The adult cell groups will close down this week to enable us to come together.
There will be opportunity for prayer and ministry in small groups during the evening.

Prime Seeking God Camp 13-15 April 2007

This coming weekend is not just a camp. I trust that your expectations are high for God to touch you and make an impact on your life. In fact this could be the opportunity to see dramatic change.
We'd like you to put some time into preparation for the camp.

For the three days leading up to it, can you fast and seek God? Bring to him the particular areas you would like him to address.

We will be there to meet you from 7pm. Please make sure you are there in ample time for the first meeting @ 8pm. Supper will be provided later in the evening.

Bible

Notepad & pen

Small tape recorder (or a PDA that will record) if you have one.

Toiletries

Pillow, blanket and mattress cover are provided. Bring everything else you need.

Join us at the Prime Movie Night

Coming up - Prime Connections

We are having a change with Prime connections. The aim is to bring together all the adult cell groups of Encounter. So for that week we will close down the cell groups and all meet on Wednesday night. If you are not part of a cell group come and join us anyway. For an evening of testimony, sharing and worship. And real coffee for a gold coin donation.

The mid winter's dinner was a great success

We had a great time at Duder's of Devonport as around 50 of us gathereed for dinner. Some people braved the dancefloor and everyone enjoyed the awesome food and terrific company.

Prime Connections with Matt Fielder

We had a great night this Saturday with Matt Fielder. He shared an awesome message on 2 Kings 4:10. Big thank you to everyone who made the evening such a success. Don't forget the Prime Mid-Winter's Dinner on July 22!

Prime Connections Saturday 17 June

This month we will have our first Prime Connections in our own church building. This coming Saturday in the Events Hall we will start the evening at 7.30pm with praise and worship. We will be hearing about how the outreach into Avondale is going and then we have an awesome guest speaker, Matt Fielder, who is certain to inspire us.
Prime Connections are a great opportunity to bring our cell groups/prime links together, to encourage all people in this age group to come together in prayer, praise and to focus on God for the evening.
We will finish the evening with supper and as usual would like to suggest a donation of $5 towards this.
Watch out for some changes coming up to Prime Connections from August.

Prime Mid-Winter Dinner 22 July 2006

Don't forget that our Mid-Winter dinner is just one month away! We have hired out the whole restaurant at Duders of Devonport. It is in a lovely setting overlooking the water, and the menu is mouth-watering. Tickets are on sale from this Sunday at $45 per person. We will need to book and pay in advance, so as a special incentive the first 20 people to buy tickets will be in to win a surprise gift.
This is an ideal event to invite friends to. For more information contact Judi 627 2077 or Jenny 524 9365. Tickets are on sale from this Sunday at the PRIME table in the foyer.

Prayer-Walk and Worship

This is an exciting week for us at Encounter! This Sunday we will have our first services in our new building at 495 Rosebank Road. After so many years in rented venues this is an amazing advance for us and I am sure it will lead us into new things in God's plan for us.
On Saturday we have our first Prime Connections in our New Home.

We will start the evening with prayer walking around the Avondale area. This is the start of our influence on the community of Avondale.
We will then meet back at church for quick refreshments and worship with the worship team, who have been practising all day for the Rodney Howard Brown meetings next week. We plan an open time of prayer followed by Brent speaking. The evening will end with supper together.

Kayaking at Puhoi

Our kayaking trip was a great success. 25 of us arrived at Puhoi to kayak down the river. All made it in very good shape. The trip from Puhoi to Wenderholm took about two hours, the water was calm and the scenery was beautiful.
For some of us it was a new challenge, and a stretching of our comfort zones. We were expecting a 1 hour kayak, and on being told it would take at least two hours, there were many whose body language let them down. However, having said that we all finished and all had a great time. The biggest achievment of the day - Ann going kayaking on her 70th birthday.

We hope you have enjoyed Prime this year. We have been encouraged by the support we have received and we are looking forward to some great times in 2006. This Saturday we have a great night planned, at an amazing venue, with awesome speakers, testimonies, and outstanding worship. Plus there will be a Christmas flavour to conclude the year in style!

Prime Connections is an opportunity for you to mingle with other Encounter "Prime" people. It is also a great way to introduce friends and family members to life at Encounter.

Travelling Circus was Spectacular

It was an exceptional night last night as 55 of Encounter's Prime travelled across Auckland for top quality cuisine. Finishing off at the new Encounter venue, it was a sign of things to come. The bare surroundings were irrelevent as everyone enjoyed the food, the company and the testimonies.

Great Prime Connections at The Factory

The last Prime Connections was a great success. "The Factory" looked fantastic and had a great atmosphere. And of course it was the people that made the evening wonderful.

Remember if you were challenged by any of the ideas or testimonies that were given, don't forget to talk to someone about it.
