large." Let's dream together how we can catch up, line up, and dream with God, His way. Psalm 2:8 is an offer that we accept Lord. We do ask for the nations as our inheritance. Show us how Father.

Victories in Africa-CMM's Jean Marc's Team Ministers Glory and Healing!!!

Jean Marc is from Brazil and travels the world with CMM and partners with many to see the Kingdom on earth. 

Hi prayer partners.  I have not had time to give you much of an update on the latest team that came, Jean Marc and Clelio, 2 Brazilians (one lives in the US and the other in Bolivia), and Reggie, Shannon and David, 3 Americans who live in Missississippi.  They are all now either home or on their way home (3 of them are ministering in England on the way home).  This is a praise report with some more prayer items to help guide your prayer, and I've included some pictures below.
 
We held an extremely effective 4-day pastor's seminar in one area, Macanga, with crusades whenever we could, mostly in the evenings.  The testimonies from the pastors were very very encouraging.  And some additional ministry in or near the mission base in Vila Ulongue.  The Holy Spirit was there in power with many healings and deliverances.  In just two days there were 4 deaf people that started hearing and 3 mute people who started speaking, one was both deaf and mute and God healed him of both.  I loved the one who came up to the platform with his mother who said that he had not spoken at all in the last 5 years and his first words were to proclaim Jesus as his Lord and Saviour.  Throughout the time the team was here we have collected a number of crutches and walking sticks from people who didn't need them anymore.  The Lord gave a word that a lady whose skin in the face was all flaking off would be clear in 3 days, and guess what, she was (don't know what it was, but it sure made me think of leprosy).  We always love seeing the glory of God manisfested on Earth, we usually are honored to be able to see a few of these but this is by far the greatest concentration of healings that I have ever been part of – ALL GLORY TO GOD, PRAISE HIM !!!  And the people's reaction is just as you would expect, they are flocking to Jesus.  One of the most encouraging things about all this is that for the first time I sense that the local Macanga pastors are ready and willing to keep introducing Jesus to the lost including the way that He has asked us to.  
Mar 16:17 "And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons, they will speak in new tongues, …, they will place their hands on sick people and they will get well".     
 
Together with such great successes and breakthroughs in the name of Jesus, we were not surprised to see a number of challenges trying to discourage us.  In all the time we have been coming to Africa this is the most vehicle breakdows that we have endured.  We lost a piston and cylinder head on one of the cars.  We had at least 6 tires go flat, including 2 blowouts where the tire seemed to explode – there were children coming from the other side of the road bringing big pieces of rubber.  Also many radiator leaks, and a number of fan belts which decided to come off their pulleys.  The wife of one of the American missionaries needed to go into hospital back home for a few days with unexplained pain (turned out to be an infection), the mother of another fell ill during the trip.  Enesia joined us near the end of the trip and as soon as she arrived started feeling pain like described of the team member's wife (again, an infection).  I was so impressed that through all this, nobody in the team was fazed in the least, we are more than conquerors, and it is encouraging to see how much interest our obedience to God is causing in the enemy's camp – he's running scared.
 
Now that this part of the mission trip is complete, IT IS IMPERATIVE that the prayer covering continues for all of us, especially covering the part of the team that has returned home.  Please keep praying, and let the Holy Spirit guide you in those prayers.  Also please pray for the additional ministry in London that Jean Marc, David and Shannon will be part of in London on their way back home this weekend and next.  Please also pray for the continued favor of the Lord on the funding for this ministry – the car issues made this trip much more expensive than expected – we were so totally blessed that one person has donated funds for 8 new tires (4 on bus, and 2 each on the other 2 vehicles).  We are entirely at ease that He will supply EVERYTHING that is necessary to complete His work – I suppose that since at this time it is not obvious how He will take care of the activities for the rest of my time here in Africa until mid-December, it will just give Him the pleasure of surprising me, and I will just praise Him that much more.
 
I am now in Malawi while we fix the bus and buy parts for the other vehicles so we can fix them in Mozambique, and giving Kenneth and Enesia some time at home, and of course some rest for all of us.  From Nov 17-22 we will hold a course at the Mozambique base for Foursquare pastors and leaders from the 20 new Foursquare churches started in this area, taught by the Foursquare Mozambique leadership.  This will be the first of 4 courses necessary to train them and certify them as pastors.  Please pray for a smooth process and effective teaching.  Thank you Hope Chapel for your financial help so we could do this.  Other than that week, the rest of my time here until I leave on Dec 12th will focus on setting future direction and vision, administration, and teaching the team in areas like running the businesses, etc.  Please also pray that we are able to quickly sell the 100,000 bricks or so that we manufactured African-style in order to raise additional funds for the ministry. 
 
Please also pray for Lindy, Joe and Charles who should have arrived in Cuba on Thursday.  I have unsuccessfuly attempted to contact Lindy on route, and have sent emails asking the Cubans to let me know if they arrived safely, but no information at all up to now.  I know I should not worry and Jesus is taking perfect care of them, but if any of you have heard anything please let me know.

Elaine Worthington--On Call, Serving In Thailand

Elaine Worthington loves to obey the Lord and she now is ministering in Thailand.

Elaine Worthington
... a prayer ministry

Elaine's prayer ministry takes her to many peoples and many places. She's on call, at His beckoning call. Often she comes alongside missionaries and works hands-on with the people. She brings others to encourage and build up missions working on the front lines. Being there, she feels the pain and hears the heart-cry and sees the need. She can stand in the gap to pray. She calls for help, connecting and linking others into the work. She travels with ministry teams on strategic missions and prayer journeys. Her outreach has been in the US and Europe and Asia.

Most recently, she has been on an extended stay in northern Thailand. Through the summer, June, July and August, focus was prayer and worship, holy times before the Lord... a prayer centre in Chiang Rai set aside for local missionaries to come together or alone before Him. In September and October, they took prayer to the streets. Well, they took it into the mountains, along the borders, over the rivers, into the cities, over the bridges, to the children and those who help them, mission centers, hospitals, even into homes.

Now it's "Pray without ceasing." Elaine will be in the states for part of November and December to coordinate plans and connect with ministering teams that may come alongside. She has many stories to tell and hopes to find help for those who are in the trenches of the nations with His heart.

We pray the Lord would bless her with loving friendship and great encouragement while she's here, and that her plans will be fortified as she prepares to go out with more of Him. Pray for Elaine, those who go with her and those she serves! - Jorge and Anna Parrott

Pray Without Ceasing
Monsoon Season 2009... Chiang Rai, Thailand

"...they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." (Is 40:31)

Chiang Rai missionaries are soaking up this Scripture because it's true. He's our Strength, He's our very Life. We must come away at times, we must. We cannot go without Him. Time with Him, there is no substitute, there is no greater Joy or Strength.

Fruitful times have been shared in a prayer centre at Chiang Rai, even special times alone with the Lord. Quiet times, restful times, healing times... Prayerful times, strategic times, intercession... Planning, mapping, praying, worshipping, waiting... And we go on in His love.

No language barriers...

There is no language barrier in the prayer room. We seem to understand as we seek Him together and believe God for each mission and for each other. What a delight it is to pray together and laugh together, every nation and tribe. Thailand is a melting pot of refugees from nearby nations: China, Burma or Myanmar, Laos... Hill tribe ministers have come more recently for prayer - Lahu, Akha. Thai Christians stop in to pray with us and to worship Him. Missionaries from the US, Malaysia, S. Africa, S. Korea, Germany, the Netherlands... There's a comraderie that's growing among the mission groups and missionaries in this city.

Chiang Rai Province is in northern Thailand bordering Myanmar and Laos.

We walked prayerfully through brothel districts of a Thai city on Myanmar's border. It's where they sell kids. Most are Burmese here because Myanmar is so poor and not always a good place to be. Many are forced out with no papers and no place to go.

Big Buddhist shrines to evil spirits saturate the streets. Fruit, food and drink are piled onto the shrines. Offerings to the gods...

A Christian drop-in center is right in the middle of it all. The government won't let the kids spend the night at the center, but there is food served all day. The kids can keep their clothes there, a shirt or extra shorts. They don't have a home or a place to put them but the center washes their clothes.

The children are amazing, the homeless ones. They laugh and play and can make anyone smile. Moms come for lunch and pause to breast-feed their little ones. Kids sit on bamboo floor mats to eat or just to close their eyes. Little ones crawl around.

Worship videos are playing in the afternoon. Teenage boys sing quite loud to the music, worshipping Him with their eyes closed.

When they leave, they go back out and hustle and beg for change near the bridge to Myanmar. We beg for their change into righteous sons of the living God. They can bring His Heart and His nature into those streets even now.

Thank you for praying for the missionaries of northern Thailand

Prayerful Journeys                                                  Autumn 2009... Thailand

Encourage the laborers...

Thank God for sending small teams out to the ends of the earth! Intercessors came recently to join with me for specially targeted prayer journeys and meetings in northern mountains. It was a privilege to go with them, servants. One said she knew it was a "Macedonian call" (Acts 16:9,10), her travel documents were ready less than four days after I called. I was glad for the help and knew He sent them. He showed us to reach out with His love together. Again and again, we found it essential to encourage the workers. "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few... Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers...." (Matt 9:37,38)

One who came was a minister from Germany, she continues to research and is still in prayer related to our journeys. She has put out a plea for help for some of the missionaries the Holy Spirit highlighted along the way. Another was a lady from Korea. She spent much time ministering in Japan and has been to Thailand before. She brought a very understanding heart to this Southeast Asian country. They both live in the US now and minister there too.

We were one in our quest in every place, one in the Spirit. "Behold, how good and how pleasant... in unity!" (Psalm 133:1) Others joined with us at special times in special areas. "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them." (Matt 18:20) Miracles unfold, His life brings forth life, holy adventures! Thank You, Lord!

Reaching out in faith...

We were taken to strategic border regions looking into Myanmar and stepping into Laos. We traveled into the mountains and met with tribal leaders, played with the homeless children near the borders, prayed for missionaries in Chiang Mai, encouraged churches and mission groups in the northern Province of Chiang Rai.

We joined missionary intercessors at the highest point of the city of Chiang Rai believing the Lord will open His floodgates here. Three countries come together in Chiang Rai Province - Thailand, Myanmar and Laos. Hill tribes have already come in like a flood in the recent past. We visited and prayed for hill tribe villages and their churches.

Thai's are being discipled with love...

We witnessed first-hand the beginnings of a new move of God for Thai churches in Chiang Rai. Some are already meeting from house to house, preparations for the days ahead. This is a new concept here and so needed now. Invaluable close-knit training and love. They care for each other! His family... growing up in Him. We continued to walk through the neighborhoods believing... We're praying for neighborhood churches as Thai believers begin to open their homes.

I'll keep you posted as we follow-up and continue to help those out there...

Save the children, they're His, they're holy.
Along the northern border, Thailand... Autumn 2009

We believe the Kingdom of Thailand belongs to the Kingdom of our God. Missionaries are placed strategically throughout the northern regions of Thailand. Some focus primarily on the border regions where kids and homeless refugees are compelled to stay.

The northern-most border of Thailand touches Myanmar. Transitory lifestyles there breed the worst of historic filth - devastation to death for many, even the young. Many have nothing, people are poor. Children on the streets have no hope with the slave trade, the sex trade, and child pornography at the door. Drugs and disease run rampant here. But there is a deep stirring in the hearts of His people sent to this region, an urgent awareness to save the children.

Glimmer of hope...

We walked those streets in the brothel districts, passed by the brazen altars to their gods, greeted begging children along the way. We prophesied and proclaimed His truth as many have done before us. Stunned in silence, we groaned with intercession. These were prayerful walks along the bordering muddy Mekong River that separates the two countries. We know our prayers were not in vain. He said to pray. "Call unto Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.' (Jer 33:3) We could feel His love for the people there, we could feel His pain. But we also saw a glimmer of hope for the future. The Kingdom is at hand...

We prayed for those who know the depths of it there, they come everyday to help the children, the homeless, the ones who are hungry. They feed them, wash their clothes, teach them songs about the Lord, tell them Bible stories, play with them, color with them, hug them, love them. They are living sacrifices, but they would live no other way.

As we spent more time with the kids, we found they love to worship the Lord. Children are children, they are willing to receive His love and learn His ways. These were homeless and hungry and dirty and tired, but they love to play, they love to laugh, they love to sing.

A drop-in center where they can find rest for their soul.

We visited a Christian daytime drop-in center where lunch is served all afternoon. The kids come by, some fall asleep on the floor while others eat and play. They will all run upstairs to learn a new song or listen to another Bible story. The Lord is everywhere. He's making an army of saints out of destitute street children who have the ability to cross boundaries and sing of Jesus in such ill-begotten communities and cities. These hopeless little ones have found His hope and they carry it with inviting smiles, they carry it into those streets...

We have come and gone and come again. We pray for the children. The kids want us to pray for them. Please pray for them too. There are many and they are beautiful. The odds are against them but God is for them. The workers ask for our prayer too. Dear Jorge Parrott,

The Oak Initiative was born because Christian leaders from virtually across the spectrum of the body of Christ came together to confer about and address some of the great crises of our times. The quality, depth, and strength of those who came was most encouraging. They came to seek understanding, and then to take action. Powerful ministry and mission initiatives were born in different parts of the nation, and they are growing. This is basic to who we are:

1) To be those who will face the times and not hide from them.

2) To be those who seek an uncommon depth of understanding,
while at the same time being action oriented.

3) To be those who are willing to work with others in whatever
way is necessary to do what must be done.

Our goal is more than just helping God's people understand the times, and survive them—we want to see the army of God prevail in them.

We also assume that if you have joined an organization like this you are a mature enough Christian to be able to handle serious facts and information, with soberness, but also through the eyes of faith that always see Jesus on His throne above any problems that we may be facing here.

If we are going to live and stand for truth, we must be willing to see the truth. If we are going to be the light we are called to be we must have solutions to the world's pressing problems, which also means we need to understand them with some depth. If we are living at the end of this age we know that it will be the ultimate conflict between good and evil. We also know that without question good is going to prevail, and the ultimate result will be the nations coming to the light and glory of the Lord, as we see in Isaiah 60:1-3:

    "Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.
    "For behold, darkness will cover the earth, and deep darkness the peoples, but the LORD will rise upon you, and His glory will appear upon you.
    "And nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising."

As we see here it is at the time when darkness is covering the earth, and deep darkness the peoples, that the glory of the Lord arises upon His people, and the result is that the nations come to the light on God's people. In all that we must address, we must keep this foremost in our hearts and minds—the truth is going to prevail. Light is going to cast out the darkness, and the nations are going to come to the light. Regardless of how dark it may seem at times, the light wins.

However, we cannot fight victoriously if we refuse to see our enemy. Believe it or not, there are many Christians who do not believe there is a literal devil, or demons. Some might think that you cannot be a Christian without understanding that there is a devil, but nowhere does it say you have to believe in the devil to be saved. However, you cannot understand that The Bible is the word of God and not understand that there is a very real devil, and he has many demons obeying him. Unfortunately the Christians who do not believe this have been blinded by the very devil they do not believe in. The devil would obviously prefer that no Christians would believe in him because he dwells in darkness, and deception is his primary weapon against us. If we do not even believe he exists he does have a major advantage over us, and will use it when it best suits him.

The fall of mankind was caused by the serpent getting Adam and Eve to doubt what God had said, and the beginning of the fall of many Christians starts with them beginning to doubt the sure word of God. If Jesus, who is The Word of God, would take His stand on "It is written!" when being tested how much more should we take our stand in life on the written word of God. The devil would have each of us question it with such thoughts as there are so many different interpretations, translations, opinions, so who could know what it really says? You can. And you do not have to be a theologian to know. The word of the Lord Jesus Himself has given us the promise that if we seek we will find. If we care about His truth enough to search for it we will surely find it. In truth, not many, and even not many Christians, care enough to seek it.

Our goal for The Oak Initiative is that every member becomes so strong in the Lord that it does not matter what happens to The Oak Initiative, the leaders of OAK, or any others in your life, but even if we all were taken out, or fell away, you would just keep right on growing stronger in the Lord, and doing His will. Our goal is that each of you have your own roots, be devoted to constantly sinking them deeper, have your own revelation of the truth that you can stand on regardless of what happens to anyone else. This begins with a desire for God and His truth that is so strong that you seek Him and His truth.

In Eph.6:10-13 we are exhorted to be strong in the Lord, and are then told how:

        'Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might.
        Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against
    the schemes of the devil.
        For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against
    the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual
    forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
        Therefore, take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist in
    the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.'

The Lord uses His title "Lord of hosts," or "Lord of armies" more than 10 times as much as all of His other titles. He is a martial God. When He brought Israel out of Egypt He immediately had them marching in "martial array." We are in a war, and to win any way you have to know who your enemy is at the very least. The most successful warriors in history have also been wise enough to also understand their enemy, their enemy's strategy and tactics, and their strengths and weaknesses. A basic military adage is that if you do not know yourself, or your enemy you have no hope of victory. If you know yourself, but do not know your enemy, you may win half the time. If you know yourself and your enemy you may win all the time.

In the text quoted above from Ephesians we see that we are not warring against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness. People are not our enemy. People may be used by the enemy, but our greatest victory is not conquering people, but rather setting them free. Our goal is not to wound but to heal. That is why we are told in II Cor. 10:3-5:

        'For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh,
        for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful
    for the destruction of fortresses.
         We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against
    the knowledge of God...'

Our most powerful weapons are love and truth, and therefore the strongest warriors will be those who have a love for the truth. We will quit under pressure if we just have doctrine, but a person in love will never quit. In II Thes.2:10 we see that it is not just those who have truth who will not be deceived, but those who have a love for the truth. Someone in love will pursue.

As I stated above, The Oak Initiative was born out of the alarm many Christian leaders felt because of the rising crises of our times. Because I have personally been addressing current events in more depth recently, I started to get more information from people who were in key positions to know about these crises. I confess that many times I would rather not have known what I have come to know in some areas, but feel that I have responsibility as a watchman to see what I need to see to help warn God's people of any threats or dangers, so I try to do the best job I can with it. I certainly would not claim to have always done this perfectly, or maybe even very well, but the response at least demonstrates a huge hunger for this among Christians.

I'm compelled to share this from time to time because it is apparent that Christian leaders who have failed to address some of the huge looming issues of the times have started to lose credibility with their own flocks. They need to hear from their leaders about these issues, not just get all of their information from the media, or other worldly sources. Our nation was born because Christian leaders spoke out on the important issues of their times, and there is a desperate need now for those who will speak out boldly. We cannot allow any intimidation to keep us from giving clear direction for those we've been entrusted with during these times. In the rising confusion Christians are going to begin rallying more and more to where they are getting the most clarity.

There have been long periods when I felt that every week I was shown that things are really much more serious than I had supposed, and have felt lately that they really could not get much more serious. Last week myself and several other OAK board members were given a two day briefing, and it is apparent that things are far, far, more serious than we have even been considering. This briefing came from top people who are used to brief the top people in our government, and others. They came with overwhelming proof of everything they shared. When it was over all that I could think was how all of the times I've said that we are in possibly the most serious times in our history even I had very little knowledge of just how true that statement is.

We are going to be sharing this information with our OAK members. It is honestly so much, and so shocking in some ways, that it is going to take some time to process it and get it into a palatable form. However, there is no longer any doubt that our nation is in its greatest crisis ever. There is also no doubt that it can be our finest hour, and a victory over this crisis can bring a future brighter than anything in our past. We are promised that the Lord will always lead us in His triumph. Even though the battle did get far, far bigger in my understanding, so did the potential victory get much bigger in my vision.

Ultimate solutions

Top management schools usually teach that if you are going to have a successful enterprise you must get rid of problem oriented people and replace them with solution-oriented people. If you are in leadership you know how trying it can be to endure the people who are always running up and dumping crises and problems on you. This is where the saying came from to not "shoot the messenger," because these messengers you really do want to shoot at times. For this reason I instituted a policy in our ministry that anyone can bring me a problem as long as they bring at least two solutions with it. This makes them think about the problems as opportunities for leadership instead of just doom. That is also what we want Oak to be known for—solutions.

Of course, this is a principle, not a law. Principles have exceptions, and laws don't. In a serious emergency I want to know about the problem, and fast, and help work on the solution. Even so, I think you get the point. Many nations are in crisis right now. One of the definitions of "crisis" is the point in a disease in which it is determined if a patient will live or die. I have felt for sometime that the U.S. was fighting some crises at this time that could determine its continued existence as a Republic, a democracy, and after last week I no longer have any doubt about this. I am also convinced that a victory over what is facing us can result in a period of unprecedented stability and strength, which will also benefit many other nations that are now in crisis.

Having spent forty years seeking to know God, and being continually in awe of Him, anything we do in the world is going to be boring in comparison. As I've shared its hard to get excited about the things the world esteems, and if we have seen the Lord then the greatest pomp of men seems remarkably petty and insignificant. I certainly did not enjoy being shown the constantly intensifying crises now besetting us, but every time I was shown bigger crises, I also felt an increasing grace for trusting in the Lord. I have so benefitted from this that I now embrace it more and see its importance. Heaven is much more fun to look at, but we are here at this time for a purpose. We may have been blessed to fight in the ultimate battle between light and darkness. The worst that can happen to us is that we die, and then go to heaven! How can we not enjoy this?

So this week I've written to kind of brace you for some of the things we will address in the future. I expect that some of you will come up with the solutions, the way that we should confront them. We will need strategy and tactics on every level.

As I have said, it will be a few weeks before we get to the most serious threat to our future that we are now facing because we do need to get it in order and present it right. While we're doing that we need to get as many true spiritual warriors in OAK that we can. As a Special Forces officer once told me, "There are many soldiers, but not many warriors." True warriors run to the sound of battle, not away from it.

   How are you? Thanks a lot for all your prayers for the digging well on the dry land for the church construction.
    We are fighting our enemy with the weapon of Prayer of two by two everyday with all our believers and children in the HOme. Today is thirday. God is at work now. Praise God!!!
     I am very excited to share with you that OUR LIVING GOD HAS ANSWERED ALL OUR PRAYERS FOR DIGGING WELL. TODAY IS SECONDAY OF DIGGING THE WELL FOR A SPRING OF WATER. TODAY THE WORKERS WERE TELLING THAT WE WILL GET THE SPRING OF WATER IN THE LAND OF CHURCH CONSTRUCTION. IT IS A GREAT PRAISING NEWS.
    NOW, WE ARE VERY MUCH STRENGHTHENED IN "TWO BY TWO PRAYER". WE WILL KEEP CONTINUING THIS PRAYER TILL THE CONSTRUCTION IS OVER.
    WE ARE EXPECTING THE FULL OF WATER BY TOMORROW AFTER NOON BY FAITH AND PRAYER. AMEN!!!

Building New Church In India

    Thank you so much for all your prayers for the LLM Church building project. Miraculously, we could start the work by laying f
foundation stone yersturday by FAITH AND PRAYER.

   This area is dominated by anti-Christian community. More over it was very hard to buy the land for the Church building among these people.

Very hard thing is no water at all on this land. It is very hard to get the water connection from the government pipe for the Church.

We need to dig a well to the deept of 100 feet, then only we can get the spirng of water. With the water, we can build this Church building. Other wise we don't have any water. First of all we have to dig a well now. Until unless dig this well for water, we can not build this church building. Today, I just called the well-digging people. They estimated for digging the well is $500. They dig it for one week with their hands not with any machines.

   Now, we are very much challenged for water for building the Church building now. More over, other side we are very much challenged for cement,iron,sand and rocks for the building of the temple of God.

   WE TRUST IN THE LORD FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE CHURCH BUILDING. WE WANT TO COMPLETE THIS CHURCH BUILDING BEFORE CHRISTMAS COMES. BECUASE WE DON'T HAVE ANY PLACE TO WORSHIP THE LORD.

WE ARE VERY MUCH CHALENGED NOW FOR BUILDING THE TEMPLE OF GOD AMONG THESE NON-CHRISTIANS. MY PASSION AND BURDEN IS TO WIN ALL THESE NON-BELIEVERS FOR CHRIST THROUGH THIS TEMPLE OF GOD.

   Please do pray and support with the digging-well and build the temple of God before Christmas comes. I don't want to be a burden by sharing this. But please do pray and support as the Lord leads you.
