There are plenty of vegetarian Worcestershire sauces which do not contain anchovies and this recipe does not include any soup with animal fats either. Also, typically any soup on the shelf will contain beef or chicken fat as a base. Very few don't contain animal fats even if they are labeled as "Vegetable Soup" or "Cream of Broccoli".
