Fittingly, the final touch before sending the film way to be color corrected was adding the final credits, which were emotional because they reminded Moe of the unique and individual contributions people made in helping his dream come true. At this time Moe extends a huge thank you to everyone who volunteered their time, maximum effort and passion to complete the film. This film was a testament to the power of group work and all the positive things that can happen when individuals come together driven by a common goal. Your efforts will never be forgotten, and we hope that everyone involved in every aspect of this film has gained something positive from this experience.

Thanks again to everyone for their participation. Last month it was decided to screen the film for test audiences to determine how to attack our publicity goals, and to see if slight changes needed to be made to the film.

I'm pleased to announce that these test audiences were extremely positive about the film. When participants were asked whether they would recommend the movie to a friend well over 60% said they would, and only 10% said they would not recommend the movie to friends.

In addition to the positive feedback regarding the film as a whole, after four long years of hard work, MOE received numerous positive comments regarding his directorial style and filmmaking choices. In written comments, several participants highlighted the use of "moe-tion" picture photography as one of the elements of the film they like the most, and a majority of the audience did not find the pace of the film to be overwhelming.

Moe is not only successful as a director in this film, but also as the co-writer. The story captures and maintains the attention of the audience throughout. Almost 80% of those in the 18 to 25 demographic said that they were sympathetic toward the main character's dilemma. Also, when asked to identify who participants believed the villain was at the beginning, middle and end of the film, almost all of the participants could identify characters in the film by using proper names, which demonstrates the story held people's attention.

The Moe-tion team would like to thank all participants in the focus groups for their time and effort. In addition, we offer endless gratitude to Dr. Mike Piczak, who volunteered his own time to assist us in putting together the focus group questionaire. We also thank his students at Mohawk College for participating in the focus groups and providing us with honest thoughtful feedback. We have learned once again that when assistance is required the local Hamilton community is always willing to lend a helping hand.
Matt Freemanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01199672699007638313noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17746887.post-1140996057609508292006-02-26T15:17:00.000-08:002006-03-13T12:02:05.080-08:00Web site updated and postproduction continues

In the final stages of sound and graphics editing, MOE continues to perfect his new cinematic technique "moe-tion photography", while we on the publicity side continue to revise the web site adding film bios. Over the last few weeks we've added a great deal of new video clips, and will be adding more stills from the film shortly, as well as more complete bios for every member of the crew that help with this film together. Blogging updates will continue on a weekly basis until the film makes its premiere.
