从前，在某个村子里，住着一个小男孩和他的爷爷，两人相依为命。

由於家境贫穷，小男孩不像其他小孩一样有那么多的玩具。

《夏天，末》

一个炎热但微风习习的夏天，一只风筝飞到了小男孩的窗口。小男孩开心不已，便吵着要爷爷教他怎么放风筝。

爷爷耐心地教导小男孩：
『放风筝，要收放自如，风筝才会飞得又高又远，放风筝的人也会觉得很享受。』

过了没多久，小男孩学会了如何放风筝；但奇妙的是，小男孩似乎也掀起了放风筝的“热潮”，放风筝就成为了村子里小朋友的新宠。

《秋天，中》

小男孩自从有了风筝为“玩伴”，和风筝渡过无数的欢乐时光。

一天，当小男孩正不亦乐乎地和其他小朋友在一起放风筝的时候，亲眼目睹了一只风筝线切断了另一只风筝的线。眼看这只“杀手”风筝就会接近自己的风筝，小男孩马上松手放开了风筝的线，风筝就这样消失得无影无踪。

风筝越飘越远，渐渐地从眼前消失，小男孩也只能掉头离开。

原来，“杀手”风筝的主人就是村子里的小霸王，仗着家里有钱，就爱欺负其他小朋友。

爷爷：『乖孙儿，天还没黑，怎么不放风筝去呢？』

小男孩：『爷爷，我看到一只“杀手”风筝把另一只风筝的线切断了，而且还很快地飞向我的风筝。。。我怕自己来不及把风筝的线收回来，怕它也被“杀手”风筝的线切断，所以就松手让风筝飞走。。。』

爷爷：『傻孩子，别难过，既然风筝的线没被切断，说不定有一天，风筝又会再次飞到我们的窗门前呢？』

《冬天，初》

光阴似箭，岁月如梭。转眼间，七年就这样过去了。

当年乳臭未干的小男孩已变成了懂事的大男孩，而爷爷很不幸地患上了老人痴呆症。

爷爷：『乖孙儿，你看！这不就是你的风筝吗？啊，天气不错啊，去放风筝吧！』

男孩看着风筝，一副难以置信的模样，似乎不能相信眼前的风筝就是七年前放走的风筝。

爷爷：『快啊，乖孙儿！快去放风筝吧！这不就是你一直在寻找的风筝吗？』

『放风筝，要收放自如，风筝才会飞得又高又远，放风筝的人也会觉得很舒服。』

男孩沉默不语，过了半晌，才回答道：
『爷爷，我好像已经忘了怎么放风筝了。。。』

heh heh~ Sa says my canto got improve sia... =) =) =) that's the result of watching more of canto shows and listening to canto songs!!

thinking of it, the first time tt i came into contact with canto was when i went ktv-ing wif squad 3, during the christmas of year 2005, and jo & cyn sang "死性不改"... hmmm, the song really sparked my interest in the language =) =)

and so not surprisingly, the first canto song tt i tried to learn was "死性不改"... heehee~ and every now and then, thanks to jo, she sent me so many nice canto songs, out of which my personal favourites are: 好心好报 (by 方力申、邓丽欣), 等你等到我心痛、只有你不知道 (by 张学友)... and not forgetting my canto duet partner at jc clique outing ktvs, shuhui!!! =) =) =)

happening day @ work

after taking 1 month leave to study for my exams, i went back to my workplace today...

not much work to do, but today's really very happening sia... for many reasons...

1) i have a new colleague at work... and my new colleague is none other than.... (shd i start to create some ai Mei again?!!!!) muahahahaa =) =) alritey, so there, i shall go ahead wif it... =) =)

2) 2nd time tt i put my first aid skills to use... ahhhh. Teacher Mal, muz take care and rest more yea!! :) same goes for Teacher JS!!

3) me and my new colleague are so heng with the payment of sch fees... (welll. miracles really do happen when you believe in them)...

4) the kids are STILL as adorable, if not even more! heh heh~ dunno whet izzit cos i haven seen them for a month and i miss them ttz why... but i'm glad the kids still remember me!! *winks winks* they are really very very lovable!!!

5) Jolin and Cai Yi Lin were both here today... and there's "Hsuen Hsuen" oso wor!!! muahhahaaa~ machiam tvb stars gathering wor.... too bad michael jordan did not turn up today -_= hope he's not on medical absence leave??!

6) one parent whom, in the past, can converse in English, started conversing in mandarin with me and my new colleague, and even claims that he has never seen me working before when in fact i've talked to him quite a number of times about payment of sch fees... hmmmmm. 看来, it muz be my new colleague's really 魅力四射 wor!! =P =P =P itz tested and proven once again!!!

in short... i really enjoyed my day at work today... hope my new colleague oso feels the same way?? =) [<------------ psst. sounds aiMei again?!! itz done not too deliberately heh~]

Ever had the feeling of really looking forward to something, and at the same time, having the feeling of 『胜券在握』 for that something?

And you can't wait for that very minute, that very second to arrive, and to say those very words?

itz kinda like 『万事具备，只欠东风』...

and the 『东风』 is apparently something that cannot be rushed or prepared beforehand...

and... itz kinda real and "unreal" at the same time... as in, perhaps, kinda too unbelievable that it has actually happened, even though you are involved in the whole process, and you may even start to question whether you are dreaming or it has really materialized... (hmmmm. mayb due to all that long wait?...)

Jigsaw puzzles... again!!! =)

had wanted to go out this afternoon, but it started to pour so heavily... =S hmmmm. mayb heaven doesn't want me to go out today?!...

well. and so... the result of staying at home... is my Precious Moments jigsaw puzzle!!!

took me like, 6 hours to finish?... =)

but doing jigsaw puzzles with my laptop playing all the 卡拉伴奏s and MVs at the same time is quite a "luxury" for me bah... not a chore at all... Cos firstly, doing the jigsaw puzzles can so-called "“陶冶情绪" and secondly, i can take the time to find new "inspirations" and 整理 all that's in my mind... and the best thing is, at the end of it, i get a lovely jigsaw puzzle to hang up in my room!! heh heh. =)

But hor. i tink that's gonna be the last puzzle for me liao, cos i'm like running out of space... yet at the same time i'm still waiting for my dream design to appear and i'll buy it... wad a dilemma eh~

Post Exam MSE Outing

TODAY's da day!!!!

finally finally finally... the last day of exams.

well, let's not talk about how the papers went... we'll know when the results are out lah... i'll pray harder and juz hope for miracles to happen yet again... (so now you know how the papers are, yea??)

anw, all's over and to "celebrate" our freedom... we went Din Tai Fung for lunch!!! heh heh~ the food's great... me tried the prawn dumpling soup noodles (no pics to show heh!!) and the waiter blur blur never take down Sa's order for her prawn dumplings...

and after a great meal, itz DAYTONA time!!!! woohoo!

SERIOUSLY SERIOUSLY, if you happen to have 5 pals who can drive the DAYTONA machine, you shd head down to the arcade and have a go at it. GUARANTEED plus CHOP that it'll be an adrenaline rush!! omg. juz mentioning it makes me want to go and have another race!!! =) =) =)

and perhaps, due to the unusually high amount of adrenaline in my body, i broke my own record by 4 positions for the 40-competitor race against the computer... check it out!!!

omg, i'm so touched!!! by something very simple...

my tuition kid juz msged me:

"hi teacher... long tym no see, how r u? i want to tell you a good news i get position 10 in class"

i've stopped teaching her (and her brother) for about... 1 year plus liao i tink... after her PSLE... when i stopped teaching them, i told both of them that we shd continue to keep in touch... and that they can still come and find me if they have any problems in their studies..., or tell me about their results...

ended up, her brother does contact me every now and then for many matters big and small, but she's always so quiet... even tt time when i went to her secondary sch to help Cyn wif her Unit, she saw me (but i din see her), but she din to come up and say hi to me, instead she msged me and said: "teacher, you were in my school today teaching npcc? i saw you haha". and then when i asked her "you saw me? then why you din come and say hi to me?" and she never reply me... hmmmm.

but today, her sms really surprised and gan dong-ed me... *winks*

she's a really nice and thoughtful, thou quiet gal... although not as bright as her brother but i believe she'll succeed at her own pace =) muz continue to 用功读书, get good results and be a good gal k!!! i'm so happy for her =) =) =)

and i guess... simple things are already enough to make my day =)

Channel 8's showing 《老婆大人》 and i'm juz soooooooo mersmerized by 宣萱!!! *omg*. she's really irresistable man~ she's soooooo HOT. Just within the first few minutes of the show i'm already so mersmerized by her, esp. when she's in her magistrate's robe... she's soooo 帅气十足 and so got "seh"... and got so much 女人味 at the same time!

and i simply love it when she starts saying, "根据香港法律第 X 章, 第 X 条，XXX 是犯法的。。。"!!!

haih. too bad, i can't seem to find any websites that screen 《老婆大人》... ended up i found another of 宣萱's show, 《流金岁月》, on youtube and tudou, and i ended up watching them from 1AM + till 5.15AM in the morning!!! heh heh~ i know this show very old liao and channel 8 got show before, but i only watched its last episode and i still remember it till now cos very 印象深刻。。。

fire at a carpark about 150m from my house!!

*[see the thick smoke coming out of it??]

this is a photo taken from my handphone, out of my window...

judging by the thick smoke and the occasional "explosion sounds" that can be heard, i reckon there must have been lots kerosene...

but from my window, can't see what's burning...

at first, the expressway patrol police came wif 2 fire extinguishers... but unable to put out the fire...

shortly after, a police car from Hougang NPC came... no fire extinguisher thou.

and then... seeing that the fire can't be put out, the fire engine came...

and so... when the firemen started putting out the fire...

fortunately, other than these two motorcycles, the other cars near the fire did not get burnt at all. cos one by one, the owners came down and drove their vehicles away.

and what's more amazing is, as the firemen got the fire got under control, a man literally pushed his motorcycle out of the burning area, unscathed.

my neighbourhood is really happening lately.

firstly. my brother picked up a call on our residential phone, from the "Supreme Court".

If you have heard of the Supreme Court phone scam recently, you would know what this is all about.

There are some IMPOSTERS out there who will

1) First, a lady will call you and she will identify herself as the "Supreme Court Reception"

2) Ask for your Name and NRIC

3) Tell you that you have been working with illegal loansharks, by opening 2 bank accounts for them

4) Tell you that the Supreme Court has sent you a Court Summon Letter

5) Then, she will refer you to a CID officer and she'll hang up. A few minutes later, a male CID officer will call you.

6) And say that the police has cracked down an illegal loan shark organisation and they found a name list containing several bank accounts opened by several people and you are one of them.

7) If you question his credentials, he would say that he's Officer Khoo Boon Hui and will not hesitate to give you his office address and telephone number.

8) Then he told you that due to corruption at banks, your bank may have sold your data to the loanshark organisation, and so, you're involved in "washing black money" for them.

9) He will then offer to help prove that you have been framed, but you would have to transfer a sum of money from your bank account into their designated bank account at Bangkok Bank (Cecil Street) in order to prove your innocence.

10) A lady by the name of Hong Mui Ying, the so-called reception officer at the Supreme Court, would then call you and will hold the conversation as you make your way down to the Bangkok Bank.

All these may sound very "fake" and you may tink... wah liao, where got ppl so dumb to believe such a tall tale??!

but then, when they really do it to you, they execute it so perfectly that you feel like you're going through a real police interrogation.

The above story is a summarized recount from a hardcopy email that i received.

Fortunately, the victim did not transfer any money to the so-called "CID" and even went to the Supreme Court to check for the lady officer, Hong Mui Ying.

To her horror, the receptionist told her that there isn't such a lady officer in the Supreme Court and that she's not the only person who had come down to look for or called to look for this lady officer.

Then, the receptionist took out a recent newspaper and showed her that recently there was a man who was cheated of $10K also received such call claiming to be an officer from the Supreme Court.

The receptionist then asked her for her name and NRIC at the Supreme Court reception counter to check if there's any real court case or charges, and found that she had no charges whatsoever. Only then did she realise that she had been conned by those 3 imposters.

So... be careful!!! these crooks are still at large, as of 2 days ago, 13/11/2007!

anw. my brother had previously heard of this scam and so he juz garped the phone down when he heard the words, "Supreme Court", cos he was in a hurry to put down the phone for dunno-wad reason... and he regretted doing it cos he had wanted to "play" wif these ppl and see how far they can get =P

hmmm, and wad was i doing at tt time??... still in my lalaland... muahahahhaa. missed such a good show sia... damn wasted.. so i can't help but wonder wad could have happened if the person to have picked up the call was me instead of my brother. Cos i never heard of this scam being reported in the news (oops!!) and so if i were to get such a call... i tink i would have followed them all the way from Step 1) to Step 7), and then secretly laugh myself crazy when he tells me his name is Khoo Boon Hui.

Cos, this idiot actually used our Commissioner of Police's name. (fyi, the chief of the singapore police force is CP Khoo Boon Hui!). I bet every npcc cadet shd have heard of this name bah... LOL. kaoz. pls be more intelligent lah, dude!!!

and then... hmmm. and of course i wun be so dumb to transfer anything to him lah!!! and i'll immediately use my hp to call 999?? scam leh... muz faster report to the police mah... heh heh heh. Crime prevention is a shared responsibility mah ;)

back from Ubin!!

i'm juz back from Ubin and outta my shower and done wif my dinner... muahahahaaa ;)

yup, went for my area 2 ATC... first time tt i'm gg for this area's ATC... and itz also one of the shortest ATCs that i've ever attended in all these years... well, i tot it was quite enjoyable and worthwhile, even though i juz spent like, 6 hours there...?

and i cycled like... (3km x 5 + 15km = 30km)?!! hope my legs wun ache tmr, they are perfectly fine now... wahahahaaa. and ya, i'm now craving badly for an Ubin cycling trip... WILL definitely find time to do it after the exams!!! heh heh~ but wonder who would want to join me?? hmmm, shd be possible to cover the whole of Ubin in 1 day, i tink!!! =P

well well... have had a very nice break from studying... had a special encounter with **** and ******... how interesting~ ;)

so. itz back to studying now. -_=

double disappointment

is today meant to be a fighting day?? in juz less than 2 hours, i witnessed one fight at Marina Square Shopping Mall and another one at Kovan MRT.

1) Marina Square Shopping Mall

Happened to walk past the bowling centre and arcade area... And then suddenly, i heard a Chinese guy shouting very loudly... the shouting came from the arcade entrance. There were altogether about 6 chinese guys who looked in their 20s... but mainly only 1 guy was shouting at another guy; the others were mainly standing behind the guy who's shouting.

After awhile, the guy who was shouting (let's call him Guy A) got agitated and violent, and he tugged at the other guy's (let's call him Guy B) tshirt and pushed him. Guy B didn't shout back or attack Guy A despite all these. And after that, Guy B (dropped/threw) his handphone onto the floor and then Guy A kicked it so hard tt i flew about 2 metres, all the way to the Pool Hall.

And i dunno wad happened after that... Cos i never stay back and watch the whole episode... In fact, the first thing i did when i walked past was to hide the NPCC crest that's on my jacket... And as i did that, i felt like i was such a coward. Damn. DAMN. And, tinking that the arcade management shd handle it, i din call the police. Triple DAMN. Why was i having the 『多一事不如少一事』 mentality?!!! i can't help but feel so stupid and disappointed... how come at tt point in time, i seem to have lost all public-spiritedness in me, not even a teeny weeny drop left??

2) Kovan MRT

There was an indian mother who was with her very young children (1 son and 1 daughter) and she was talking to a station staff near the MRT gantry. There were two (grown-up) indian guys who have already tapped their ezlink cards and so, were standing at the other end of the MRT gantry.

This mother claimed that one of the indian guys had hit her son in his face while they were at escalator before coming into the MRT premises, and had wanted the station staff to call the police. But then, the station staff explained to her that she could not call the police because she had not witnessed the fight. And then... well... yea, again, i dunno wad happened, cos i'm already so not-in-the-mood liao...

hmmm. itz seriously not meant to be 暧昧 eh.... really.... first of all, i din come up wif that... heh heh heh... i'm not so "talented" and "experienced" wor!!!

40 unread messages?!!! i nearly fainted when i saw this today (5NOV)... cos i cleared out my mailbox yesterday late evening... -_=

and... my brother's having his A level exams now... which means. itz the A level exams for me once again -_=. wadz more exasperating is tt AJC's lecture notes are really absurd. or izzit my brother's lack of taking down notes in class... WADEVER la~

my sixth sense has again been quite active lately... woo~

1) my MS3002 assignment submission (19/10/2007)

at the point of sending my assignment via the Digital Dropbox, i had a feeling tt i had to printscreen this receipt of sending... and it reads: "The file has been sent to the selected users with role of instructor"?

true enough, today (26/10/2007), the lecturer sent me an email saying: "I have not received your assignment via the course website. Please do so immediately."

i was like... -_-. wad the?!! luckily i had my "evidence" of sending!!! and so i went back to the darn site to resend... and also, replied the lecturer's email wif my assignment and my sent receipts.

2) Predictions

Well, this one... I can't divulge the names and all, but i can say tt two of my predictions are halfway coming true already. wahahhaha.

3) Calling

ahhh this. i kind of "sensed" tt von would be rehearsing her presentation but i still called her... OOPS. haha... wanted to test my sixth sense mah... paiseh for interrupting thou... hehheh~
