The Diary of Mrs. Atom

Make a creative yet scientific diary of Mrs. Atom as she is a atom, in an elemental stage, chemically in a compound, and then physically in a mixture. Create a diary about Mrs. Atom's thoughts and feelings. You must describe each of the four situations that occurred during Mrs. Atoms's travels such as changing from elemental phase to a compound. Grade based on 1)scientifically accurate, 2)artistic 3)creativity - humorous insights into Mrs. Atom's life. Cover+7 Pages=8 page diary

Purpose; To make a creative scientific diary modeling the differences between an atom, element, compound and a mixture.

Diary Folding; As Demo’ed in class.
FOLD: Hamburger 2 pages
FOLD: Hamburger, fold 0.5 cm on folded side
STAPLE: along the side staple to make a book

Diary beginning example;
“Once upon a time Mrs. Atom ……”
or
“Mrs. Atoms life as an atom was atomic yet as she joined with more of her kind it became elemental to everyone that…..”
or DO YOUR OWN THING, your ideas are always better than mine, Mr. JTB

Diary ending example;
“…….. and Mrs. Atom lived happily ever after in her new compounded life.”
